I voted against, but for a different reason. If we had gone into this was under the pretext that Saddam is an asshole, let's get rid of him, I'd have no problem with it. But the fact that the government had to make it seem like an imminent danger was looming in Iraq insults the intelligence of me and my countrymen. Also, the timing is unfortunate. We should have done this years ago. I liked Clinton, but he should have kicked Saddam's ass in this fashion, rather than firing missiles at him. I've done a bit of reading on both sides of the issue, but I still don't really think Saddam was a major contributor to our problems with terrorism. I mainly would have wanted to see him go on the basis that he's a heartless dictator psycho.

As long as we can find a way to make Iraq a peaceful, sovereign nation that isn't run by wacko nutjobs, it will have a positive impact in the long run in making better relations with the Middle East. That said, it is obviously an extremely difficult thing to do. If we pull out too quickly, religious fanatics and extremists will take over. But if we stay too long, it will look as though we are trying to form a puppet state. (Which is probably the plan but hey I can give the benefit of the doubt.)

Keep a zip file with the header in if you want. Just expand a copy out and work on that. Shouldn't be a big deal.

After reading that article, I often wonder if people are so paranoid that they don't realize that sometimes increased monitoring is a good thing. What if you leave some of your belongings in an area, and someone walks off with them. If it was captured on CCTV, I think you'd be pretty appreciative.

Having lower priced hotels will not allow you to consistently get as much money. It's better to buy like one property on those to prevent someone else from getting one. Then go for the bigger monopolies, which you might have to trade for. It seems like the most consistently landed on properties are 1. The oranges 2. The light purples 3. Yellows 4. The reds. I usually go for those.

Staying up all the time isn't what it used to be for me. Nowadays I just grow so tired that I want to curl up on my bed and pass out.

I don't have one, largely because I've never lived where they were allowed. I'm also allergic, and not so sure about how I would take living with animals. I like my abode to be ..... pretty clean. In an ideal world I would have one. Certainly not a dog (yuck)

^ Yeah I typically lean against the walls of elevators when nobody's looking. Catching a nap on a book for 1 hour is not that refreshing, but hey it works too. I have long days at school, being on campus for 10 hours or more sometimes.

In that picture cookie looks like he's been stabbed/injured or something. Mainly because of the red streaks on the radiator.

If that's the case then you probably just haven't been tired enough or aren't old enough. I could never nap in high school even if I thought I was dead tired. I would put my head down but never fall asleep. The only time I fell asleep in class was in college was when I was waiting for class to start, so I sat down in the hall way. I had pulled an all nighter, so I slept through about 30 minutes of a 1 hour and 15 minute class before I woke up and came into the classroom.

I probably would fall asleep in class regularly if I didn't care what my instructors though of me. I've been almost there in Arabic class before.

This thread is about Ed's sentimental musings over not having had a thread in a long while. Sort of like empty nest syndrome. Or I'm too old to have sex with anyone syndrome. (Don't laugh, it will happen to you some day.) Only more pointless.
