Tyantas stayed put, noticing that Ryan was going to shoot at him. He simply put his hand in front of him and said "Flame Watch."

A tiny flame emitted from his hand. This looked harmless, but in reality it was deadly. Anything within a foot would feel the intense heat measured around 100,000,000 billion degrees, but beyond that, there would be no effect.

As the bullets were shot at him, the flame held by Tyantas started strecthing towards any oncoming bullets, dessimating them before they could contact him. The molten bullets hit Tyantas, but due to enjoying the flames a lot, he was unaffected and the bullets fell to the ground. The ground caught fire due to the intense heat of the bullets. The place started to burn.

The flame he held then flew out of Tyantas' hand and headed towards Ryan. Then the flame split into two fireballs and both of them raced towards him, causing a path of fire on the ground.

Tyantas knew he could easily win this battle, since Ryan used the same strategy over again. He would have to change his strategy to win this intense challenger

Not a joke. I am serious.

Don't know if that qualifies as a prank, but it sure was funny.

...the animations are in GFX33.bin. You can edit the animation graphics in there, but to edit the actual animation itself would require some hex editing (I highly doubt ASM would be necessary).

Where to place the graphics? What the heck are you talking about?

William was now in huge trouble. Not only were the discs in play again, but his own weapon was taken from him and a vehicle was flying towards him. He didn't know what to do... until...

He reached for his boomerang shooters and turned a knob on them that read "High Density Blades." He aimed one at the Black Thorn and another at the vehicle. He waited to fire when the disc swirled around him.

He shot the boomerangs. The first one took the Black Thorn and made it jab in a wall, unable to be freed by any simple force. The second hit the whirling disc and made the disc ram into the vehicle, which then was forced back into a wall. The vehicle exploded, leaving the disc and the boomerang the only unharmed things.

The High Density Blades were indestructable, and while they were not useful in attacking, they made a great defensive move, since their high density and force would push anything no matter how heavy the items were.

However, William forgot the other disc, which rammed into his gut and slammed him in the wall. Still affected by Kyle's gravity spell, he floated in the air, sort of stunned from the disc. Unfortunatly he could not attack for this turn, leaving Kyle a big opportunity for him to strike.

OOC: Schwa asked for a battle and only he can participate, but anyone can be a spectator if only they don't go too crazy and don't interfere with the battle. Comments from the spectators are welcome as long as they don't lose the flow of the battle.

You may use any character of your choice, Schwa.
-----------------

William stepped in the arena, a colliseum of sorts that had no decoration in the middle. The spectator seats were empty right now, but once the fight has been started hopefully there would be more action in the stands. The stands and the battle arena were blocked off by an indestructable barrier, restricting any spectator involvment in the battle.

William took his crystal, still without a name, and threw it in the middle of the stadium. The crystal emitted a light, and in a flash the arena changed from a flat dirt land to a technological paradise. The arena had some floating platforms, computer systems, and also held in the middle a huge lens, which was all decoration. The crystal launched back into William's hand, which he then tied around his neck.

He gazed at the other side of the metal-plated arena, awaiting for his requester to walk in the arena.

That is exactly where they are from (but the name is The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, but I am picky). I used to play that game a lot a few years ago and I could not forget any tileset from that game. Plus that fire level was my favorite...

The screens look... ok, but I would like to see some clashes gone (come on, SMB Goombas in a SMW2 tileset?). Once that is solved, it could be better... maybe...

ExGFX are number one? Of course they are considering that all you did was take graphics already made and inserted them into your hack.

Now, if ExGFX were all handrawn, then it wouldn't be a problem, but rips are really overused.

I say that sprites are among the least important. First off, very little sprite changes have been made and adding SMW sprites with the same graphics in a brand new tileset don't really work... well, in some cases.

My list of importance:
1. Level Design
2. Graphics
3. ASM
4. Quirks
5. Sprites

However, they are all important, among these five sprites are last.

Four!? ONLY FOUR!? WHAT!? I like a whole lot more soundtracks than that... sheesh... well, I will post four this post... and maybe more... I like game music...

This post: Vocal Music

Final Fantasy VII - One Winged Angel :: What else can I say about this song? It is one of the best final boss songs in a video game, really... and adding it into Kingdom Hearts gives it more points. Very catchy song and in FFVII, the battle went with the song hand-in-hand. Really nice.

Kingdom Hearts - Simple and Clean :: Very nice vocal song. When it plays it fits in really well. I like it...

Halo 2 - Blow Me Away (Vocal Version) by Breaking Benjamin :: Really, really, really awesome song. Too bad the vocal version was not in the game, but even without the voices the song is really awesome...

Starcraft - Radio Free Zerg :: Best. Song. Ever. I mean, come on! You have an alien overmind singing! WOOHOO!!!

That is all for now...

William: "Lobster Cult? Yeah, right."

William laughed at that. William couldn't possibly be in a cult. As of so far he only traveled alone in his ship. He has met nobody except for Kyle, which he fought a while ago...

...but still, being blindfolded and still willing to compete must have meant that you had to be a good battler.

William: "Good job, though, of thinking that I was part of that cult, considering I used to work at Red Lobster before I left to stop the Windonian Empire. That is a feat I think is awesome."

William was not the least bit scared of Schwa. He could actually have a good fight in his grasp here. He needed a battle.

William: "So really, you think that I can be in a cult? People underestimate me too much... let me show you why they are wrong!"

The battle has begun. William pulled out his boomerang guns and aimed them directly at Schwa. He shot them, knowing that this wasn't his best move, but for an opening attack it worked well. The boomerangs spun towards Schwa, but even after a dodge, they turn around again, making unsuspecting people

OOC: Leaping Lobster Cult. That is funny!

I MUST GET KINGDOM HEARTS II WHEN IT IS RELEASED!!!

I beat Kingdom Hearts (not 100%, but I am working on it) and I think I am really close to beating CoM (13th floor, went to the top-right room with a save point) and I think the story is the best I have ever seen. Sure there are Disney characters in there, but we all grew up with Disney. This game was a challenge in every way and was really intense at times. I was even surprised at some points in the game
Spoiler:
such as End of the World, which had really awesome battle scenes that seemed as though it would make the game seem too dark for children.
.

I was surprised when I was playing CoM at school and people that are really addicted to Halo 2 and violent games like that actually enjoyed KH because it was so good.

I just love this game. It is just so... so good. You hardly ever find a game as good as this. Very addicting gameplay plus a magnificent storyline and killer boss fights (gotta love Sephiroth) make this game really, really good.

...too bad though I may never be able to get 100% on KH or get KH2... since I don't own a PS2 and in order to play KH I have to play my brother's PS2 and... he doesn't know I have beaten it yet... plus I need

...realease in December? Aw crap. I can't buy anything then... it is Christmas and I am forbidden to buy anything for myself between November 10th-ish thru December 25th. I am surprised I was allowed to buy my DS on November 21st...

I like Mike's theme. Plus, as Kyouji said in the other thread, Mike is the best idea for a video game character. He is the coolest character.

William: "You would like that, wouldn't you? Well, guess what? I gotta go."

Somehow when he said that the crystal on his neck teleported him instantly to the outside of the base, where he was in the cockpit of the ship, engines blaring.

However, the engines stopped their sound to let William say one thing before he left.

William: "You win this time. Just that right now I need to stop the Windonian Empire from conquering the universe. You know, hero stuff. Sorry to leave you hanging after a somewhat short battle...!"

The engines blared again, and it started hovering. He looked back at Kyle.

William: "We shall fight again..."

The ship blasted off into the sky, leaving a small trail of smoke behind him. He was gone.

------
OOC: Good battle here. I know it was short, but then again, it was really good and highly detailed. I'll battle with you again sometime...

Posted on 04-09-05 11:15 PM, in WACK-A-CLONE! -post here to play- Link
William walks into the sign-up place for a game of WACK-A-CLONE. He enters, knowing well that he wants a Standard Game of it. However, as he approaches the front, he realizes that it isn't a hit-the-mole-with-a-hammer game.

William: "What the? Man I thought this was a special arcade... well, I guess I better go back to Gracsash, a planet with a whole bunch of lava rivers, platforms, and a huge canyon rushing through it, to defeat the Windonian Soldier Group 4A8 that is searching there..."

The soldiers were not that bright to begin with and carried only a pistol, machine gun, a few grenades, and a flamethrower which was pretty much deadly to them if lava touched it. Apparently, William thought he could defeat them easily so he wanted to get back on track. He left the place to hunt them down.

(Hope that you understand... and yes, this was a rip-off of Kirbynite's way of entry. His entry was cooler though. And if you are not taking anymore game requests, I am okay if you don't do this... but I am the first to want to play a standard game...)

...wait a minute. There was a hack that featured the Koopa as the main character. It was made by someone, but it was just a Mario edit and had the original levels of SMW. I think it was unlocked too... and whoever made that made one with a Goomba...

This would be interesting, but there are some very key things to keep an eye on.

1. Palettes are very screwed up in places. Fix them.
2. Palette of the hero (aka. Kupa) should differ of that from the enemies in some sort of way (otherwise, you could easily lose track of your character)
3. Nothing really stands out in the overworld... nothing goes "Look! I am what this world is about!" It looks like a very simple grassland with no rivers or ridges or anything... just bare...

Other than that it could be good, but I would really like to see some major improvments first.

William walks in the Auditorium, noticing the many people standing around doing absolutley nothing even though they look mighty dangerous.

William: "What's this? A cafe of sorts? Eh, whatever."

He went over to the buffet, noticing a puffball eating hungrily. He pondered some of the characters, noticing how they were pretty much interacting with each other, even the ones that look like sworn enemies. He decided to grab some food and hang around a while before going on his quest.

Meanwhile, Tyantas walked into the place. He also noticed the fierce warriors and such communicating with each other. Being short, he jumps on the counter of the buffet and grabs some munchies and sits next to William. As William takes a bite of a chicken finger, Tyantas makes a comment about recent happening in his life.

Tyantas: "You know what's funny? I don't remember how that one battle I had ended..."

William: "Do I know you?"

William got up and moved to the table that Kirbynite was chowing down at.
William: "Now I get stuck with Loser B. Great..."

Unfortunatly, William didn't know that Tyantas and Kirbynite were fierce warriors...
