Wisconsin isn't that bad. It's the home of... erm... cold winters. And cheese. And yeah.

Welcome to the board.

If he's been reading the forum since December and lurking, I bet he has a good idea as to what to ask/where to get info. I hope.

Welcome.

Melvin rarely is Melvin these days actually. :\ He... gets very creative with his name changes. But at least he's still around.

Hard drives are CHEAP now, Hiryuu. I think you could easily get a Maxtor 160GB drive for under $150 American, but odds are you'll need to hit up a non-chain store for that price.

Might and Magic (as well as Wizardry) is a series I always wanted to try out. I played the NES port (?) and it was OK, but those are... well... definitely NOT console RPG's. Losing a few characters in the first battle = not so fun. But at least there's difficulty, can't fault the games for that.

First 3D jump? That's strange since the series was still going on into the late 90's... although only the last one (IX) showed any semblance of a graphics jump into 3D.

Two TV's... one in the living room (nice one too) and a small one in my room that I use to watch local TV/play games. Don't really need any more than that.

And Canada's behind EVERYONE else. Yay for Canada.

We only get Puffy AmiYumi starting in September. On the flip side, Naruto starts here on September 9th, a day before CN... but CN's showing two episodes on the 10th so they'll still be ahead of us.

Bah. Company was still over from Ontario today and I basically had no time to do anything until they left.

It will have to be Sunday then. I'm not doing a bloody thing then since I want to get this out of the way too.

I think it's a lot easier to make a top 100 for each system than a top 100 overall... but even THEN if I ever did one, I'd probably have them in no particular order. So hard to choose and justify why you put one game at #54 instead of #55.

Turkey sandwich, yes. Soup, yes.

Turkey PIE (which is what my mom does sometimes)? NO. (She doesn't make a bad turkey pie but I just don't like it.)

Oh, I could cart out my NES and SNES and pair them with my PS/GC, but...

1) No room;
2) I'm lazy and would rather just emulate the games.

RPG's are only easy because you know what to do and what strategies to use during boss battles... so that's why you mix it up and give yourself some added challenge by not levelling as much/etc.

Exactly, it's Craziness Domain #2... and it's kinda gone downhill recently to be honest.

I'll try the PC version if it ships next week as well. I think there was a very annoying delay between the console/PC releases last year.

Then again, I have no choice since NCAA doesn't come out for PC for some stupid reason. I never understood that.

Well, given how they're the company who MADE those three systems, logic would assume that the emulation will be as perfect as possible. I doubt they'd use a buggy emulator.

Look into a processor/motherboard upgrade next?

Might as well get the extra space anyways if it's that cheap so you don't have to do as much CD burning... or you could grab a DVD burner and the drive for less than $150 and do that.
