All that takes only slightly longer than an editor, gives you more control, most likely a nicer GUI, and you don't have to worry about bugs in the editor screwing up your rom.

Good for you!

As for the rest of us... we'll take chances and back up our roms before editing.

I don't know if this is a bug or not but when you pass "Castle Destruction Music 2" under music settings it changes from 8D: Unknown Music to 00: No music.

And as for the editor, I'm dissapointed. It really is as useless as I predicted. It's slow moving because you have to use the arrow keys to choose a value. And no GUI. I'd rather stick with translhexion and my list of addresses. For the many reasons I already listed when it came to DF's editor.

Do you want a freaking cookie? Seriously, I, nor anyone else, don't(doesn't) really care if you like something or not. This is very useful, you might not like it but that doesn't give you the right to call it useless.

Except you need a reference to be able to even use a hex editor.

You need a table that has:

The addresses
The valid values
Any relevant data (a list of sprites, music, or sound effects, etc.)

This program combines all these things, and it also reduces the risk of making a mistake.

Perhaps you don't like it but don't go around like an arrogant jerk delineating what is useful and what isn't. People find this useful, just because you don't doesn't make it any less useful. You're just a jerk.

If you don't like it, say you don't like it. If you have no use for it, say you don't have a use for it. If you prefer a hex editor and some references, say so, but don't go around calling someone else's work useless as if you were the final arbiter of usefulness.

Instead of mp3's, why not use MIDIs and program an emulator that can interact with the computer's sound card and use this capability in a rom? MIDIs are MUCH smaller than mp3s and their quality depends on the sound card being used, not their size.

Can anyone tell me how to change the intro screen palette? The screen that has "Nintendo Presents" on it. The palette is weird.

I know it can be changed, BMF did it and even increased the size of the logo that pops up, however all I want to know is how to change the palette. I expect someone to give me a memory address.

Ahhh! Im so amiguous! Silly me.

I meant, how to I make the intro screen use a different palette (such as pallette 1 for example), a hex or asm solution isn't out of the question, I assumed it would take either.

Sorry for the misunderstandings.

For a good example of collision detection boxes, play Vectorman for the Genesis and press ABACAB while paused. The little lights that appear indicate where collision detection will occur.

How complicated is the collision code? Has it been mapped out fully yet? Just curious, I might have some ideas to fiddle with if they're feasible.

Could you give mario a more somber expression? He's too happy to be the star of a noir. Otherwise, AWESOME! You're really creative, no one has tried this before.

Since this is becoming a press conference hosted by fu...

Are you sick of lunar magic? Reluctant to do anything with it because of all the time you've wasted on it?

If you do make a new editor (say for Zelda:LTTP *hint* *hint* *nudge* *nudge*) would you use the same engine as LM or would you start from scratch?

What is your favorite type of cookie?

The fireball actually doesn't turn, it's animated with 2 frames. He can just change the second frame to a rocket with a different fire tail so it looks like it's being propelled.
