That "not living near you" point does not prevent anything. A tourist also might infect someone else - like a chain reaction viruses spread out. As for the current desease mentioned here: I hope the epidemic will be stopped soon. Viruses mutate/multiply often and gain resistances - but as long there is no full resistance to one vaccine, there is always a way by mixing the ingredients or slightly changing the formula. I also don't think it's serious - it is mostly not good for people who are very weak. But there were already really bad epicemics and the results were good at final and they were stopped without bad results |

GMail, no POP3 or to speak even about IMAP ? No way then ... Though have an account, but since I forgot my account name AND password, I can't access it But anyway I got my account off a page with instant activation - and I had those fifty invites left too when I last accessed that account. I think I'm getting a new one now, writing down the data and then replacing my email address in my profile. Heh, just set up a new one (edited by Lezard Valeth on 03-11-05 12:46 PM) |

German - native language, though I have a Croatian passport. I was born in Germany. English - relatively fluently. Improved a lot after reading some English books, working in a small hotel for a short time. Some nasty mistakes like a forgotten "s" or word order still annoy me. Croatian - Enough to understand people and to write it. But I could improve, since except for my cousin most of my friends live here in Germany French - Little knowledge. I don't like the language too much. |

I'm impressed how many people actually take German. It is one of the most unlogical languages ever (yes, I'm stating this), although there are also neat texts from the past But the most books are better in the original version: Dan Brown's Angels & Demons -> "Illuminati" here The Da Vinci Code -> "Sakrileg" Deception Point -> "Meteor" (that one fits at least ) Digital Fortress -> "Diabolus" As for me, I'm trying to learn a little Japanese here |

Reset printer configuration in the driver (status monitor in the system tray) to factory settings. If that doesn't help, reinstall the printer drivers. Also ensure you enabled bidirectional mode for the printer. |

Well, I connected a fourteen year old laser printer to my machine (drivers for Win 3.1, though XP even has system-drivers for that machine ), it works but cannot handle landscape prints. There is no fix, so I will getting a new model soon. What I want to say is, that this should not be. I used some printers, and usually there is an option to seperate multiple documents with a blank sheet between each print sometimes. But when a blank sheet comes out of the printer when a normal print job is sent, this must not be a blank print You also could try the printer on another machine first, if possible. Installing printer drivers doesn't take too much time. If it throws out a blank sheet of paper even with default settings (which they are on another machine indeed), there is a mechanical defect - or the nozzles are closed. Ink from inkjet printers anyway should be printed out anyway not too slow. Leave an inkjet several weeeks unused and then ozzles are sticked together |

Every user in Win9x automatically has admin status, since there is no user management like in Windows 2k/XP and others, also like some other operationg systems | |||

I'm also a fanatic who adores older games, but General Gaming should be enough for both games. As long people won't start flamewars like "D00d, ur gay cube suk ps2 is teh rel !!!111oneon", there should ne no problem with all kinds of games. Although I personally like the idea, I doubt it might get that huge activity over longer times (without considering repetitive topics in a short amount of time), so things could be left like now. |

That way it was in SMW 2 with stationary P switches, like in Extra 2. Switches from clouds also appeared, but that can be compared to those ones hidden in turn or question blocks in SMW1: Once you hit it, you'll have to warp into that level again to have a virgin switch. I though about a setup which gives you three chances, but that fails due to the fact that the P switch only falls down a level (when activated you will see, that each time the switch on the bottom used up its power, a new one will fall down), when Mario is in the same screen like the switch. Due to the limits if put into one screen without scrolling, there's only two extra chances for that, without the fact the player might see that little "cheat" If there might be an ASM routine to make the P switch falling down without regarding Mario'S position in the level, it might work. But I think that is way too much work, since it requires a full rewriting of the gravity codings, as it might affect other objects and gameplay as well heavily |

You could try to forward the port MSN is using via the web interface in your router. Most of them have an in-built firewall. For example ZSNES' default port is 7845, when it comes to netplay. How to do opening ports should be explained in your manual or via Google, since every router has another UI. It also might be a NAT problem. You could try a program like Azureus. If every torrent still shows a yellow icon, you have NAT enabled. Or use on of the various port test pages found via Google. If you don't have a router, you'll need to mess with a personal firewall installed on your system. Zone Alarm Free doesn't allow to set up port and port ranges. Nice tool indeed. I wonder why PSicture is capable of rendering the images correctly, while ordinary tile editors like Tile Layer Pro use the default pallettes. Is that due to the plugins or the PSX format graphics are stored ? By the way: I tried that tool with Valkyrie Profile. It only shows eight files on both CDs (probably compressed), with a minimal amount of graphics, like a symbol from Lezard Valeth's Tower which I recognized immediately Since I have no clue how to decompress graphic, the question. Is there an emulator for PSX, which allows to disable all background layers but all sprites ? For comparison take ZSNES with all its disabling features, making ripping more than easy. I'm trying to get some of the very neat sprites, but am stuck due to the background when I want to do the animations, often "killing" the nice sprites using the battle backgrounds |

Well, there are some nice ideas and graphics in here, but most of the levels are too short, too easy and the secrets obviously immediately found. In the actual state it's a hack for a quick play, nothing too remarkable, but also not bad. There are some glitches, also the music is not properly set in some levels. You mostly worked with feather-containing question blocks. The rate of goodies is just right; except the hidden area in the second overworld. A mass of 3UP moons, several question blocks with Yoshi Inside help you, along with shitloads of enemies following after a star got caught, to get pretty easy to get 99 lives |

It might be useful only if you wanted to create a translated version of LM. But how to do that, the amount of work and if Fu would give you the source code, is another question |

Two days ago I also got notified by the (now working for Firefox itself too, like the extensions and themes before only) Auto Updater in Firefox within. I did a clean install again, that means uninstalling, backing up my bookmarks, deleting the profile folder from Application Data and used that opportunity to create a new profile like the cache on my G:\ partition. |

Originally posted by Glyph Phoenix I actually had to laugh; fortunately in German you would have to replace "balls" by "eggs" to have the joke take effect The balls might be interesting if they had additional effects added, like increasing the speed or even collision with walls, thus reversing the direction the ball rolls |

It's basically very nice and really makes me feeling playing SMB3 instead of SMW. But each level can be bypassed on the world map, or is it just my ROM (which displays the graphics correctly) ? |
