-----------------------------------------------

NEWS OF BAD AND GOOD FOLLOWS! PLUS ANNOUNCEMENT!

FIRST GOOD NEWS!

brackets updated. whoever out of black lord and dcharahos to PM me first (Xkeeper, idiots) will advance since I haven't seen either of them. if I don't get a PM in 24 hours (read: by 8/10, 15:00 PST) you'll both be eliminated and whoever's supposed to play the winner will just plain advance (whee!), so yep.

NOW BAD NEWS!

aparrently rha.cymoro.com doesn't like me anymore, so for now the brackets will just be posted here:

brackets, loaded off of my computer
you only wish you could be this awesome

when the damn thing lets me upload this, it'll be at a real server, so yay.

SUPER ANNOUNCEMENT IMPORTANT!:

play your fucking games already. matches and their respective deadlines follow.

xkeeper v. windwaker: 8/16
dcahrakos v. black lord: 8/10, if neither shows up cymoro auto advances, in which case
cymoro v. neotransotaku: 8/18

in essence, one week for all new matches besides dcharakdof and black lord. good luck!

Considering how Xeo lives in the US, I'd bet it was US dollars.

I had a similar experience, almost all N64 games I saw were $60 new.

Maybe 'shy' isn't the word, but it's close enough to my problem. Quite ironic, too... I spent much of my time when I was younger trying to help other people (all girls, actually) overcome their shyness, and then it ends up hitting me. I have no problem trying to help customers when I'm at work (even though it's not my job to help them), and even sometimes offer before I'm asked to, but when it comes to actually trying to have a conversation... eheh, I'll just find some excuse to go away.

As for why, I dunno. Perhaps it has more to do with the shy girls that I was helping; they were picked on pretty frequently, so in trying to help them perhaps I got to know the cruelty of the world, which made me withdraw more. Maybe it's being unceremoniously and callously torn from my friends years ago (wouldn't have been so bad if my grandmother at least pretended to care =/) and a subconscious fear of that happening again. Maybe it's fear of losing my temper in public. And maybe it's pointless trying to figure out why.

Nice irony there, slick.

I commented on this at Xeogaming, but here it is again:

I know someone's gonna blame the game for this. Someone, somewhere is working on it right now.

I had to think quite a bit before commenting here...

Vivec, Dagoth Ur, and Nerevar, from Morrowind. Their roles in the events of the game are limited, but... well, go into the history of Vvardenfell. Quite interesting... and sometimes, those who are believed to be good might not be. There's few clearly stated decisions on whether or not they're "good", and all of them are contestable through information in other sources. I have my opinions, and I'll leave it at that. Read the in-game books, form your own opinions, and maybe we can discuss it another time.

Delita Hyral, from Final Fantasy Tactics. I honestly can't say much without spoilers...

There, four characters. I can't really think of more, unfortunately....

Future Posters: Do try to put more details, hm? I see potential in this topic, and that is why I'm letting it live. It could become a good discussion.

I simply cannot under normal circumstances get to sleep before midnight, or at the earliest 11 PM. I can, however, wake up (sometimes) with no alarm at 8 AM the morning after staying up until 2 AM... and repeat the same thing the next night. I have really odd sleeping habits...

At night, I constantly switch which side I'm sleeping on; I can't sleep on my back or entirely on my stomach, and there's also usually one side I can't sleep on that night. This sometimes leads to me accidentally hitting the wall multiple times in one night.

I, like some others, sing along with random songs on the radio. The difference is that I suck at singing, and I know it. This is why I'm usually away from the customers while I sing. Hrm... most recent song I sung along with was One Headlight, though I didn't know all of it... there's some that I'm not too bad at, though only when I'm singing in a quieter voice. The louder I sing, the more off-key I get.

I tend to ramble. Noticed?

Well, I always thought our criminal system was, in some ways, too lenient. Maybe they're picking up the slack.

Alright, then. Now to be serious. Someone needs to lose their job, their house, their car, and give them to me go to jail.

Done.

Well, this gives them more time to fix things and add stuff. I'd rather have to wait for the game than have one that's obviously incomplete because it was rushed for Christmas...

I know something happens after we die.

Either A: T here's an afterlife... B: we're reincarnated as something else... or C: We decompose and that's the end of that. We won't know until we die, and by then it's too late to do anything with that knowledge.

Honestly, I've seen quite a bit that makes my typically-analytical mind doubt there being nothing after death. And I feel that if there is anything after death, it's another life - no heaven, no hell, just more time on Earth. But it seems more likely to me that there's nothing. And that is the future I have accepted; an end to all pain and pleasure, to all worldly needs and desires, to all rational and irrational thought.

Hmm... I've enjoyed my Xbox the most (and if younger me could see me saying that, he'd be kicking me), but most games on Xbox that I've liked are available elsewhere; Tony Hawk's Underground/THUG2 are both an all three current-gen consoles, KotOR and KotOR 2 are available for PC, as are Morrowind and Doom 3...

No vote from me.. I play my N64 more than those three anyway.. and computer more than that (Diablo 2 has reclaimed me...). I'm also highly unqualified to comment on handhelds, as all I have is GBA.

Edits: Addendum, and correcting a word choice.

Other

I usually don't eat the crust, unless I've got some sauce for breatsticks ('cause they're pretty much the same damn thing...). Often, we actually have pizzas that are kinda crustless anyway, so there's no crust to eat.

Hmm... yeah, that shot turned out terribly... unfortunately, I don't think much can be done about it. Is it just me, or can I make out the faint outline of a Mancubus in the bottom left..?

Now, as far as I know, a PWAD - that is, one that works only if you have an original Doom 2 or Final Doom WAD to run with it - is completely fine to post here (similarly to an IPS patch being allowed in ROM Hacking). It'd be nice if we knew how much progress you had made, though.

Hey, sounds like a good idea... now, I'd love to say "Back on topic, people", but the problem is that aside from a story, he gave us no details - and therefore, no real topic to discuss. (in other words, I'd do my job, but there's no point right now.)

So hey, if we play online, I'm game. Uh, if I can get it to work... Me and Waddler-D could just fine. Xk and I? Nope. Also had problems in a TCP/IP game of Diablo 2 with ShadowKnight... and ZSNES with him, too... I think my computer doesn't like online games. =/
