The first post didn't explain enough, but I understood with the second, I think he needs the HTML (or PHP, or whatever) to make an admin page

Depends what exactly you want there, you can't just copy from another site or board ... but if you want an example, just think of Edit Profile here but with admin stuff instead

Unless you can read cookie data (for here, containing the username and encrypted password) from that site, nope ... the closest you'll get is the IP

Random links can definitely lead to interesting places sometimes ... whether you search random stuff in Google or follow links from other places ... it's happened to me more than once before

Hmm, the first quicksand part near the start? That shouldn't be complicated ... just enter in the pyramid, go down from there, then use the entrance blocked by rocks (leads to the boss room) ...

There's a secret room far past the pyramid entrance, and a locked door near the end, but that's optional

Hmm ... I guess I'll try to show with screenshots

Ok, so you start here ... go up, to the door ...

... which leads you there, now go right to the pyramid entrance ...

... then go all the way down ...

... then right and bomb the blocked entrance ...

... and you should be in the boss room

If the level doesn't look exactly like this to you, there might be something wrong with the ROM There's certainly no hovering door in the whole level, except at the bottom of the vertical part where you have to bring a block ...

He's talking about Mario Adventure, not Mario Advance *fixes title*

I looked at the levels in that world, and the only one I can find that has a long pipe blocking the way near the start was in the middle, not the bottom

Just jump near the pipe and you'll easily find the hidden note blocks

Many people complain that the creation of Lunar Magic is the cause for the lack of good SMW hacks.

Think of it this way, without Lunar Magic (or any other level editor), there'd hardly be any Super Mario World hack around, and just hex editing levels doesn't get you very far, so there wouldn't be very good hacks either

I've missed out on the whole Super Mario World hacking since the early versions of Lunar Magic, but I'd say it was a good thing ... blame the overused features like ExGFX all you want, it still allowed to completely change worlds, levels and graphics, and even add some of your own and expand the ROM, that's far more advanced than almost (or every?) other level editor out there ... not to mention, level editing on anything else than NES was (and still is) quite rare

Posted on 06-15-04 09:55 AM, in Radio Link
At work last summer and winter, there was always a radio on at low volume near me (in a phone), locked on one station ... it was fine at first, the songs weren't bad, but then as the same few songs kept coming back, it got pretty boring ... not to mention I could hardly hear anything else than the singer, making the songs even more boring than they'd normally be, and I had to live with that for months

And the songs they play now are still almost the same as last year ... and of course there's also the same few commercials, and some other thing during lunch time that played its short intro song (5-10 seconds) about 5 times within a hour ... after a while, I got bored enough that I wrote down the times to see if there was any pattern to them, and there was) I even made up stupid deformed lyrics for some parts of songs, to make them somewhat funner

But here with my full radio set where it sounds better, I actually don't mind listening to the radio once in a while

I thought it was 16MB, and Mario Kart 64 is 12MB

Well I tried it, but the checksum didn't work (mine is in ABCD order) ... and I'm sure I did all the changes correctly (byteswapping them), so ...

w00t, now it works, and I've had some fun with it I messed around with the speed settings (trying values other than 43 CD 00 00), and here's some things I got ...

I changed 43 to 45, and most slopes made me fly high (over walls)

Max speed = 0 ... but I could still turn around and run backwards

Now at about 15km/h ... what a great race that was

A few quick runs with 43 FF 00 00, no shortcuts

And it definitely works in battle mode, how else could I drop that far?

Also, try changing 43 to C3, it'll act like you're constantly on jump arrows (like in Peach's and Donkey Kong's courses) ... you'll go fast without even holding A, and it's really hard to control

Lunar Magic is the first (and still only?) Super Mario World level editor as far as I know ... I remember in September 2000, I think I was at Challenge Games and someone had figured out some of the level data, and then FuSoYa suddenly came and announced that Lunar Magic 1.0 was going to be released soon

Version 1.0 didn't have much else than level editing, but it allowed to make levels from scratch (add/remove objects) and expand the ROM to fit more, and could export/import graphics so we could change them, so it was already pretty good

I beat all 4 circuits at 150cc with the 43 FF 00 00 speed (makes it more like 300cc ), that was interesting ... some of the courses are pretty easy and I had a large lead in 1st, but others (like Choco Mountain, Banshee Boardwalk, Bowser's) were much harder because I kept falling down or running into things In Peach's, the big jump threw me all the way into the castle (or rather, near the waterfall), so I had better chances if I turned left and tried to take a shortcut (which wasn't even that great either because I landed too far) ...

Wario Stadium would be pretty funny with low max speed, the jump near the end would be impossible

1GB is probably more than I'd ever need too, and I never delete my old messages (except spam, of course) ... but that service seems to be from India, rather unusual I think

I'm still staying with my old acmlm@overclocked.org, it matches my site and I got unlimited space there (because of POP3 access, so it all goes on my computer), the only real problem I have is spam
