| My question is... how could the Vincent clones continue to keep coming if they were ALL reforged (including the real one)? Furthermore, Vincent was teleported off the ship and even after editing, you STILL ignored the Force Field. ...but I can still ignore all that becease that, anyway, it would have happened even if the Vincent clones had evacuated. ____________________________________________________________________ Zerodius *transmission*: "Evacuate NOW! Remember that you can teleport inside... but you can't teleport out! You'll have to run away, steal ships, and get at a safe distance from the blast! The blast won't destroy the LuciferXIII but it should SERIOUSLY slow down and foil ANY plan they've been planned so far! Anyway, you have 15 minutes! Good luck!" 14:59:99 before explosion... ... During this time (Dimension 1, Shooting Star Summit)... ... After travelling trought a short path and climbing the mountain, the heroes reached Shooting Star Summit's summit. Becease of the location's mystical powers, it was permanently night at the mountain... In front of the heroes was the Seal of Stars, the gateway to Star Haven, the Stars' realm. On the 7 symbols of the seals, hollograms of the Star Spirit appeared... ???: "Welcome Seph. We are the Star Spirits, the guardians of this Dimension. We have been waiting for you..." Goombario: "I'll stay back. It is with you that they have business, after all! Step on the center of the Seal and listen well to what they have to say. The Star Spirits are very wise. | NeoBowser ('s real body) opened his eyes... NeoBowser: "Zerodius... YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS! HEAR ME! THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY DEFEAT! THE UEN SHALL BE BACK!!!" In a flash of light, the LuciferXIII exploded! ...or so it seemed. Where the UEN's mothership once was, there was now an armorless Hell Worm! The LuciferXIII stared at itself for a while before finally realising that it's armor was gone and that only it's survival systems were left. The LuciferXIII roared in rage and teleported back into the depths of the Prison Dimension. The FALCON agents received a transmission... Zerodius *transmission*: "Are the X Sentinels still operationnal? I know the Vincent clones made it out... but I'm still worried. Anyway! Congratulations, the UEN's plans were seriously screwed up thanks to you! Their mothership is in ruins, their new weapons are now nothing but cosmic dust, and NeoBowser was burnt to a crisp! While we did win... it is only a temporary victory. We were lucky that the LuciferXIII wasn't completely operationnal yet and that the Dark Kings didn't used their powers to enhance the LuciferXIII's defenses. While we did destroy the LuciferXIII... we only destroyed it's mechanical part. It's biological part as well as it's life-support systems are still intact and while NeoBowser was indeed burnt, it was only a mere annoyance to him. The LuciferXIII shall be rebuilt and NeoBowser will recover from this humiliation. Anyway... all units, return to base for debriefing!" ... During this time (Dimension 1, Shooting Star Summit)... ... The Star Spirit that seemed to be the oldest advanced a bit and started to speak... Eldstar: "I am Eldstar, the oldest of the Star Spirits. We have called you here to inform you of the events that are happening on our world... ever since Bowser came back to life, he has unleashed his minions upon the world and has plunged our world into chaos. As the guardians of this world, we were given the Star Rod, an item of infinite power, by the Hunters. However, Bowser knew that we would try to use it to drive his forces back so he gave to Kamek, the Dark King who is in charge of plunging our world into darkness, his latest creation, the Star Field." The Star Spirit who was wearing glasses floated foward... Skolar: "The Star Field is a corrupt magical force field powered by Kamek and his main commanders' life forces. When you defeated the Goomba King, the Star Field was weakened a bit... but as long as Kamek and his commanders will live, we will not be able to use the Star Rod." A Star Spirit with a thick mustache stepped foward... Klevar: "Bowser is terrible beyond imagination. Using the power of Everyone's Hatred, he made himself all-powerful. By using his puppet, Kamek, he is able to fuel his underlings with infinite power and I fear that only our Star Rod may be powerful enough to keep Bowser from infusing his troops with power. Unfortunately, our realm, Star Haven, has been under attack by the UEN's space fleet and we are unable to go and destroy Kamek and his commanders ourselves." Skolar spoke again... Skolar: "Bowser has improved since his last attempt at invading the Universe. He knows that, last time, he lost becease the legendary hero, Ex Lightheart, summoned the power of the Star Rod and sealed Kamek's power so... he decided to send a dual attack. Like last time, his troops are attacking Toad Town and are trying to form a perimeter around Toad Town... but this time, they're also trying to invade Star Haven as well. The UEN are already way too powerful. We cannot afford them to steal and use our most powerful weapon against ourselves!" Eldstar spoke again... Eldstar: "Seph... we know that you seek to defeat Kamek as he is a Dark King, one of your targets. However, you cannot defeat Kamek with the Dark Weapon alone. When you awakened the Dark Weapon, you also awakened the curse that was on it. You will need to find the 8 weapons that the ancient heroes used to defeat the Dark Kings, before the rise of the UEN. As such... Seph, you will have to find the Lavalava Hammer, Mario's weapon, and use it to undo the first seal on the Dark Weapon. Only by destroying the seal will you stand a chance against Kamek." The Star Spirits seemed to disappear for a few seconds... Eldstar: "I fear that we can't continue to speak with you much longer. While it looks like we're just there, in front of you, we are, in truth, using our powers to communicate with you from Star Haven. We are already using most of our strenght to repel the UEN attacks and if it continues like this, we shall run out of power. Please hurry, Seph... you must shut down the Star Field before the UEN we completely run out of power..." The Star Spirits' images faded... |

| Death teleported out of the room and appeared in the main Command Room... Zerodius: "He doesn't understand, does he?" Death: "Nope! He doesn't! ...and he DARED to call me by my mortal name!" Zerodius: "Did he... revealed the plan?" Death: "Unfortunately, he told me everything. I must now inform NeoBowser himself of the plan." Zerodius: "I see..." Death: "How long are you gonna hide them the truth? They MUST know... if they don't learn it, they'll continue making mistakes and then..." Zerodius: "Don't worry. I'm sure everything will be alright..." Death: "You know them just as well as I know them. You know that the second I'll tell them... the plan will become inneffective." Zerodius: "I know that. Don't worry... I was not stupid enough to tell them the secret plan..." Death: "Just make sure I learn it at the same time as the UEN, not before them, this time! That ZeroNumberX guy... he just doesn't know when to shut up! Worse, he tries his luck non-stop, defying the UEN as if he really stood a chance... if he continues like that, NeoBowser may order me to kill him and then..." Zerodius: "I know that. He will not give you this order. He'll never get the occasion to." Death: "Anyway... I fear that I just have to go now..." Death teleported away. Zerodius *thinks* The Legion of Doom are making mistake after mistake after mistake... I MUST inform them of their mistakes and make sure they don't repeat them. I should also speak with Gradius about his Lynxis. That last report Death made about them was... very important. Zerodius stared into the darkness of space... Zerodius *thinks* According to Death, the UEN was not even trying when they attacked. They are testing our patience, analysing our methods, probing for weaknesses... they probably have something big in store... I just hope it's nothing we can't handle... and why has the Guardians so quiet lately? Usually, they keep attacking us with all they got and never ever give us a break... What's going on? | Suddenly, ZeroNumberX received a transmission! Zerodius *transmission*: "This is Admiral Zerodius. You WILL let Death go, NOW! This is a direct order and has ABSOLUTE priority. Unsurbodination will NOT be tolerated and shall be punished by banishment to the Prison Dimension! Understood? Now... DO IT! ... no good idiot..." Zerodius turned back to Gradius. Zerodius: "Sorry for the interruption but ZeroNumberX just did the mistake I hoped he would NOT make... I believe that you do know why she serves both sides... anyway! I must speak with now about the Lynxis... I just finished analysing the way the Lynxis works..." A hollographic Lynxis appeared in front of Gradius... Zerodius: "There is a fatal flaw in the Lynxis. I've been analysing the effects of the Lynxis... and found that flaw in them when NeoBowser tried to take over the FALCON agents. It is a very serious flaw and yet, it is only when the Lynxis were used that I could see... and fortunately, the UEN did not find it. The flaw is really simple: The Lynxis makes the FALCON agents stronger and stronger artificially against possession, thus nullifying NeoBowser's influence on them... however, I found out that it also makes YOU vulnerable. If NeoBowser had used the Lynxis to bypass the FALCON agents and possess you, I fear that there would have been very little that we could have done to stop him." The hollogram began to glow red... it imitated how the FALCON agents' Lynxis reacted when NeoBowser tried to possess them! Zerodius: "As you can see, the Lynxis were designed to bring your Soul Energy toward the FALCON agents and stop a backward stream so that you wouldn't be possessed while you're vulnerable but... watch just to the left of the Lynxis... can you see it, it is a small stream of data created from the transfer. While the Lynxis themselves can't be bypassed, this stream can be used to track and locate you. While, in theory, it doesn't allow the UEN to possess you... in fact, it does allow them to. NeoBowser is linked to everyone's souls, may we like it or not. Becease of this, if he can locate a being, he can try and increase his hatred to possess him. Normally, it shouldn't work on you, since you're mentally strong and since such a blind mental attack is weak anyway... but the Lynxis nearly drain all of your strenght, thus making you vulnerable." The hollogram disappeared. Zerodius: "The flaw didn't seem that serious when we first found out about it... but... we received some critical info. Before detonating the bombs inside of the LuciferXIII, we had downloaded most of the data on their computers in a separate database... and found out that the reason was able to try and possess our troops while normally, NeoBowser must have eye contact with his target, is that they had finished something they call the "Soulnet". The Soulnet is a powerful device that makes the nature bond between all souls so strong that it allows NeoBowser to possess anyone when he wants to. These mental attacks on our troops were merely tests for the Soulnet. To me, it is obvious that they're trying to bring you down. You are the main source of the FALCON's defensive powers and if they can possess or kill you, then the FALCON's defenses will be down. We cannot afford that to happen. Until the flaw in the Lynxis' system has been corrected, I will ask you to break the connection between you and the FALCON agents. I will now return to the Lancer V2 and continue to decode the UEN database. Maybe the Soulnet's location is in the database. Destroying the Soulnet looks like our first priority right now..." Zerodius prepared to teleport outside of the Dimension but didn't entered the portal. He closed it and faced Gradius... Zerodius: "I had almost forgot! Gradius, do you have any important informations or questions? You see... ZeroNumberX is writting his report right now... but I need a report from both those who work on the scene and those who work behind the scenes..." ... During this time (Dimension 1, Shooting Star Summit)... ... Goombario: "The Lavalava Hammer, you say? After Ex Lightheart defeated Kamek, the Lavalava Hammer was returned to the Lavalava Mountain on Lavalava Island, to the south. The problem is... the Lavalava is a holy relic of incredible power and as such, to prevent evil ones from using it, it was sealed in a powerful force field that can only be lifted using the combined power of 8 people... and these 8 people are Mario's former companions! I am one of these 8 people, and as such I can break the seal... but not alone. We'll need to find the others if we are to break the seal. The closest of these remaining 7 people is Kooper, a blue-shelled koopa who lives in Koopa Village, at the end of Pleasant Path. Pleasant Path is a very nice place... but it was overrun last week by UEN forces. We'll have to prepare a bit before going there. Let's return to Toad Town for now, shall we?" Zerodius charged magical energy into his left hand... Zerodius: "Gradius... repeat after me. Zerodius is the leader of the Hunters, Gradius is not... and thus, Gradius must obey Zerodius! Understood? I had enough of the FALCON clan acting like stupid cowboys! You are Hunters, you are this world's guardians! You should... I mean, you must think BEFORE doing something! Death is a critical agent. Without her, we cannot prepare against the UEN's assaults. Guess what? The bomb that nuked the LuciferXIII was built using blueprints Death stole! The X Virus was designed thanks to DNA and Soul data that Death got! I could name so many more of our secret weapons that were created thanks to her... but you're a mere mortal. All of this is beyond your understanding." Zerodius paused... the magical energy took the form of a sphere! Zerodius: "I always knew that it was risky to give the FALCON clan such an important task. They are stupid bloodthirsty fanatics that shoot first and ask questions later. Furthermore, due to their chaotic nature, we determined that unless controlled directly, the FALCON clan has 99.99% chances of betraying us. In short, you are filled with so much hatred that people would think you are UEN soldiers, not Hunters. Fortunately, you do not serve NeoBowser... for now. I will now do one more futile attempt at trying to reason you." The spell disappeared... or so it seemed. Zerodius had only stocked it into his Arm Cannon as a bullet in case Gradius would try anything funny. Zerodius: "The life-form number D-73878 codenamed "Celebi" is no ordinary being... After analysis, we had found out that she was the very incarnation of the end of everyone's lives... in short, she's Death. She is not a Grim Reaper, she is not a Doom Spirit... she's Death, the one and only. However, Celebi has no control over her powers. Her mortal consciousness has no control over her inner, dark powers. For millenias, Celebi went on a rampage, killing all living things she met... against her own will. Her friends, her family, all those she cared for were consumed by her own power. In the end, we sealed her inner power by linking her to the Doom Scythe, a living scythe made of human bones that feeds on all the souls Death harvest. Thanks to the power of the souls the weapon eats, Celebi has gained the power to nullify her thirst for murder... but couldn't control her power. As such, Celebi can't choose her master. Now listen carefully. NeoBowser is the Absolute Evil and since the Absolute Evil is the Bringer of Death, then it means that NeoBowser and Celebi are natural allies, since NeoBowser's power summon Celebi and since Celebi's power keeps NeoBowser at full strenght. However, Celebi's mortal soul doesn't want to serve him... and she knows that once the Universe will be his, NeoBowser will take care of her. As such, she begged us to help her, to help her fight her own nature and destiny. While Celebi is forced to serve NeoBowser... it does not mean that she like him... or that she's forced to do her best helping him! As such, trought sabotage and spying, Celebi has helped us. Celebi's bond with NeoBowser can't be broken and we can't give her eternal peace, either. You have to understand that Celebi is a double-edged weapon... working both for us and against us. There is nothing we can do to change that... so you will have to accept it." Zerodius paused... Zerodius: "Well, I guess that's it. Gradius, I knew that the day would come when your loyalty to our cause would be tested... Have mercy upon this soul, Gradius. She will never, ever be able to be free. She will always suffer the fate of seeing all those she love die again and again and again... she will never be able to live a normal life becease of her destructive nature... and she will never, ever be freed of her pain by the eternal peace. Such is her curse... the curse of the Eternal Ones, beings that can never die... even you, Gradius, will die... and so will I... but not her. She has been cursed to eternal damnation... have mercy upon her and let her go... If you are unable to feel mercy for this poor soul... then I do not think that you deserve to help us." Zerodius *thinks* I know that you can read my toughts, Gradius, so listen well! If you can't feel mercy for Celebi... then you shall be kicked out of the Hunters and your memory shall be erased. It is necessary for the only possible result that those who lack virtue will get when fighting the UEN is fKitten Yiffer. The Guardians were once our FALCON clan... but their ambitions and lack of mercy turned them into sadistic monsters. Gradius... the FALCON clan seems to be following the Guardians' path... for it is very, very similar to what they once were... too similar to my taste. ... During this time... ... You also fails to understand that you're not the master of the entire Universe and that I could kick your sorry a** anytime I want... and so can NeoBowser! You couldn't kill NeoBowser becease that you tried to overcharge him with hatred and pain. NeoBowser is almost entirely made of pain and hatred, attacks such as this one merely makes him stronger. If Death wouldn't have destroyed the urn... the UEN would have conquered us all and all that was once good in this Universe would have disappeared. Yes... my speech was harsh... but I was right, in the end... unfortunately. Your cause is simply destruction... vengeance... such causes lead nowhere. You already have a much noble cause... but you don't accept it. You let your hatred lead you... Should you survive the loss of your immortality, I hope you will learn, Gradius..." It is very hard but I will ask you to ask for my advice before launching major operations starting now. We were lucky this time. Death was in a perfect situation to intervene... it won't always be like that however. ZeroNumberX, the fKitten Yiffer of your operation and the fall of your main ally, Gradius, should have tought you a very important lesson... You can't act alone and you need a better cause than just personnal vengeance... Also... you spoke about the Hunters being identical to the FALCON clan... I shall now tell you the differences. We have a superior cause, we just doesn't use allies as ways of getting more men or more technology... they're true allies that fight alongside us. | Off: The power that was inside of NeoBowser was Everyone's Hatred. Gradius is ABSOLUTELY no match for this power for he is FAR weaker than this power... for this power include Gradius'. In short, it is completely, entirely impossible that NeoBowser would fail. Also, even if Gradius could oppose NeoBowser (impossible... but it's just a theory, anyway), there is still this little problem: NeoBowser is completely, entirely invincible. ONLY the Dark Weapon can harm him and NOTHING else. Even if Gradius is stronger than NeoBowser, there is no way Gradius can defeat NeoBowser for NeoBowser can't be hurt by anyone but Seph (since she's the one wielding the Dark Weapon). | NeoBowser's abilities can be countered, Gradius can't. Who's cheaper? The Soulnet was, just as the intervention of Legion was, another attempt at keeping you from god-modding... but it looks like you'll stop at nothing to god-mod and attempt to end the story in less than 3 posts becease you're lazy or something... Your characters are supposed to begin WEAKER than the enemies and become stronger than AFTER passing MANY LONG trials. Making an excuse to god-mod (Gradius, anyone?) is NOT accepted. I was more thinking about your characters exploring, slowly gaining ground on the UEN... In short, if this was a strategy game, you're trying to win using hacks and cheats while you're supposed to use strategies... and I think that all this stuff should be said via PM/MSN Messenger... but you're never online for some reason. I guess that we should also change this story's focus, also. Who's this story's main character? ZeroNumberX or Seph?
