Run a search for msconfig.exe On my German XP installation it is found under C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries (Yes, in the Binaries folder and can be run normally either by typing msconfig in "Run" or clicking directly on it). If it cannot be found, update your antivirus and Ad-Aware/Spybot, boot into Safe Mode and perform a full system scan. You also might try a repair install - or try to locate the msconfig.exe somewhere on your Windows CD and copy it to the proper position. |

Originally posted by dan Yes, it even lacks some basic things which was implemented later. So on my old copy a guest could search for admin's posts - it showed also these in restricted forums (it is not that hard to change that with adding something checking power if powerlevel>0 - but just for knowing ) |

106 in total, only about 30 of them online regularly every time I sign on. But since I'm demotivated, I'm online rarely at the moment. |

Originally posted by Danielle I thought about that either. M'eh ... putting a card of thicker paper, sized like a credit card into a cell phone - where usually only a small SIM fits ... |

Originally posted by FreeDOS In Germany a law was passed last year: Unless there is NO copy protection, you may create a backup of any CD/DVD. Programs bypassing these protections are considered illegal since then - such as Alcohol 52 and 120 % for instance - although I saw it in a store yesterday When making backups from DVDs, ensure you have sufficient space on the partition, to the around 5 GB of free space required (since on a single sided DVD can be up to 4.7 GB of data) you should have 1 or 2 Gigs more for temp data available when copying a DVD. Oh, and shutdown too resource consuming programs to prevent a buffer underrun - although this doesn't happen that often like two years ago |

Many people have the newest hardware, good routers and W-LAN stuff, but the networks are open very often; so with little work you won't need an own internet connection at all when you want to surf outside Some time ago my ISP shur down my connection a month due to a wrong entry (I moved, so I gave the order five weeks ahead (!), they disconnected it too early ), without Internet it is not that major problem - but without telephone ... I got the monthly fee back in full, anyway I couldn't phone at all |

1.) Rainbow Road. Gotta like that place where the designers seemed to be on a LSD trip when you drive on that track every time (edited by Surlent on 11-30-04 01:23 PM) |

I never experienced major problems in hacks when people placed Message Boxes in castles using Layer 3 objects, but there might be other purposes with these blocks as well than fixing that glitch only. Think about that: Like in FPI's TSRP II you might put a blue koopa an a shell in a small gap not accessible by Mario - locked up with one of these blocks. So you might have to be damn quick to cross some Layer 3 platforms until the Koopa kicks the shell and you fall down into the lava To the left might be positioned a Layer 3 ON block to reset the flag. The download worked very well for me in Firefox 1.0, but the link should be copied and pasted by hand into the address bar. |

173 centimeter = 5.675853 feet. Two of my friends are 1.98 and 2,02 m in height, pretty tall. All other ones are at least one or two centimeters higher than me, but I don't care (edited by Surlent on 12-02-04 04:22 AM) |

I'm using my Logitech Dual Action, which is exactely a copy from the original PS2 pad with two analogue sticks. The only feature I'm missing is force feedback, so maybe there might be way to emulate a virtual Rumble Pak, which is handy when it comes for playing Zelda OoT Emulating with a non N64ish pad is a bitch, since the analogue stick has slightly too much intensity, although I can play Zelda OoT still very conveniently, like walking over very thin areas like the chains high above in Goron Cave. On the other hand it s really great when I'm running ePSXe If I play Tetris Attack or any puzzle game, I rather prefer the keyboard, since the d-pad is not that good My setup is on the keyboard as below Start = Enter Select = Spacebar Y = Y ( ) X = X B = A A = S L = Q R = W and the arrow keys for the directions. Small animated GIFs as an avatar or tiny ones in your sig => okay and if placed right, nice. In a layout, these suck. Although I like Star Ocean's sprites, this animation is not that good, though it requires some work to remove the background of Mint's casting animation to make the BG transparent. The background is way too pixelized, too. (edited by Surlent on 12-04-04 09:06 AM) |

This is impossible afair. Hardware diagnostics usually can't be done with software. A program might tell you if a a driver is damaged or if it can find a plugged floppy or not. So a burnt or broken connector cannot be found by software (edited by Surlent on 12-05-04 03:52 AM) |

Joker Mario Icon: Joker Suit Effect: First, question blocks lose their abilities but function like a slot machine now. Icons are mushrooms, flowers, stars, 7s and skulls So you bump a block, then a roulette will decide what will appear. Every third block finishes roulette. Three mushrooms give Mario one additional hitpoint, three flowers power up his fire power if he gets a fire flower in that level (to break these big SMB3 ice blocks). Three stars give him star power, twice as long usually. Three 7s give Mario amazing powers for 30 seconds. Whenever he hits the Z Button, a large wave wipes out all smaller enemies, hurting bigger ones. It takrs 4 seconds time to recharge between each attack. Three skulls mean instant death - both Mario and _all_ enemies die at once. Not good Any other setup will result in getting coins. Laser Mario Icon: Beam: Spazer Effect: Mario gets a powerful beam. That weapon burns anything, it can be a small Goomba or a nig Mole - also creating holes in any obstacle. The downside is the usage. You get an energy meter when you receive the Spazer, one shot takes one third of the meter, the magic meter recharges when Mario is outside _and_ walks - solar cells with a kind of dynamo combined. So no quick kill of Bowser or frying ghosts in their houses Lightning Mario Icon: Sort of Lightning one Effect: Allows Mario to cast lightning bolts on the screen. These search the highest obstacle available - so a high pipe or enemy on a flat will be hit instantly. If Mario is in a flat area and all enemies are smaller than himself, it will hit himself If there are several targets on the same height, it will be chosen randomly what is hit. The Lightning bolt inflicts one "damage point", so a Koopa hit gets flipped and so on. Can be used until all clouds vanished in the sky. Time Mario Icon: Stopwatch Effect: That allows Mario to rewind the time. So cast fireballs return to the caster (while still inflicting damage while touched), enemies move backwards - as also the time does that. |

Same for me; although my nickname doesn't fit for my old or new user name used in message boards, I built a small list of people I chat regularly. The server list is stored both on my computer and on the net using Miranda - so even IF it got misused, I'd notified all my contacts immediate | |||

Originally posted by Tarale Yes, I also wear this and I don't kill people (gotta get a few other ones, since I know a place to get them cheap) So just for someone is wearing, don't consider their mind; it also needs if you are active or not outside But as for topic, I dislike any cult or way people go which people don't allow to adjust their ways to reach their aim, but go really STRAIGHT forwared, without regards of losses. Tolerance might be okay, but some things cannot be changed. So the current police system or make the workers rule their own country. Of course, politicians in some (many ?) countries are corrupt and some of them don't know how to govern properly and fairly for all different groups, but without any government it might be impossible. Tyranny or Anarchy might ber therotetically the best way (no one interferes, all decisions are final), but since humans tend to mistakes or cannot judge perfectly, there is no way to that thay practically (edited by Surlent on 12-11-04 08:37 AM) (edited by Surlent on 12-11-04 08:37 AM) |

Yes, I meant dictatorship basically. Just considered the fact, people would rule for all people in the "right" way (equality, no priority to groups/people etc.), the same might go for anarchy; but as stated, since we tend to misuse powers, practically this might be impossible to be the best type of gonvernment |
