I know it's impolite to laugh at other people, but still, that macaroni thing gave me quite a laugh Coincidentally enough, I had Easy Mac for lunch today as well

I've never microwaved foil, but I have absentmindedly left utensils in there, like while making hot chocolate, and neglecting to take the spoon out of the cup after mixing it up, and before putting it in the microwave Most of the times I've done that, I glanced over and saw the thing in the microwave, and took it out

Here's a question for any / all of you: what's the worst mistake you've made while cooking or otherwise making food? It could be something you noticed before you started to eat whatever it was, or maybe you clued in while you were in the process of making it.

The worst for me would be the following:

:: Back when I was probably 6 or 7, my Dad was making cinnamon toast, and I was helping him. He told me to get the cinnamon out of the cupboard, but I didn't know how it was spelt, so I asked him what it started with. He told me 'C', so I grabbed the first thing that I saw that started with 'C'. Unfortuantely, that thing was the Chili Powder

:: This is something that most people have probably done sometime in their lives, and it has to do with grilled cheese. I set it on the frying pan to cook, and went out to go back to whatever I was doing before (I can't remember what though). I finally realized I'd left it cooking when I smelt something burning Went out to take a look, and the whole underside of the piece of bread was black.

I do have some more, but I'll wait to see if anyone else has anything of their own like that to share before I post more

I couldn't help noticing that I appear in the list twice One right at the bottom, and one just above Xeogred right now As for my idea of what the acronym stands for:

Very Famous Peoples' Association

Better than the other ideas I had for this one though (such as 'Violet Fences Pending Administration' )

I can't see anything in the spoiler section now, except for the smiley I'm using Firefox, so I think you've fixed things there I don't think there's any way to hide the smiley, unless it's possible to set the layer ordering for different things

What 'Edited by Xeogred' thing? I haven't seen the 'edit indicators' (so to call them) in a while now, so I assumed that functionality had been removed. Can you see them or something?

That's actually a really good idea. There's only one other thing I would like to see added, and that's would tell you what the last thread posted in was. Although, if that was to be put in, the 'Last Post' section would take up 4 lines instead of 3, which we don't want

I think it's a good idea, so hopefully this can be put to use

I never thought Iggy Koopa could be so hard to beat I still haven't finished that level, but I thought I'd give my comments in here anyways.

While you're Racoon Mario, if you duck, you all of a sudden lose your ears This is pretty much the same thing Smallhacker said in his other post, except the was another condition I noticed it happened in

The Hammer Brothers are a really nice addition I wonder if it would be possible to make the Fire Brothers or possibly even the Boomerang ones That would be neat to see. Racoon Mario is also cool It looks and feels awfully weird to be using a powerup like that in an SMW game It feels almost exactly like how it worked in SMB3 to me.

I've found no big problems in any of the levels I've played through yet, and that's always good. I didn't notice much ExGFX, but the graphics in the game right now, to me, are really good. Overall, this demo is very good. Nice work on it

It also looks like BMF might have some competition now

You can get Lunar Magic from here. Lunar IPS can be found here, and Lunar Address and Lunar Expand can be obtained from this site.

I remember you needed the files a while ago, and I emailed them to you. Did you delete those from your inbox or something, because if not, you could just get them from there

If I click 'OK', Firefox locks up, and although clicking 'Cancel' works, I'd like to have the stuff updated

It sounds interesting. Now if only I could see what it looks like

Edit: So I watched the movie, and it's quite good. Especially considering that they did it all in lego I've never even seen the movie when it was in the theater near us, but I could still tell what was going on, which shows that they definitely did a good job of getting the main points of the movie in there.

I haven't messed with lego since I was a kid, but I honestly don't think I'd ever even want to try to do that Thinking about all the time involved, and the amount of retries for certain sections makes it seem almost overwhelming. Still though, that's pretty cool there

Today, My Friend Retched

No, they didn't, but that works there. Before anyone argues about the validity of having the word 'Retched' in there, I'll have you know it's listed at dictionary.com, so it must be an actual word.

I think it would be a good idea to have some of these that don't have 'T' or 'A' in them either, for the same sake Zem posted about That is, unless you two don't mind the greater portion of the recent acronyms oriented around you

My Brother's played this game a lot, and has gotten Metal Sonic, so I asked him your question. He said it's not really worth it, as that's all you get for collecting the 130 Embems, but it would depend on how much you want to play as it. There are some screenshots I found with a google image search, but the site they're hosted on doesn't have them anymore or something, so just look at the top row of pictures from this link

Funny how they only show Zelda being played in that commercial, when at the end of it, the only game you can see is Mario I know there's no reason to be, but I feel pretty embarrased watching that as well

I never even knew there was such as thing as a 'Nintendo Newsletter', that has pictures with 'Nice Graphics' The only thing I ever knew of was Nintendo Power The black buttons on the NES are pretty weird as well.

Pretty odd, that, but I can only imagine what other sorts of things like that are out there, that may be worse

That makes sense, as those are the two characters I use most often, although Marth with the white costume most often Actually, most, if not all of the time I simply choose a character that has a sword

I had to ask my brother what he and my friend thought of that, since it's been a while since we played the game (I don't actually own it), and he said something about them always calling me 'Cheapie with the sword'

So, that is pretty accurate

I don't think I've ever played that game, let alone seen it It doesn't look particularly interesting, going by the two screenshots, but, you never know

As for productive things done with my day, not much here I finally got out to my band practice this morning, which took up most of the time from when I woke up 'till now. Other than that, nothing important whatsoever It's a Saturday though, so that should be expected

I don't see what's so freakish about it either, unless it's because it looks different after having the same one for a long period of time.

I don't know about a multiplayer option for that game, but it would be neat to see Unfortuantely, I don't know how you'd do that

On the topic of a forum search function, there isn't one for this board. From what I remember, it used up too much of the resources or something You can, however, use this search, but I haven't tried it out yet, so I'm not sure whether it works well or not.

Now this is looking very good The overworld, even though it's not finished looks pretty nice, although there's two small things that bother me. First is with the trees. Right now, it looks too plain, the way they're lined up straight, so if you're able to, it might look better to try spacing them out, or otherwise not having them in a straight line

The second thing, and you might have already noticed this, is the platform that the first set of three trees is on (coming from the left). The bottom right grass part on it doesn't look right, and to fix it, you'd want to use the slanted edge tiles, so it would match up with the slanted part that connects with the water. Hopefully that isn't too confusing

All the level screenshots look nice, and I was going to say something about the clear glass blocks in the third one, but then I realized you might have them there so you can see the trees through them I like the edited sprites as well. Nice work on those

I won't say anything about the screenshot of the 'Blisker', as I see you've already noted that it looks ugly, and you're going to fix it

The one on IPS patching is original, and I like it, even if it was just made for the sake of this thread

Overall, this is looking very good, in my opinion I hope to see more soon

Despite the thread bumping, and the expected reply, it wouldn't hurt to answer that question

You can find a page with all of Anikiti's hacks here. Just click the 'Download' link under the game you want to get, and if there isn't a download link there, chances are a demo / full version of the game hasn't been released yet. To open the .lzh files, use PicoZip, if you don't already have a program installed for that file type.

Yes indeed I never heard of / noticed that 'till you mentioned it, and it's pretty odd I'm rather surprised that there wasn't anything new in the 'About' box though I think that'd be the first place you'd think of to have an easter egg like that

This next bit is something I saw on the ZSNES forums, while trying to find a link from which to download ZSNES Xtreme (I've given up on that though ) Have any of you changed the color scheme in it at all? I never bothered to, until I got tired of seeing the same blue time after time, so I switched it to be darker, and added the burning effect If you have changed it, why not post what changes you made in here? For example, mine would be this:

Back : 0, 0, 10
Title : 0, 0, 10
Win : 0, 5, 10
+ Burning Effect

You can also see a screenshot of it here, if you want to know what it looks like beforehand

I'm not necessarily saying you have to post what color scheme you're currently using, but it's the best thing I could think up at 1:30 in the morning that has the possibility of giving this thread something else to talk about

It's new to me, and I have to say I like the idea behind it. I'd like the whole thing, if I could just think of something to have the comic oriented around Nevertheless, it's still neat
