I'm sorry about my AYBABTU english... I try to be as correct as possible. Hovewer, flaming does not help (what's the point after all?) - so lock or move to trash this topic... (edited by Fx3 on 06-28-05 06:09 PM) (edited by Fx3 on 06-28-05 06:21 PM) |

Most of my NES games. Actually, there's a lot of information available - an easy search gives me screenshots and reviews. It's hard to buy an unknown game...

That's a problem... :| But nothing impossible to trick. I change the enemies attributes to something I'd like to place in a room. For example, the Samus' ship room (Crateria) has a few "arrows" and a "S" (speed boost related) - I simply move these objects to a certain location & change their IDs / attributes. Hmm... about changing the pointers... If I add 1 enemy, how many bytes does it require? |

It's the 3rd or 4th thread you open asking "New at *thing here*". There's no "magic wand". (edited by Fx3 on 07-04-05 08:20 AM) |

I dunno. This looks like a hacking. Capcom wouldn't do such thing. :

No, I don't. Anyway, you can use FCEU debugger to trap writes to $2007 ($3Fxx ppu address) right on level loading. This way, the proper pointer might be trapped. Does it make any sense? (edited by Fx3 on 07-10-05 03:21 PM) |

Facts: 1. There's an adaptor (Hong Kong) to play NES games on SuperNES. I already saw pictures of it, but never heard any "user" of this... device. 2. A few NES games are "floating" as SuperNES ROMs, like Donkey Kong and a few mapper #0 titles. I have no clue how they procceed for creating such hack. o.0;; 3. Like Disch said, a SuperNES console uses a different architecture. Even if the 65816 is an "extended" 6502 (in terms of instructions), you cannot run a NES game in a SuperNES console. 4. Do 1 + 2 + 3 and take your conclusions... ;; |

It's the same problem on MegaMan 1. I don't remember how to fix it right now, but there's an easy way without ASM hacking. ;;

Since every stage would have AIR and SOLID as TSA types, they hardcoded it in Megaman2. Heh, I _really_ must resume visine works.

These screenshots don't help me. If you REALLY need some assitance, send me a copy of your "project" and I might fix it to you, writting in a LOG every minor change I would did. I sent a private msg within an e-mail address.

Ah, I might include screenshot support on next release, hehehehe EDIT - Hmm, it seems "out of my range". There's an unknown issue about the number of enemies placed in a level... something related with the last one X Wily sublevel. Hey, bbitmaster, can you give me a hand? o.0;; It requires a bit of ASM researching... (edited by Fx3 on 07-20-05 01:44 AM) |

It must be a pointer to enemy data. When you change the number of enemies, it might mess up the gameplay. I already had a problem of enemies not displaying right in the first screen of Dr.Wily's stage 1.

That's strange... Actually, visine uses 3CC47h (2 bytes per level) for TSA settings. He gave the Quickman's TSA attribute manually for you to change! <> Something's wrong - you made confusion I suppose?

Typical hacking requests with NO KNOWLEDGE on native CPU language, neither hexadecimal system. It's the second guy that asks such thing. What are we supposed to do? ;; (edited by Fx3 on 07-26-05 06:49 AM) |
