| @Karadur: Minor promotion is when you are winning the game, have a position in where promoting your pawn to queen stalesmates the opponent, and so you better promote to something else (Like Rook), they have problems understanding that, I have to give a LOT of examples till they understand... Still in excercises they pick rook instead of Knight and other annoying errors. I still prefer being the teacher... And I like the school's girls the most, "they come in a big variety of cute variations"... But I've never have found 1 I like to be my girlfriend or even a friend for that matter... They still smile to me and talk about their problems... Aside from the girls, I HATED school, being teacher cannot be considered like school... Edit: Got rid of quotes. He's the drill: I will write a random glibberish, you make up a sentence changing the words I said. Everybody gets from 1 to 100 points depending of your creativity (Or 200 of you're kind enough to post something else than just the translation). Once you get 250 points, you become the owner of the game and create your own "Undecyphrable" sentences for others to make up a translation, then 500 points are needed, 750 and so on I will put a new Phrase every once in a day and give points, try to not edit your posts (But it's allowed) and may you own this game! Only one try per Sentence, but you can comment on stuff to get more points, the person that posted the most creative translation "Wins", and it's done for fun, so don't try to break your head" Example: Wallabana banana dimbe dimbe lolz One possible translation: I just slipped to the wastebasket because of your banana's rind! Real Phrase for Decipher #1: Waooh ima didee! Doodem... Nacred witsa dun. |

| Hello, I'm working in my second hack ever, the first one was about an overhaul (The Zelda 3 Reloaded), I only changed the hole to get to 7D, the Zelda/Uncle locations, some enemies and chest's locations/contents, but Omega laughed at me so I stopped working on it. Then Omega ran a contest on TEKHacks so I had to start from a fresh ROM of Zelda 3, and since January 16th, I've been working on this: Hack: Still to name it Author(s): Uly Information: Minor hacking. (Would change to full hack eventually). Screenshots: Hopefully None. Version: Alpha 2.6 Threads: None yet. URL: None yet. Plot Alpha 0.7: Uly the hacker has done a big mess with the game, so beating it is going to be pain on the brains, this time all entrances and exits are changed so even finding your uncle is hard. It may seem random, but it was coldhearth calculated. Tons of things are going to change, and the hack is still in a very baby stage, I want to release the Beta once I have it (May have all the main items' way to get changed) so people can check it out before the release date (January 29th). The release will still be demo, and if at least one person likes it, I will keep on working on it. The main problem is that the point of the Hack is to make the game a full Puzzle in where you have to wonder what to do next instead of having fun beating dungeons. It's very easy (Try finding the red boomerang now!!), but Screenshots just give away too many clues of what to do, and a single comment about the hack (Like: It's cool you put the [censored] in the [censored] and the only way to get there is [censored]) may ruin the idea. So I want only selected people to be able to play it and everything happening under Private Messages or something non public. Thanks for reading I hope someone reads this since this thread hasn't been updated in almost a month...Note: I did the hack by figuring stuff, without looking at other hacks (I only saw screenshots), and by ear help, now that I'm going to read the ORO_HM_FAQ_12.PDF, I'm hoping to make a big jump on the hack... Or something. |

| Yes, there are indeed a lot of opening, but you only need to know like 20 of them, and you'll be fine. This is based on the fact that if you never do e4, then you can forget about all the openings from it, and only learn what to do if someone makes e4 against you. If you reply with e6, then you don't need to worry about everything e4 e5/e4 d4 related and forget these too. That is called pruning, you just have to know what to do against e4 e6 d4 and you have saved yourself from insanity. |

| @Rydain: Very nice pages you got there, they have very interesting info I need some sleep too (9 AM here and I haven't sleep all night), I just have to say some facts: 1. d4!! d5 2. Bf4!! Is the best opening against computers, period. (Don't trust out of book with h4 or such! That's outdated!) As for defense: 1. e4 e6!! 2. d4 d5!! 3. Nf3/Nd2 c5!! Computers have problems understanding that, and think that have advantage. But that should be tommorrow's theme: Computer Chess. Right now, I'm just giving you this link: Chess is fun!
