maybe you should see if there is a copy of Programming Windows, Fifth Edition by Charles Petzold...this guy is like the godfather of programming windows apps using C with the WinAPI as your guide.

that the heck are you talking about? the last time rolling blackouts were a very plausible occurence was back in 2001, when I was a junior in HS. I remember the power went out due to rolling blackouts during finals and I recall my class conducted in emergency lights because of it.

as for regular happenings of blackouts, I haven't heard anything about it...otherwise, i would hear it for sure on the news...either that or you just live in a crappy area

you could...use windows to get the true usernme and password juno's software uses to authenticate yourself. however, as of february, they catch you after 10 hours. I enjoyed about 18+ months of free internet because of the dial-up exploit I had. I can't figure out how they get some information to block me after 10 hours

a big waste of money...I took only two in high school: US History AP (3) and Statistics AP (4) and I haven't used either when I came to college. However, I did take English Honors but didn't take the test. My school also offered AP Physics but I didn't take it either.

However, I did enter college with 77 transferrable college units I took from a community college...that was worth the money as all my 77 units were free and a whole lot less stressful than the AP classes amazingly.

so yeah, my stance on AP: take the classes but don't take the test OR don't take the classes and take the equivalent at Community College instead

no...the exploit still works to a certain extent...as long as you are content of using the internet no more than 10 hours/month, then you have free internet from now until juno forces you to use their software

since you created it...if you say so...

anyways, I use the zip support in WinXP...i'm too lazy to install any of the other software unless I download stuff in a non ZIP file...which rarely happens

once you stop school...it is hard to go back again

anyways, I go to UC Berkeley and I'm an Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Major. I chose UC Berkeley because my alternative was San jose State University (ever heard of it?). I had also applied to CalPoly and UCLA but they rejected me . One would think if you can get into one of the top public schools in the nation, you should be able to get into schools that rank below it.

if you want a good IDE for java, use Eclispe...it is an open source IBM product.

as for compiler, I believe Jikes is good one because its fast. It has more inituitive error messages unlike Java. However, it suffers from syntax error issues. I remember I forgot one close brace of an if statement and it generated 100+ error messages. I ran the same code through the javac and it found the close brace error and nothing more.

this question makes me wonder...at what point did it become such a bad thing? you know...i recall as late as 1800s, it was a common thing or in high class families for cousins to love and marry their cousins. so...i dunno?

anyways...the most annoy keyboard layout i've seen is a keyboard prototype sun provided for their solaris terminals. it swapped the caps lock with the left control..it was because of that stupid thing that I was forced to use shift

it's impossible to do unless you run a thread that has been created by the OS kernel. in addition, being a third party program to alter memory is extremely difficult to do since the memory address you are working with aren't the real addresses of where the memory really lies.

exactly, I dont see why anyone would buy an emulator, I would rather play the actual console other then paying that much for an emulator...

think of game developing companies...they are the only ones who legitamately could use such a thing because it is cheaper and easier to test with an emulator than on the real thing. however, the consumer, paying for an emulator maybe be useful as it can be cheaper than the real thing...case in point: bleem

something not very exciting but check out a few of these pictures that were all generated by a rendering engine written by me and two others.

Two Spheres

Prism

Modified Cornell Box

Classic

if you change the "PM" in the files to "RT", you will see how bad they were using a weaker graphics engine

maybe i should have described what you guys are seeing:

two spheres - two spheres in a square shoebox; the left sphere is a perfect mirror sphere and the right sphere is a perfect glass sphere

prism - a perfect prism

modified cornell box - two objects in a scene that blocks your view to the light (i.e. you can't see the light directly)

classic - just a perfect glass sphere in an open area
