The typing programs we had at high school were fairly simple - introduce a few new keys each lesson. No specific "way" to type, just get a high score. |
Of course, said programs were CGA.

Those are ZTNet's problems, we don't worry about those anymore. |
It's never boring here for long stretches of time. There you go in a nutshell.

Chris: If the person was on the old board, odds are they already read that... |
I'm trying to think of who you are but can't put a finger on it... Welcome back.

I'd like to see proof on the SCII connection - I think the Gamecube version sold the most copies, but I don't know how much impact it had on the console race. |
I don't know about the PSP... Nintendo got a really good head start in North America, and there's the battery issue which is a concern of everyone. It's not too bad if you're playing a puzzle game, but the more power the game uses, the faster the pack drains. Either Sony has to find a way to pack more juice into the pack or find ways to ease the burden of games on the PSP. The fact that battery issues are up to the developers isn't a great sign. Underpaid and it all has to do with public perception. Your average joe thinks that teachers have it easy because they only work 10 months in the year, are only in school for around 6 hours a day and have breaks as well during the day. |
In reality, teachers usually do a lot of work during the day and at home, have more things to do at school than just teach and on some occasions put in more than 40 hours of work a week. And teaching is a skill, it's not just something anyone can do.

Miller's a good deal for that kind of money, I'd say. Sure, you have the incentives, but he's worth it if he hits them. |
I wonder which poor, desperate GM (or GM's) will be lured into the Yanks/D'backs trade...

NSNick: Oh, perish the thought about me being sarcastic. I've only seen it happen in the movies, that's why I asked. *rolls eyes* |
The problem with a porno plot is that if you add it, you've just turned it into a farce.

Kitten Yiffer: AoE/AoM are two different series technically, according to the Gamespot explanation of the teaser. |
Emptyeye: That sucks. :\ But hey, a record's a record - so go for it. Even if you hate the method.

Plum pudding. You know... Christmas... probably more common in European culture or maybe Britain... |
I guess I could have said "figgy pudding".

You can celebrate Christmas either as a secular holiday or as a fun holiday. Depends on your background/beliefs. |
I really don't notice the religion aspect except at mass... oh, and when they decide to show every Jesus/God movie (with the exception of The Ten Commandments) on Christmas Day either in the early afternoon or late at night. (restricted) |

They use "For Dummies" in Sweden? |
Here the French versions are called something like "Windows XP pour Les Nuls". Yes, for the dimwitted. (restricted) |

That kind of crap doesn't happen at the high schools over here. |
Threaten a teacher and you're on your way out. Worst problems I saw at my old high school were the usual things - bullying, arguments, etc.

*rolls eyes* Some people will never change. |
Sony will end up taking a piece of the market share but Nintendo will still end up with the bigger piece, at least at the end of '05.
