Actually, I have never bought a GB, GBC, GBA or SP. But I may buy a DS for ability to wireless alone.... Keep in mind guys, that the DS is not only wireless from DS to DS but it's also wireless capable for the internet. Now you can play those multiplayer games with everyone around the GLOBE. Another thing I invision seeing very soon is DS Telephones. They are wireless over the net, they have a mic, and speakers.....It won't be long before this hits companies.... |

Yes,The Screens are of a REAL BETA but the cartdrige of it wasnt a beta cartdrige because betas don't come without box and manualsand only with a weird cartdrige. And well,That one selling on e-bay was just an Expansion Pack for Red and Blue,Nothing more to do.But that one that they were selling on e-bay was probably a red version in the cartdrige of Gold, but wit hthe diff sticker,It's just fake,it was just for the guy get some money. And it was a Collectors Edition,But it might not exist,Nobody knows. You have to scream? Now, here's some basics of ROM Hacking: 1. Every time you make a change, make a seperate backup of the ROM (such as making a copy of it in a different location, such as a folder or even a disk). You never know when you'll screw up the ROM and cause an obvious glitch. I learned the importance of this when I used Pokepic. I imported a sprite with Steelix' colors into 255 without changing the palette pointer. Mess. I saved anyway, although it said there wasn't enough space. It saved over important data...let's just say you'd never get your starter Pokemon...luckily, I had backups, and restored the hack and deleted the bad files. 2. Use good programs. My recommendations are EliteMap (recent version), RSBall, Pokepic, Tile Layer Pro, Pokemap (Red/Blue), AdvanceMap (has some features that even EM doesn't, such as AddEvents), lunar compress.dll (required for a lot of EM programs), Dexter (comes with EM, so does RSBall, TLP, Pokepic), Editor (text hacking program), Spread (comes with EM, use it to find the TLP offsets for sprites, this is explained by me in the Hero Trainer Image Extraction thread), BaseEdit (edits PKMN Base Stats, comes with EM), Bewildered (edits Wild Pokemon data, comes with EM), Wild Pokemon Editor (foreign language, but edit the INI and it actually shows the area NAMES), LunarIPS (use to create IPS patches for your ROM Hacks), G/S Sprite Editor, TileMolester (in combo with Pokepic's decompression/recompression abilities, it can be used to edit compressed graphics, but is good for nothing else that I know of), DSRS, to edit R/S Starters, AdvanceMart (to edit Pokemart data), and other good ones. 3. Know what you're doing. Decide on what ya wanna do at the current moment. Then search for info if you need it. 4. Look at tutorials if you still don't understand. 5. Realise that some changes require ASM. Know what does and doesn't. ROm Hacking programs only successfully edit raw data. You'll need to learn the type of ASM (Assembly) code that corresponds with the console game you're hacking (e.x. 6502 for NES). Then, Disassemble the ROM and hack away! 6. Nake sure nobody else has made a hack similar to it. E.x. Make sure nobody has made PKMN Kanto before you make yours. Otherwise, your hacking efforts would be a waste and nobody would care. And I'm making Pokemon Kanto!! Please don't copy. 7. Don't edit someone's ROM Hack to make your Hack without permission. That's just wrong... 8. Realise that if you make a ROM using flash utilities and YOUR game cartridges you've voided the warranties for the games you hooked up to the flash thingy. If you get a ROM someone else made, you aren't voiding any of your warranties. 9. If people say you can ask them for help, ASK THEM!!! 10. If you need any help, you can ask several people for help, myself included. 11. I'm done rambling on and on now. Has that helped? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Funny, given our topic of discussion, that my girlfriiend goes out and gets me a cell phone for my birthday (Which isn't until August 10th, but I'll be in the hospital then). I maintain that i don't need one, but it'll be nice to have whilst in the hospital I guess.

Originally posted by Reid The little pen-like object used with the Nintendo DS is called a "Stylus"... a Stylist is like a hairdresser or a beautician, a person whose business is on styles in dress, or beauty. Originally posted by Reid There's no such thing, and there probably never will be. Nintendo mentioned something about the GameBoy's age being over. The "GameBoy" name will probably not be used again by Nintendo. Whatever the next handheld system is, it will probably also have two screens and a stylus, just as the Nintendo DS. What exactly are you waiting for? What does this next system you're waiting for have that the Nintendo DS doesn't? Unfortunately, some people are looking at the Wi-Fi, and the two screens, and the stylus, etc. and are getting scared off. This is just a normal game system. This IS truly the next GameBoy. However, for maximum creative possibilites, they have made new was to play which may or may not be taken advantage of. Not every game will have to use both screens. Not every game will have to use the stylus. It's just there for enhancement. Anyone thinking, "There are no games I like on the DS" ... how could you say that? The Nintendo DS hasn't even has the chance to play it's hand yet-- the system isn't even released until November! Also, I thought about that phone thing too... I don't know if it will be used that way-- but it might be used similar to XBox Live or SOCOM's head-sets. Talk to your team during the game, or to the people "around you" (virtually, not physically). Due to the Stylus and extra viewing space, the possibility for all kinds of Nintendo DS applications is present. This means the system could not only have games, but it could have a paint program, a music composing program, a DS Camera... And then new hardware for the DS too! Something to hook up to your PC and upload paintings/music/pics, a DS printer-- the possibilities are so endless! Nintendo DS is the future of gaming on the go! Not only does the Nintendo DS allow you to play multiplayer with people wirelessly (Wi-fi) in a certain radius around you, eventually you will also be able to play with people in different time zones! Imagine playing Zelda: Four Swords with other Acmlm Board members! Invite your favorite online buddy to some Metroid Prime: Hunters! Pass virtual notes in class with your friends using the new Picto-Chat! The Nintendo DS really IS the future of gaming on the go, and I for one am sold. It's exactly what PopStar said it was, that part of technology that allows for wireless communication between electronic objects. I dunno what it STANDS for, but that's pretty much what it is, I believe...

Yup, that's basically it. Another use of wi-fi is to access the Internet in a location like a coffee shop without having to use a modem jack. |

Originally posted by DahrkDaizOriginally posted by Grey Chaos makes me scared, like I said, I have trouble with oddball beats, still getting the hang of them. I love triples and freezes, though. I remember when I used to hate them, now they're much easier for me to pull off. But whenever I do Cartoon Heroes on Light or Standard, I try to go along with the beat of the song and not the beat of the arrows, so when they're going into the end of the refrain, the beat of the song is a pair of quarter note triplets, but the beat of the arrows is straight quarters, so I always end up getting thrown off by the beat. Usually takes me about half a gauge to get back on track. ![]() I saw someone do It's Raining Men on heavy today, it was pretty crazy... I'm nowhere near that level yet. And CGX, it really really is much easier if you don't keep your feet in the center of the pad, you know how I always start with my legs spread at about shoulder length? Well, I used to have a problem where I'd instinctively try to come back to a standing position, but it really is much easier to just keep the foot where it is and move it to the next arrow. |
