| well, if the server is on linux, it might be an error because its case sensitive, make sure its global.inc.php and not something like Global.inc.php or global.Inc.php | |||

| cant show a pic...but its like this ps2, xbox, gcube are lined up beside eachother beside my tv, and I have all 3 hooked up at once, controllers are usually unpluged and put away unless the console is being played, the 2 ps1's(one of em broken, and taken apart other works fine) are in my closet, along with the snes, nes, n64, gba...and all controllers and stuff for them are in there too.... maybe ill play my snes today...Zelda is always fun. |

| im gonna format this comp tonight, and im wondering if I can find what cd key I use...since I dont have it written down(this is a used computer, already came with windows installed, and we never got a cd or cd key with it) i need to know, cause my brother is borrowing a winXP cd from his friend, but I need to get the cd key to install it... just incase, is it that number that is there when you right click "My Computer" and go to properties and it says is Registered to: etc etc 55285-010-99xxxxx-xxxxx (lol replaced numbers with x's just incase  )^ is that the cd key? if not, how do I get my current cd key, ... its probably in the registry.... | how about using HAM?, along with Visual HAM, and its very easy, the only thing is there is a created with ham splash screen when you make any rom, but that doesnt really matter, and HAM is really easy to use...at least I think its easy to use, an really easy to draw lines, print text, etc, except im having trouble with bitmaps... http://www.ngine.de/site/index.php its a german url, but its english, so is HAM. | a warning...kinda...when you get the newest version of HAM, goto http://console-dev.de/visualham/ and download the newest version of visual ham, along with the update (they are both at the bottom of the page) that makes compiling the project alot faster, and adds more features. something that took 5 minutes to do lol... well, I just figure out how to load bitmaps to the Background without it messing up... and the code is in C and you can use C++ and the src for that image i just showed is 20 lines and looks like: #include #include "gfx/test.raw.c" #include "gfx/test.pal.c" int main() { ham_Init(); ham_SetBgMode(4); ham_LoadBGPal((void*)test_Palette,256); ham_LoadBitmap((void*)test_Bitmap); ham_FlipBGBuffer(); while(1) {} return 0; } edit: I made a little test game, it shows the ham slashscreen(mandatory), my splash screen(had to code myself, using the picture from that BG) and 2 sprites on screen(a blue ball with red dots, and there is no alpha blending, so it has a white box around it(dont know how to use alpha blending yet)) http://www.freewebs.com/gbadev/test3.zip (to lazy to get better hosting...lol) (edited by Dcahrakos on 10-20-04 02:39 PM) |

| actually, im still trying to figure that out, I was trying to draw a line on top of text, and below text, but I couldnt, but also, the draw text function is mostly for debugging purpose, im not sure what a good way to make text with bitmaps is...I know ham comes with a charset generator...which makes bitmaps out of size and fonts....ill edit this post when I figure some things out. | havent really figured anything new out, but I have been a little busy, ill probably mess around with it and read up on the gba screen format, and probably look at a couple deom games sources availiable for ham, then I should have a better idea on how text stuff works, and the cool thing about ham, is if you want, and know how, you can use asm in with the C to make it faster...and with ham, I believe Mode 7 isnt too hard to get working for some cool effects. | |||

| woah, those are some weird problems...the only thing ive seen is similar is the ram problem, but i had multiple ram chips, and sometimes the comp had 128mb, and other times it had 256. we never did fix the problem but now that was awhile ago, and I have a diff comp now, I dont see why windows thinks you have a 2gb hard drive, unless something is wrong, or you have it partitioned somewhere, and cant access it for some reason. the sound card, there is an option to enable it I think....try looking for an option to enable it.... | |||
