How would the police, or whoever's enforcing the law even know the people were nude inside their homes? They say that they're confident passers-by will report to the police if they see people offending this law. Pah. Yeah right I'm pretty sure 99% of the people there are fed up about this thing, and wouldn't abide by it unless their lives depended on it. There's also the thing there about peeping toms recieving jail time. So, if you report a person that's nude in their home, are you going to get jail time for that? Nice way of saying "Thanks for the tip". What happens if you have a little kid, and need to give them a bath? What if you're married and want to have sex? I can imagine people in that town talking about the last one would be something like: "We're married, but we have to leave this town if we want to have sex at night" I suppose the "Keep one sock on" thing would still work though In the end, I'm glad I live where I do |

Well, you could look up this info in the Christmas thread made by Kitten Yiffer somewhere underneath this one, but I'll post what I got in here for the heck of it From under the tree : :: Metroid Prime 2: Echoes :: $10 Blockbuster gift card :: A box of spiral KD From my stocking / 7-Eleven bag : :: Coconut Fingers (Chunks of coconut covered in chocolate. Yum ) :: Slowpokes (Imitations of the Turtles candies you can get) :: Highly frustrating puzzle that involves getting metal balls into certain places :: Aero bar and 3 mini-turtles :: A puzzle thing with different-sized squares, where you have to take them all out, and put them back in again :: Chocolate letter B :: Two small bags of chips Last Night at my Aunt's (Forgot about this one the first time) : :: Memory Card 1019 :: Big jar of cashews :: Lifesaver book (the traditional gift from them) That's it I did get quite a bit more stuff in my stocking, but that's usually the case. It looks like you got some pretty nice stuff too, Dcahrakos (edited by Karadur on 12-25-04 07:59 PM) (edited by Karadur on 12-25-04 08:13 PM) |

I'm vying for him being stupid. I don't know a lot about the way PHP works and such, but what kind of thread id is that? I tried typing it in, but it lead me to an error page Odd thing is, that site appeared to be just another one of the ones you get when you make a typo in a URL The fact that the title of the page is "Coming Soon!" is even more convincing. The fact that there's two instances of the word 'spy' in that URL are worrying though. |

You'll need either a router or a hub, from what I know. Unfortunately, we tried to set the two comptuers in this house to share our internet connection using a router, and I wasn't very successful , so I won't be able to help you there

Might you, by any chance, have more than one screen? The one you've got there looks alright, but it's kind of hard to tell what you're hack's going to be like with just that The main things that I notice in that one there, are the large brown area at the bottom of the second 'hill', and the fact that the hill sides just cut off. The background looks good, as do the trees (although they are a bit tall and thin Maybe have the tree made up of 2 tiles, or even 4 (2x2)). Looking nice so far though |

What plugin search does it freeze up in? The one through the Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Check Now button, or searching for plugins through the Firefox site? If it's the latter, the quickest thing I can think of to remedy the problem would be to download the plugins with a different browser (should be a .xpi file), save it to your hard drive, and open it with Firefox. In my experiences, that'll install it fine, then you just have to restart the browser after. On the other hand, if it freezes while doing it's own built in plugin search, I'd advise you to uninstall the copy of Firefox you have right now, download a fresh install, and go from there. I'm aware that would most likely make you lose all the settings you'd made (unless there was an option not to uninstall them), so do that at your own risk. Aside from that, I wouldn't know exactly why it's doing that. It's never happened to me |

The description of this area of the board: "The place to post crazy stuff (no big spam though)." I'd think big spam would be something like typing random letters out and posting it, but still your post would most likely be considered to be spam. Saw that while looking for emulator updates last night. Nice of them to release it on Christmas Either way, having updated emulators is always nice That post should be helpful to the people who don't check that site too regularly Now I've just got to wait for the VBA update |

Even though I currently don't have a DS, I'm looking forward to seeing what the Megaman Battle Network game will be like If they're coming out with a Zelda game for it (which I hope they are) that would probably be neat to see too. (edited by Karadur on 12-26-04 11:25 PM) |

Not sure if you want us to post what we chose, but I might as well 1) 1280x1024 2) 60hz 3) 32 bit 4) Bottom 5) Always shown. I find it annoying to have autohide enabled 6) No pudding within my current reach |

You seem like a good member to me I can't say I'm a fan of those bands, besides hearing one song by System of a Down At any rate, welcome to the board, and hopefully you like it here

I'm pretty sure it turns into a skeleton. I can't remember the name, though (that seems to happen quite often) so if that's the right answer, hopefully it isn't an issue

I chose the first option. Unless something's really messed up to the point where the computer barely works, I wouldn't format. I've got too much stuff that would need to be backed up, etc, and I don't have enough CDs or whatever to do that The last time I tried to format a computer, it wouldn't work Got to 12% complete, then crashed (that was on our old computer) |

There's Gibdos in Ocarina of Time The only things I know of close to them are Redeads, but as for my answer, I'm pretty sure they just burn up.

Would you three please stop? If you want to argue with each other, do it through PM's or something. There's no reason this thread should be used as your personal battleground. As far as the picture Fyxe's got displayed, if you don't like it, block her layout. If you think it's wrong or something, that's fine. You're welcome to think that way, but don't force it down everyone else's throats. |

I don't think I've ever used CRT monitors, but a couple sites I read said something about the noise being coils inside vibrating, whatever and wherever those may be I was able to dig up another site, here, that may give you a better answer to your question I'm aware that the link in my post may not be very visible on the background, so if anyone knows how I could change it (I already tried using font color tags), a PM with instructions on how to do so would be appreciated, and hopefully you can see the link to click it for the time being |

It's too bad to hear you won't be working on Luigi's Coin Quest anymore. That was a good idea, but if it takes up too much of your time, there's not alot you can do about it All those screenshots look really nice, with the exception of the palette in the 5th one, like Chris posted. The ice pyramids in the shot of World 6 look interesting. Are there any levels in that land where you'll end up going inside one of them? Are the shells 'tossable' like they are in SMW? Even if they aren't, that could definitely add a new challenge to the game Quite interesting looking screenshots there. Let's hope it's not long 'till you release a patch |

I consider my volunteering a job. It doesn't pay, but it's still the same thing pretty much I work at the Heart and Stroke office Tuesday to Thursday, from 1 to 5 each day. Most of the time I do computer work, such as updating a database with names of people that have just come in. Some afternoons, I answer the phones as well, while others, there's another volunteer there that does that The last major thing I did was to use Prism (their database management system) to update the data on one of their events (it was last summer, so I can't remember. I'm pretty sure it was either the Mother Daughter Walk, or Big Bike for Stroke). I enjoy it there, although sometimes the workload might get a bit heavy, such as the thing I talked about above with Prism; I didn't finish the job 'till 1 or 2 days before the end of August. It had to be done by the first of September So, in all, it's good there, and even though I don't get paid anything for it, I like working at that place |
