| Everyone's attention was diverted from the talking bag to the talking owl, except Teddylot's, that is, who started poking the bag seeing if it would puke out anything like a shirt or dirty old sock. Twister: Don't poke the bag, Teddylot. Teddylot: ........... ... *poke* Zap examined the owl a bit more closely Zap: Umm, Kirby? Is your owl ... magic? Teddylot: *pulls out a magnifying glass and looks deduce-ful* Maybe it's a robot ... or an alien owl ... or an owl with lips. Meanwhile, Twister looked out the window to see that the train had reached full speed a while back and was now zooming along the countryside. Twister: *sigh* Peaceful. | Before Kirby was able to answer the question, the group conversation was soon interrupted by a kind old, plump witch pushing a cart. Plump witch: Would you like anything from the trolley, dears? Teddylot: Trolley? What's a trolley? Twister: *still gazing out the window* It's a means of transporation in San Fransisco. Zap: Umm ... what do you have? I wouldn't mind some Skit... Zap looked at what was on the food cart and was once again speechless. It was loaded with a rainbow candies, treats, and drinks of the like he has never seen before. Zap: ...tles. Plump Witch: Oh! You must be muggle-born! Might I suggest a bit of everything? Teddylot: EVERYTHING!? What kind of money do you think we're made of, woman?! Plump Witch: Well, as it's your first time here. I'm going to give you a discount. Only 1 galleon for one of everything. Teddylot: I'm not sick. Zap: Umm, does anybody else want in on the sugary goodness? I'll buy. The cart had been emptied of all its candies, treats, and drinks and was now spread out around the cabin intermingled with a few wrappers. Zap's pocket was considerably emptied, but he didn't mind much. Teddylot: Cool. A ... *reads wrapper* Chocolate Frog. *bites off the head and the body is left wriggling* Mmmmmm. |

| Both Twister and Zap got up to lift the various suitcases off of Kirby. Teddylot picked up Coo, but didn't move from his position on Kirby's head. Twister: What in the world is going on? Teddylot: I got Coo. Zap rushed to the compartment window to look outside as were many of the children on the train. But soon, they were no longer able to because the windows had all frosted up. Zap: Something's out there. The room's temperature dropped to below freezing and everybody's breath became visible. Twister: Man ... *shivers* this is ... weird. |

| Teddylot: ... Holy Jenkins. Teddylot had watched the entire scene from his compartment ... amazed. However, Zap and Twister had acted much differently, going into dazes when the dementors had shown up on the train. Twister had even started to hyperventilate. When the hooded monsters were defeated though, they both seemed to wake up and return to normal. Twister: Man ... *shivers* ... that was creepy. Zap: That's some welcome to the magical world. Teddylot: What are you talking about? It was pretty cool. Twister: *points to Kirby and mystery girl* YOU CALL THAT "PRETTY COOL"!!! ... What the? Everybody's attention was directed toward the two students who were on the corridoor floor, and Coo, who was furiously trying to drag Kirby into the cabin. Both Twister and Zap went to lift him up, while Teddylot moved the candies and candy wrappers out of one of the seats. They set him down on his back, and, after feeling how cold he was, put a few of those complementary blankets over him. Teddylot: Thank god for those complementary blankets. Suddenly, the man that fought away the dementor was standing in the cabin's entrance. Man: Is he alright? Zap: He's still alive, yeah, but he fainted. I think it's because of those things. Man: They're dementors. Zap: ... sure. Teddylot: What are dementeds? Man: Dementors. They're magical creatures that suck the happiness out of everything. Zap: ... weird. Man: Well, if you've never heard of a dementor, you must be muggle-born. Zap: ... umm ... yeah. Man: Understandable. Many of the students are. The man took one of the unopened chocolate frogs and fed it to Kirby and helped him chew it up. Man: Chocolate ... is a good food that helps warm people up after a dementor has been around. I suggest you all have several of them. This boy, especially. *waves to Kirby* Zap: How? Man: No time to explain. I have to attend to the other students on the train. Twister: Wait. What's your name? Man: I am Professor R. J. Lupin, and I'll be your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. The professor turned around and exited the chamber at full speed going to the cabin across from theirs. Twister: This magic stuff ... | Zap: Gotcha covered. Zap kept the door open for Kirby and opened it to its extent, finally doing something "useful" for the group. Teddylot: Man, your job sucks. Zap: I haven't seen you do anything useful lately. Teddylot: WHAAAAAT are you TAAAALKING about? I'm the comic relief expert extraordinaire. Zap: Yeah, but I'm afraid that's the role of almost everybody that doesn't have a main role in the story. Teddylot: *dances across the scene with a cane and a tophat* HOTCHA-CHA! |

| Zap: Su-- Teddylot: I'D LOVE TO!!! Zap: But he was addressing m-- Teddylot: NO ... he wasn't ... because you're the doorstop. Teddylot stepped into the plain room, making sure not to set off any booby traps, or whatnot. He slowly made his way toward the chest. Teddylot: Are you sure this thing doesn't need a key? I don't understand why people wouldn't lock their chests and leave them in the middle of nowhere. Zap: Just do it. Teddylot: What if this thing's a booby trap and opening it will trigger it? Zap: Who cares? It'll advance the story. Just do it. Teddylot: You know, if you keep on saying that you might get sued for infringement. Zap: Just-- Teddylot: *kicks the chest open* Well, whadyaknow ... it was unlocked. |

| Teddylot: Hmm ... you think these frogs melt in your mouth or in your hand. Twister: I dunno. Why don't you try it out yourself? Teddylot: Good idea. *pops some into his mouth* *few minutes pass* Twister: Is it working? Teddylot: Just a-- Drat ... I mashed 'em. Twister: Well, try again. *slumps more comfortably in his seat* The train was now at full speed once again and the sun had started to set. The moment of the dementors had become the talk of the train. This brought up other incidents of odd going-ons over the past few years and soon the train was back to its loud chatty self, all except Zap. He had gone into think mode. Thinking about the incident, the new, magical world, but mainly on how it affected Kirby. He had come up with several conclusions as to why ... you know ... but he wasn't sure, and didn't want to impose on his privacy by asking .... but he was curious. Zap: Sooo ... Kirb, umm, do you know why those ... demen-- However, he was interrupted by two older students with the same freckled face and red hair. Twins, of course, and the most mischievous duo of the school. Fred: 'Ello. George: What have we here? Fred: Looks to me like they're all first years. George: Except that one in the corner. Looks like a first year teacher to me. Fred: Right you are. George: So, did you all get a taste of those nasty dementors. Apparently, they attacked this cart pretty badly. Teddylot: You know they did! ... man, mashed 'em again. Fred and George: ... Zap: Heh ...  ;;;. He's our pet.Fred: You know for all the years we've been in magic. George: And that's a while, mind you. Fred: We've never seen anything like that. Teddylot: 'Cause I'm the only one like that, punk. Fred: Well, in any case, welcome to Hogwarts. We're the chief mischief makers around here. George: Here, here. Teddylot: Here. *mashes another chocolate frog into his mouth* Fred: We're just going around and making sure everybody puts on their robes before the train arrives. George: Which would be in around half an hour. Fred: I'd hurry up if I were you. George: Well, we must be off. We have mischief to brew. Fred: *mock* Tata. The two twins left the compartment with an awkard silence. Twister: Weirdos. Zap: What do you expect? Teddylot: I like those guys ... crud, mashed it again. Twister: Having troubles with your experiment? Teddylot: Yep ... looks like the world may never know. |

| The group had finally put on their wizard wear and were waiting impatiently for the train to stop. Although, the remaining time on the train was only supposed to last half an hour, it seemed, at least to the new students on the train, to last ten times longer. The outside of the train had gotten much darker and that meant that the awaited arrival was soon to come. Zap had even started to read some of one of his brand new textbooks, while Twister leaned back in his seat to take a nap. Other than the random flipping of pages, much of the remaining time was spent in silence until ... Teddylot ate the last piece of candy. He then jumped onto his chair, his feet surrounded by huge amounts of wrappers and boxes, and unbuttoned all of his robe's buttons except for the topmost making it look like he was sporting a cape ... it even flapped in the wind of an open window. Teddylot: Oh yeah! *victory pose* It didn't last long, however, because the train soon came to a screeching halt, sending Teddylot flying into Zap who was immersed in his book, while Twister woke up with a start. Twister:  Don't tell me the train is being stormed again.Zap: *pushes Teddylot off of himself* Nope, I think we've finally made it. Pandemonium struck as every student, except for a few experienced ones and the sleepers scattered around the train, headed straight for the exit doors. |

| *bumpified* So I was doodling during class ... like always, and I came up with nifty little doodle which I decided to put into the computer, clean up, color, and whatnot. Here's the finished product. I tried improving my scraggly shading in this one. There is a first, however. It's my first time drawing a female character, seriously.  Anyway, she's hopefully gonna pop up in the Story Forum sometime soon ... and ... the end.Seriously. |

| Well ... I just scan in my doodles then change the levels to get rid of the junk I don't want. I fix up the line art (with a mouse) so that looks good. I then use the polygon lasso tool and the power of layers to color it. For the shading, I use the same tool, and fill it in with either black or white on a low opacity. And I use Photoshop Elements 2.0 ... I'm too poor to buy anything else. Hiryuu, her name is Kim Yeo, and she doens't have a backstory yet. |

| The group of young boys and Janus had finally pushed their way out of the train only to find themselves in another massive crowd of students. Twister: Man, are we ever gonna get out of this? Right as Twister finished his sentence, a large bellow was heard over the hurlyburly of the crowd. ???: Firs' years! Firs' years! Follo' me! All of you oth'rs! Off to the carriages wi' ya! A man of giant proportions was striding through the crowd, parting it as he went by. Most of the students fell silent as they saw him, while others gossiped on who the giant of a man might be. Zap, not wanting to be stuck in the crowd or to get lost, quickly pulled his posse behind the giant, taking advantage of the wake behind him to get out of their situation. Teddylot: Smells like fish. |

| The giant reached a point where the terrain met a lake. He abruptly turned around and, in doing so, almost knocked over those directly behind him with the tail of his coat. ???: Oop! Sorry! *looks down at the crowd of new students* Well, 'Ello there! You mus' be firs' years, eh? The name's Hagrid, I'm the Keeper of Keys 'ere at 'Ogwarts ... *mutters* well, I'll be. The gentle giant bent down on his knees to examine Teddylot who was at the front of the crowd. Teddylot:   ... what? Is there something on my face?Hagrid: Is it ... real? Except those who weren't paying attention, nobody said a word for a while. Twister: Umm ... yeah. ... He is. Hagrid began to examine the bear more closely. Teddylot just stood there, oblivious to what was going on. However, after a few, Hagrid picked himself up straight and continued his speech. Hagrid: Sorry 'bout that! Got carried away! Anyway ... The giant bellowed a short speech that instructed the first years to get into the many boats at the dock. Hagrid: Now, rememba'! Only fou' people to a boat! Don't rock the boat or you could fall in, and be sure to keep your hands, feet, and otha' body parts you wan'a' keep inside of it! Now, get a move on! Hagrid then turned back around to get into his own boat which he took full use of. The students, meanwhile, began to scramble for any open boat they could find. Teddylot, being the first in line, quickly jumped into an open boat. He was soon followed by Twister and Zap. Teddylot: AVAST, mateys! We've gots sailin' to do! Lieutenant Twister! Way anchor! First Mate Zap! Compliment me on my awesome-ness! You other folk! *points to Kirby and Janus* Hop on! |
