English was always my best and favorite subject, 'till it turned around and murdered me in the back. Towards the end it was all analysis and essays. It was horrible. All the stories and poetry I wrote when I was 6 or 7, which I was rewarded for in Junior School, had been eliminated. If English were a person, he'd be O.J.Simpson |
While I was still in School, my favorite became Mechanics. This was ironic because I have long been weak in Maths, but here was a subject that I excelled in. Resolving forces, calculating motion and distance was really interesting for me Right now, I'm in university studying Software Engineering... My favorite subject now would probably be my C++ class

Perhaps, but the problem is that the sound levels need to be mixed in a certain way to make the vocal range quieter. Whether this works or not is hit and miss, and can sometimes make the music sound weird. |
I don't know of any plugins for Winamp that do this, but the possibility does exist.

His hand is hurting because he whacked his hand on the table. |
It doesn't take a supersluth to figure that one out. Maybe if Pookie was kidnapped, though... Or Monday the 13th... Or Odie bizarrely becoming pregnant ()...

I think Garfield hasn't aged a day... He's just as funny as he's ever been. I think there's a lot of expectation of cartoonists to deliver classics every day... That isn't always the case, because the thing that makes Garfield what it is for me, is that one gag can be spread out, and be funny for longer |
For instance, the holiday that Garfield and Jon went on that was on the cheap... Lots of the strips throughout made constant use of the storyline Personally, my favorite strip is: Cell one: Odie is on the table, upside down, tail wagging, with Jon and Garfield beside him. Jon: "Garfield! Odie's standing on his head!" Garfield: "Brilliant" Cell Two: Jon: "But isn't that amazing?" Garfield: "Not really" Cell Three: Garfield: "I glued his head to the table"

Batshit insane. It's so insane that it makes it kinda difficult to watch. It's good, it's funny, but it's not my favroite. |
By the way, has anyone seen Puni Puni Poemi? It's the only anime potentially MORE insane than Excel Saga.

And the company of a certain young lecherous king Cosmo Canyon - FFVII Studying the stars is a wonderful way to live. A campfire every night, too And the least likely place I'd live... Zozo, FFVI...

Fundamentally, the Gender Recognition Bill will allow transsexual people to change their gender on their birth certificates. |
This has long been a problem in the UK. The birth certificate has to be supplied when a person is requested of proof of identity when applying for a bank account, a job amoungst other things. This violated the Human Right to privacy relating to one's past history. The UK has been left behind in legal terms by other countries... Every other country in Europe has laws in place for this purpose, and even the US has legislation. However, years of problems are now coming to an end... The Government has passes the bill, and now awaits Royal Ascent. The Queen formally approves the bill (a formality, she holds the green stamp, basically), and the bill becomes law. Press For Change The political protest group that has pressed for legislation for twelve years. All in all... It's a great day for a long misunderstood and ridiculed minority of people Huzzah! Thank you, everyone |
GerBil = GEnder Recognition BILl, given to it by the transpeople it represents, I guess. I think it's a cute nickname It's always been expected of transpeople to announce their secret to everyone in every situation. Whenever you hear someone talking about it, they always say something like "oh, he'd better tell me about it if I ever met one"... Which of course is ridiculous. The aim of the game is to live your life normally, afterwards. As if you'd never been born a guy. After all, this is what the majority wants, a normal life. This new legislation to designed to protect that, a basic human right that we're expected to break by bigots. Of course, there's still a long way to go. Having a trans woman in Big Brother doesn't help. All the media is extremely prejudiced and sickening when talking about her. "Shemale" comes up alot. The media dare not call homosexual people "fags" so why are these comments ignored? There's one simple reason. For every transperson like me, there are two Jerry Springer breed trans people in the media. Put simply, the stunners pass away into obscurity. The loudmouths and the idiots always get noticed, and this is what has given us a bad reputation. Hopefully, now that it's much easier for a young transperson to go through the process completely, maybe the next generation will command a little more respect. Here's hoping (edited by Kasumi-Astra on 06-14-04 05:36 PM) (edited by Kasumi-Astra on 06-14-04 05:36 PM) (edited by Kasumi-Astra on 06-14-04 05:38 PM)

It's the record companies that screw you over, not the bands. They make the decision to release the material. |
You should be grateful that your favorite bands are recording more material. There are some bands who release singles without any real B-Sides. Now, that is ripping off their customers. There are some great bands that aren't recording anymore because their record company screwed them over (a-la Powerman 5000). And about EPs... Over here, EPs have been banned from the charts. Bands are limited to three tracks, meaning only two B-Sides. This was so that pop bands don't have to write as much material, because, let's face it, the record companies pay someone else to write for them It's an evil, biased market. It plays straight into the hands of corperate record companies, and honest artists are discriminated against.

I remember the GBC Resident Evil too... It was simply stunning. You'd never have thought that a GBC could pull such graphics, but in the end, everyone knows why it wasn't worth the effort... Of course the GBA was then on the horizon, where similar graphics could be achieved no problem. |
