The only powder for a drink I ever find myself using these days is for hot chocolate. I voted for 'Syrup's the best', in the list of choices, since that's the only thing I find myself using in milk. The only thing I don't like with it is how some syrup always manages to get stuck at the bottom of the glass It's probably worth mentioning that I don't think I've ever once seen the powder stuff when we were out grocery shopping either |

I'm quite confident that's what most people register here for Aside from the occasional advertiser, of course There's no reason you shouldn't have fun here, as long as you follow the rules stated in the FAQ, so read that, and hopefully you like it here Welcome to the board |

At first I was going to say something to the effect of that just being crazy, but then I read the bit of the article about how the cat was cloned from her other one that died I guess if she was quite willing to spend the money to have that done, it's completely her choice, but still, she was lucky. Read the bottom of the thing, and you'll see that they plan on charging $100,000 for their first 'customers' The comment about being able to provide plenty of 'homes' for stray cats really is true. I personally don't think it's worth it to pay any amount of money to clone an animal, when you could use that money to help a large number of other ones I don't know what it's like in other places, but here, there have been a few complaints that there's a lot of stray cats around. Sure, nobody in their right mind would just go pick up a random cat they saw walking around, and take it home as a new pet, but still, you can get a cat for probably somewhere around $100 at the humane society here. If you wanted one that looks like a cat you had that died, it most likely wouldn't be very hard to find one. It's not like you should spend a fortune just to get a pet In the long run, pet supplies and stuff may total up to quite a tidy sum, but I still think that's more worth it in the end. Originally posted by Dark Vampriel I was thinking more along the lines that it'd be walking around outside somewhere, and thus be at a greater risk of having some sort of disease Even if you were to do that, you'd definitely want to take it to a vet so you can see how healthy it is, and then what happens if it's somehow sick? I'm not sure what would happen then, because I don't think it would be your pet, but still, you're the one that's responsible for it right then. In your Mom's case, the fact that it was sitting in the garage makes the situation seem a bit better, and then obviously she must really like cats, to take one in just like that Like I said about the lady in the article you posted, if you're prepared to do it, go ahead. |

Originally posted by Kyouji Craw Ok, so it appears I should rephrase what I said There's not alot of people that I know that would pick up a cat they saw walking around outside, and keep it as a pet. There's obviously other people that would do that, such as you, Dark Vampriel, and other people out there, and you're all quite entitled to do so |

It could be a good idea, for the reasons you and Smallhacker pointed out. You'd know very quickly when a new message was posted, but I think the somewhat constant page refreshes would get kind of annoying. Unless it was disabled while you were reading posts in a thread, it'd be frustrating to have the page suddenly refresh while you were reading You can also click the 'Mark all forums read' link at the top of the page, click the 'Main' link, and then periodically refresh the page. It's not exactly what you're looking for, but it's still a way to do something like that without having to add something else to the site. The thing I realized is that something like this is a bit like the system I saw in place at a few other boards. While making a post, or a new thread, you could select an option to have notification emails sent to you when someone posts a reply after yours. I don't know about others, but I made use of that option quite a bit, and it filled up my email storage quite quickly Also, the RSS Feed links on the bottom of the board pages probably do something like that, but I'm still trying to figure out exactly how to get those to work. Not to say that it's a bad idea, but I myself don't think it's very practical Edit: HyperHacker beat me to the thing about the RSS Feed |

Well, if we're going to list our NES games, I'll list mine as well 3-in-1 Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt / World Class Track Meet, Adventure Island III, Battle of Olympus, Bible Buffet, Big Nose the Caveman, Bomberman, BurgerTime, Captain Comic, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, Darkwing Duck, Exodus, Faxanadu, Fester's Quest, Gauntlet, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Joshua, Jungle Book, Kid Icarus, Kid Kool, King of Kings, Kirby's Adventure, Kung Fu, M.C. Kids, Mega Man 2, Puzznic, Ren & Stimpy Show: Buckaroo$, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants, Star Tropics, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt, Tetris, and finally, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Whee. Long list Strangely enough, the instruction booklet that came with Star Tropics said the battery inside would last for about 5 years. It's been more than 5 years since we got the game, so I'm wondering if there's either not a battery in it at all (but then, how would the game save?), or that we've somehow managed to keep the game in excellent conditions this whole while My favorite game out of that list would be one of two. Either Star Tropics, or Joshua. I'd assume a few people have played the first one, but from what I read on Joshua at GameFAQs, it's an incredibly rare game to find. Same thing with Exodus, I think, because it's made by the same company (Wisdom Tree). The only unlicensed game I know we have is Captain Comic. Got that a long while back at Canadian Tire, when they stilll sold video games I found a DOS version of the game a couple months ago, but I'd still rather play the game in the Nintendo |

These are how my plugins are set up: Video : Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.68, and a screenshot of the 'Configure' window, because I'm not going to all the trouble of typing the different details out Sound : ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2, with the first two options enabled. You may or may not need to adjust the settings in the Video Config window depending on how good your computer is The only issue I've had with it is in Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. Movies will play fine, but you can't hear any sound The sound works fine any other time though I don't have Final Fantasy Tactics to be able to test that, but with luck those will help you in getting things working |

We've just gotten back from my Aunt and Uncle's house. Got my memory card 1019 and a big container of cashews I'm tempted to stay up 'till 12, but I don't want to get my stocking while I'm still awake. Ruins all the fun of it If it isn't already blatantly obvious, I'm quite excited and happy Still have to write a thank-you note for the gifts I just got though, so I'll do that now (edited by Karadur on 12-24-04 09:45 PM) (edited by Karadur on 12-24-04 09:46 PM) |

1% We used to drink 2% when I was younger, but we've switched, and now I'm used to drinking that stuff. Even if I were to drink a different kind of milk now, it has to be cold I can't stand warm milk, even if it is good to drink before going to bed | |||

I'd say something's gotten down inside the control stick part That sort of thing happened with our N64 controllers, and my Dad and friend saw fit to take them apart and try to fix them, but they did more harm than good with that. They're now worse than they were before How long have you had this controller now? The Gamecube controller I use now is the one I've had since I bought the thing, and it's still working, but the control stick's starting to loosen up, as in it doesn't quite return to the center of the circle part when you let go of it. If you have the things necessary to, I'd say to try taking the back or front, whichever piece comes off of your controller, and seeing if there's anything under the ball of the control stick. If that doesn't work, and I know you probably don't want to hear it, buying a new one probably would be your best bet |

What's with the panda? I had to go back twice before I could hit him in the nose I thought you couldn't hit him at all the first time, and was going to tell you it wasn't nearly April Fools yet Like dormento said, this thing will make NES hacking a lot easier. I'll probably be one of the first of quite a few people to say thanks Merry Christmas to you too (edited by Karadur on 12-25-04 10:23 AM) |

What exactly does SNPCFF3 stand for? I wasn't around back then, so it's a mystery to me A satirical ROM hack of SMB3, hmm? Sounds fun This sounds like something that'll keep me busy for the rest of the night Merry Christmas Edit: Nevermind the first question. I found out I might add that I was quite surprised when I got what was supposed to be a leaf My brother was watching me, and saw it fit to say 'uhhhhh'. Definitely not recommended for the younger players out there. (edited by Karadur on 12-25-04 06:02 PM) |
