I saw footage of it going into one of the islands. They weren't high at all! Maybe 3 feet. But there was so much water behind it, it just kept on plowing through.

It did hit the west coast of Australia, but nothing serious at all.

Australia and New Zealand have sent in a few Hercules helicopters full of supplies and everything.
They expect many more deaths due to sickness. Everything's contaminated: Water, food, everything.

Australia have donated $10,000,000
U.S have donated $25,000,000

Millions of people are now homeless.

Bad stuff.

Thta's just pathetic!! I hope many people take protests about this thing! After hearing that, I can easily say that the U.S government are acting like terrorists themselves. Inhumane! It's their fault so many lives were lost!

God! I'm so angry right now!

Only 9 Australian are dead with about 17 more still missing.

Reading some of these posts does make this donating seem kinda like a contest... Who cares!? It all helps anyway!
It would be pretty good if the countries would double everyone's donated money though.

Even if some loonie did run screaming "A tsunami is coming!!!" I'm sure alot of people would've ran... Or even just looked a little closer.
Then again, there could've been alot more deaths if it happened later in the day when all the tourists would've been on the beach.

"Follow the white rabbit"

My IE doesn't even work anymore!
It loads up nothing but what's in my favorites list. Everything else, is just some search place but no matter what you type in, it just returns back to there.

Even when someone send me a link in MSN Messenger, I have to copy and paste the URL in Mozilla. Can be a pain in the ass.

Recently, I installed Norton Symantec 2005. Found maybe 300 problems? Many of which were different programs infected with the one virus. My computer's a little faster now. But not at it's best.

To me, it's always been the same with Playstation. They have a few really good games, but are overshadowed by their countless shit ones.

Nintendo on the other hand have alot of long running kick ass series which will always prevail. Metroid, Zelda, Mario etc.

I've been a Nintendo boy since the very beggining.

Sure, I owned a PSX, and liked it. It had some awesome RPGs, but many of them never even got released over here in Australia, and we were left with the shitty sport, racing and other games that didn't do it justice. Thus I got my PSX chipped. I was thrilled about paying $10 a game. But there's just something about not owning the official thing that makes you not want to fully finish it, not getting everything. It was annoying back with the PSX how their CD covers didn't fit in a CD stacker, but then they released their covers to fit in a CD stacker. This was just as annoying, because now you have a mixture of thick and thin PSX games.

Ah well... Hopfully, this'll bring on plenty of good arguments on both sides.

How about we make a "Good, bad and ugly" post/thread about the PSP?

Well, I guess I believe. I mean, that Area 51 is restricted... Why? There's something they're not telling us... What is it?

And about ghosts? I'm not sure! there've been alot of stories about 'em. But then you'd have to take in the whole "religion" debate. Like Limbo, and Heaven and Hell. Personally I don't believe in God. To me, science has proven almost everything anyway.

What happens when you die? Is it just like going to sleep forever? Does your spirit really raise out? Is there a heaven and hell?

But sure, you wonder how big it is out there... There just has to be something else.

The only thing I didn't really like about your old game was the overworld map, but this one looks much, much, much better!

Cool! I saw a doccumentry about Titan the other day. They said it's much more probable of us living there than on Mars, and that those huge cracks on it's suface constantly open and close up daily.

Well, there're a hell of alot more aussies dead now. And over 1000 missing, so I dunno.

Australia's donating $200,000,000 a year for 5 years, so yeah. And a shit-load of fundraising events have been going on lately, and they rack up quite abit. But anyway!

Unfortunately, Arena didn't work for me. I could hear the music, and when I selected a save state, it just froze. I loaded it up again and it didn't even let me get to the save file select screen

Ah crap! Sorry, I said it wrong... Uhh, you know how just after the title screen it goes to the screen where you select your save file, dele, copy and whatnot? Yeah!
I just tried it again. All the graphics are stuffed up, as once you get past the map screen, it freezes.

Nope, still doesn't work. I usually use Snes9x v1.42, but just now I tried it in ZSNESW V1.35, and still did the same thing. Maybe I have the wrong ROM. Like the wrong version. I know I had that kinda problem when I tried to play a Super Mario World hack.

What version of the Super Metroid ROM do I need? I have a good site I go to, so it shouldn't be a problem for me to find it. Sorry for being a pain, and your help is greatly appreciated.

*Cries* Okay, this is what's happening. (Annoying, I know)
I downloaded Super Metroid (JU) [t1], out of a choice of either that or [t2], and it starts up perfect. However, everything goes well untill the opening story is at it's end and you see Samus's ship fly to the Space Station, after that, nothing.
I'm not doing anything wrong, am I?
I've noticed that it does tend to boggle everything up when I play it in 'Turbo Mode' on Snes9x, but trying it in ZSNESW works fine... Besides that one Space Station stuff up...

*Note: I would use more emtional emoticons, but the ones I've memorized from another board are of no use here, and I couldn't be bothered going to the FAQ all the time. =P*

I've only ever had one really good controller. It was a Thrustmaster, with 4 standard buttons, and 4 shoulder buttons. The downside to this controller was that it didn't have a start and select button, but I just set them to L2 for select and R2 for start. I was only using it for SNES so it didn't really matter. It was almost better to have them up there anyway. It had the BEST D-pad I've ever had though. Street Fighter games were no trouble at all. Sadly, that controller is long gone, and I'm stuck with a PS1 layout controller with the worst D-pad. Diagonals are impossible to do, so I'm forced to use the analog stick.

I miss having a good D-pad
