It is nice to be recognized. Anyway, yeah, everyone is a newbie at least once. Not everyone grew up at this board so we ain't all gonna know everything about Lunar Magic. I'd rather read a faq than have to post to get answers but there is not any. "Help" option in Lunar magic is kinda overwhelming when you don't know anything about the program.

So, does this patch have the SMB1 music on it? I'm already about 10 levels along and got the smb3 music but it would be nice to add the SMB1 music in there as well. If I use THe SMB1 music patch I have now then it will overwrite the levels I made. So a patch that adds the music only would be useful.

I think some of those graphics can't be placed over other graphics cause it will pretty much block out theother tile. I noticed that when I put coins on some of the walk thru dirt.

I've read the Lunar magic help file and it says something about extracting graphics then altering the bin files. But there is alot to choose from GFX 1-32. and EX Gfx 80 - FE. And Map 16 pages. I've been browsing thru alot of these in my tile layer pro and none of them show any of the graphics from my game so am I doing something wrong? I already extracted the graphics and EX gfx like it says.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My words exactly. When I was a kid I used to have lots of level ideas in my head. Without level editors these ideas could never come to light. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that feel LM is a blessing for this reason also.

Probably the not editing original graphics is for those who might want to use my hack to build their own. If the guy who did demo world changed the original graphics then I'd wind up having to use those.

I dont know how to use exgfx yet so I'm gonna just alter the originals for now. I do plan to learn that too tho so I can add even more graphix.

I made alot of gameshark codes for Castlevania SOTN that brought back unused stuff. This kind of stuff is interesting, if not useful.

Well, Project 64 is the probably the best one out there. The only drawbacks are that graphics in a few games are messed up. F-zero X for example. Also you can only use the pre-installed gameshark cheats.

Let's hope work on project 1964 continues and surpasses PJ64.

I think I heard you can use stuff edited with Paintshop pro. Does anyone know about this? The only thing I remember is that you have to change the pic to 16 bit color. But I dont know how I would be able to get Tile Layer Pro to even recognize this pic I made so I can do some easy transporting of the graphics.

Since this form of hacking could be considered a rom hack will anyone make some kind of Rom patching utility and perhaps a gameshark code inserter?

I used to be good at gs code hacking and I could be among people who could create these new form of hacks.

Thanks for the replies. The pic to snes thing is dos unfortunately. And I got windows. But the import bitmap thing worked perfectly.

Well, if you got a good guy who can streamline the levels then it might work, they can adjust the level difficulty accordingly with how early in the game it takes place.
