Yeah, I finished reading It for the first time this weekend. I'd have to say that it's definitely nothing like the movie, and probably even further from what I expected to read. I thought it was scary as hell, though my dad says it doesn't hold a candle to The Stand. Plus...

Spoiler:
The part with, basically, the loli, made me grossed out. Although, the part where they revealed It as the spider definitely seemed cooler than how the movie showed it.

So, how many people have read the book? Did you like it?

There's also no justice in the fact that it was ranked #26 to begin with. That's also what I said after the first round, when DDR got knocked out.

The only people who say "DDR < all" are the ones who either

A. Have never played it before
B. Played it once and got owned in the face

Honestly, DDR takes more skill than any other game I've ever played (except maybe Pump).

Yeah, the movie was Star Wars Ep 2. I remember this because I saw it.

This was the scenario:

Me: Oh, it's 9:00, Family Guy must be on...
*turns TV on*
*changes channel from ESPN to FOX*
*sees Attack of the Clones instead of Family Guy*
Me (almost literally): What the deuce?

So, anything important that anyone wants to share?

1. Super Mario Bros 3

This was actually the first of the original three that I managed to beat. I agree that the music was really good for its time, and besides, it's all the old-school Mario that we know and love.

Plus, I was personally never really excited to play LttP...bleh.

2. Super Smash Bros Melee

At least one of the five best games on the Cube (I have it #3, behind Metroid Prime and RE4). Multiplayer is absolutely legendary (our opinion of SSBM's multiplayer = most others' opinions of Halo 2 multiplayer). What else is there really to say?

Try the JSB Challenge!

PSMO: No bar, playing with your face, while fighting off ninjas. While getting a AAA.

That was in someone's sig somewhere. I think it was on BMS, but I'm not sure. And is SMO able to match people up against each other?

Posted on 06-18-05 10:44 PM, in Nintendo releases Info about Revolution Link
Slight bump for some information I'd like to share.

On the Bemanistyle forums, there's a guy who found out from a Nintendo rep at Gamestop that Nintendo won't release anything official about Revolution until all of the PS3 specs are finalized and put out for public display. When Sony will do that, neither of them really knew, but in all likelihood it will come soon. From what I've heard, this is because of the fact that Sony stole the analog stick idea after Nintendo released its information about the N64 controller way back when. I personally think it should come within the next couple of months, seeing as how the TGS is coming up relatively soon, and M$'s presence is still Sony's main concern. It's actually as if M$ and Nintendo are both working together to force Sony's hand.

Also, I've been seeing some rather interesting pictures of an...accessory, I guess you could say, for the Rev. Although a lot of people have debunked the notion of these pictures, they show a shot of the Rev, with a sort of racing helmet sitting next to it, with a visor that covers the eyes. Now, I don't know whether it's true or not, but if it is, and Nintendo can show that the idea wouldn't be another Virtual Boy, then it could very well be revolutionary, as N is claiming it is. But if this isn't it, then what will be this revolutionary idea? I'm reading a ton of hints that are being dropped about it by Miyamoto, but I can't seem to put them all together.

SMB3, by far.

It's the best-selling video game ever. EVAR. I think that speaks for itself, doesn't it?

NSNick = Win.

Yeah, Atari did have the "hold on the market"; that is, right about until they decided to make the game of ET. Then came the fabled "crash" of 1983. And who helped gaming pick itself back up?

Nintendo.

Seriously, Nintendo is only considered by many to be on its last legs because it ONLY makes games. As has been pointed out before, MS and Sony are both more than just gaming companies, but Nintendo doesn't have this facet. That being said, I'm rather disappointed that they haven't really been able to come up with a new series or two.

Own it. It took me slightly more than forty hours to beat it, without any kind of strategy guide. And I have to say that I absolutely love it to death. It's seriously one of my favorite RPGs, because IMO, the plot is very intricate. It's too bad that there aren't many side quests, though...after the main quest, that's pretty much it.

Well, I say the Master Chief, even though I know that a lot of you people don't like Halo.

But yeah, I'd have to agree that Link's pretty badass, although I wish Nintendo would make a game where he actually f-ing speaks.

Yeah, when it comes to females in video games, it doesn't get much better than Samus, despite what the DoA and Tomb Raider fanboys may say.

Don't mind me asking, but what happens when you beat Metroid Prime 2 with 100%?

I'm pretty sure I got around like 98% and needed one missile tank, I've only beaten that game once though. I don't know, it just didn't grasp me as much as Prime did, which I've beaten about 4-5 times (mostly on Hard Mode because it's more fun).

I got 100%, and if I check, I'm pretty sure that you get to see Samus without her space suit, and you get to see a little clip at the ending (or something like that) that includes Dark Samus and may be a hint for something that happens in Prime 3.

I'd have to say Prime 2. Although a lot of people don't like it as much as Prime, I found it to be more enjoyable because there seemed to be more of a coherent storyline being played out. Even then, though, all the story's been told in the scannable things, which has been disappointing.

I looked FOREVER for a strategy guide to the game, and I could NEVER find one. What company wrote it? Are there even any available?

Aside: That explains why I couldn't do all the side quests...

Yeah, this is especially true when the strategy guide for the game is like so:

"Hay guys, therez anuter gam aftr ths, but we ain't gonna tel yas nethin bouts it!" I eventually beat it, after nearly breaking a controller. But yeah, you have to go so far out of the way to get alot of those damned Silver Coins that it does seem impossible.

Another problem I had is when I was playing Tales of Symphonia. There was one time where they game had been quite vague regarding where I was supposed to go next. Okay, I said, I'll just wander around until I find it. I walk around the ENTIRE map of the first world, trying to find out where the hell I'm supposed to go next...ay, it was not fun at all. And even sadder was the fact that I wasn't supposed to go too far from where I had been.

Finally...well, I think the ultimate worst moment is when you fail a song in DDR. Especially if it's on the last arrow.

A 12-inch penis. That's it.

Oh, and a woman to share it with. Preferrably Lindsey Lohan or Maria Sharapova.

Superpowers, too. Preferrably fire.
