| it's likely that i'll have finished both hacks sometime in june, but there's a chance it could take me until july. these things aren't easily predictable, since i made the first version of SMB1 in only 22 days, yet it took me 8 days to make the first level of SMB2! and there won't be any public demos of this. | |||

| i hope you didn't mean that personally dan, but anyway i respect your opinion. But i meant that i think using RLM to rip is immoral. Mainly because people lock their hacks because they don't want other people using their GFX. | |||

| well i'm glad to see so much civil feedback on this. Personally, i wouldn't use RLM, but i'm okay with other people using it, credit or not. I don't expect credit if people use the GFX in my hacks, and i don't lock them anyway. And also, a HUGE thanks goes out to everyone who voted that i suck! But... time for a few more screenies: The overworld is now complete! 16 worlds! Does World E look slightly familiar? (it's the left-middle submap)  A close-up of the new Worlds, 9 and F. It's raining! (animated of course)  World 9-2 (nothing really new here...)   World 9-3 (just like a world 9 level in SMBTLL, it's a normal (grasslands level, flooded!) |

| There was barely enough space for the rain, considering the ocean takes up 4 of the 8 animated tiles. The rain uses the other 4. Yup, it's on layer 1. I placed the rain over the spare level tiles, spare H and V paths, and the spare exit tiles, so i used those instead of the regular layer 1 tiles. Also, because that map is where Bowser's Valley was, there's thunder. Remember to keep checking in the first post of this thread for the latest updates. | |||

| Yeah, sure guys go ahead and take it. Let me know if you're having any trouble with it. Here's another tip: use the diagonal waterfall to make snow. You'll have to slightly edit the GFX for it, but you only need to edit one 8x8 tile, which is shifted to form the animation. | |||

| it looks good! Really good Master M! You've improved a HUGE lot since you've started! A few suggestions though: edit the shyguy's GFX to make it look like the ball is in front of his face. ie delete the part of his face that appears over the ball. I'm looking forward to this! |

| you have to take a screenshot of the original BG, open it with Paint. use the pick colour function, left click on the colour you want, go to colors >> edit colors >> define custom colours, take note of the RGB value you see, and enter it in the right place in LM.
