i adore my best friend a lot so I may feel the same way he does about you; as for my best friend, not sure what she feels right now--she has never really told me because at the time I "confessed," she was in the mode of taking a break from relationships. So, yeah--after 1 year, I think she is still in that break. But she treats me as a very close friend, so things may not be hopeless after all...

um...if your best friend really cares about you a lot, he'll wait and respect your decisions; just like I am waiting for my best friend and respecting her decision to be on a break. maybe in time, if things develop you'll be able to carry a relationship again--but that depends on how you to get through this period and the years ahead. you should be glad someone out there (outside your family) cares for you. so, don't take it for granted...i'm not sure what else to say but... this is a good thing.

so yeah...just do what you feel is best for you and if he really is a good friend to you, he'll respect your decisions.

If you want it portable to Windows, then Java would be easier since it's meant for cross platform development. However, C would be a simpiler language to use as the compiler you'd use on Mac (gcc I believe), has support on Windows via MinGW. There are quite a few GUI packages for C that you could use: gtk and Tcl/Tk but I have not worked with either of those two.

this wasn't gamesharked since...what could you gameshark? the jumps...if the could jump all the time wouldn't they? plus, i find it fairly ingeniuous to have gotten hurt to move up levels..

the glitch on the stairs was soooo cool...i bet that glitch was been fixed in the later releases...

i believe RAM will be clocked down lower...I mean, you can always lengthen a clock cycle--it is shortening clock cycles that cause trouble....

it is probably because the HDs are too slow when handling virtual memory. Having more RAM is supposed to help the computer but can hinder the computer if the HDs are not up to the task of doing the swapping. So, that may be the case...

as you know, the slower the speed, the better quality of burns you do get. 16 speed (which is i think a disc in about 7 minutes) is my ideal speed, although I prefer 8 (1 disc in 10 minutes).

but yeah, if you have a brand name drive and brand name media, then any speed should be fine

Intel GMA 900 is the graphics processing unit of the laptop. So, yeah, it will play older stuff just fine but anything around 2002 and later it will probably struggle on. Also, because it is intel, it probably is shared memory so, even more of a performance hit on graphics for newer games.
