| And the sad thing is that people look at Pokemon and say that it sucks BECAUSE they went overboard with the merchandising. It was a cash cow at the start, but come on... Actually, the latest movie didn't do that badly in Japan. The franchise still has legs there. Sadly, that detracts from the games which are solid in their own right. |

| Parties are fun I guess. I have a take-home exam due Tuesday.  Knowing me I'll end up putting it off until Sunday/Monday but I have nothing to do those days so that's fine. Have the Olympics on TV behind me while I work. |

| Go to GameFAQs and you'll see a lot of arguments supporting the FF7 thing. That's what I like about video games actually - a game can certainly be *one* of the best of all time (SMB3, FF7, Zelda:OoT, Halo, etc.) but there's no way to concretely put one of them above all the others. That's why the game industry will never die - you don't have to go out there and improve on every game out there. You just need to make something that's good in its own right. |

My guess is that there won't be much to laugh at unless people start messing around with accents or the like.  Actually, it would be fun to see someone talking for a few minutes about a book in a hillbilly accent. |
