Actually, for all I would guess, if it happens after a certain time and always after a certain time, it may just be that there was a fKitten Yiffer renewing the IP address from a router (or the modem itself) ... which would explain why 'ongoing' connections (IM, IRC) would continue and why new ones (internet browsing, e-mail) wouldn't work

Though I have no idea what could really be happening and this is all random speculation, but still...

On a side note... what's next? Craziness Chat? General Domain? *shot*

True, but the connection remains open. The packets only come every so often.

It's like FTP, for example -- you stay connected to a server, but you only get packets every now and then

I could always try making one though... what would you generally want it to look like, though?

(I mean, hell, I could even go so far as to just copy the LOZ: Oracle series font )

This would suck, especially since I just turned 17

Granted, I wouldn't go buying stuff like GTA, I'd stick with Silent Hill 1 (even though I can never finish the game) and Halo 2 and mabye some Unreal tournament.

But this would obliterate the AO rating -- AO, is, afterall, 18+ in the basics =/

One more thing, if you had IEXPLORER.EXE running, you should've found it and gotten rid of it -- the real one is IEXPLORE.

Is this a fresh ROM? if so, that's really wierd. I've never seen that

Make sure the ROM you use isn't corrupt, since that looks extremely weird.

Anyway, welcome, and please consider adding a background to your posts -- deep purple on .. well, deeper purple isn't exactly easy to read.

That and you can always just not use colors...

This is the main reason I kept this account unbanned for reasons like this (and this will be my last post/activity onthis place for a long while) and I say "fuck you" to Leg's message about how I shouldn't post.

Regardless, after reading through that I agree with several things in that post, especially this by experience:

So he tried baiting me in irc. I tried ignoring him and that pissed him off even further. So he banned me because I wouldn't answer some stupid question of his. By the way, that's a bannable offense now. Not answering an ircgod's question.

I should know -- I was banned for the same reason (dodging questions) albeit by a different IRCop (I think it was Russel) but anyway.

Even though I despise Legion, the man has several good points.

You could just find a copy of QBASIC Extended, a much better version of QB that enables support for libraries and other kickarse junk.

get me on AIM and I'll send you a copy of it, it included a somewhat-built-in compiler that I've never had problems with

No, no, that's wrong (and so is the "INSERT WHERE CLAUSE HERE" thing, it's perfectly fine as-is)

However, your first fatal error is right here -- loguser stores the logged in user's variables, not that certain profile's variables. Chances are not that it's off for everyone, but for just you.

You need to change it to whatever variable contains the user's variable for that.

Palette. Palette. Doesn't anybody read any more?

Or I suppose you could download the program.

(Insert stereotypical bitch/rant on this subject here)
He could be asking if it edited the palette of the battle platform or Bowser himself

Too bad I have no use for this, else I'd check it out.

Wether or not you use the FAT32 FS shouldn't matter -- burning to CD uses a different file system entirely (afaik)...

That, and I'd go with 2000. I've tried both and have to say 2000 rocks XP's socks. It makes my 800MHz computer seem almost as fast as the 2.x GHz XP computer.

Believe me, 2000 rocks. Definitely use that. (not to mention XP has that damned activation "feature")

I thought W.Firewall was installed with XP and wasn't one of those 'deletable' things.

Gone into the Security/Internet Security/Whatever the Fuck It's Called dialoge? I'm actually fairly sure it's under "Security Center", at least it was for me.

(although, you'd be better off with a different firewall.)

In MIRC's options I'm pretty sure there's a "Preform" option. That is obviously the answer.

X-Chat (the Linux version, anyway) had the exact same thing, but it was in the server configuration area (as in, where you chose servers and such.) Same thing.
