Lookin good Master M! I suggest using the SMB2 shyguy rather than the YI one. If i make enough progress with the work i'm doing on mario's tilemap, i might be able to help you in getting the big shyguy look like the giant 32x32 shyguy in Super Mario Advance 2! That would kick ass! | |||

Oh shit i meant to say Super Mario Advance 1 Super Mario Bros 2. SMA2 is SMW Anyway in the first level of SMA1, there were a few giant shyguys shaped 32x32. But the tall shyguy from YI is a good idea too. | |||

On the first page of this thread, there's a picture of the warpzone in the overworld. A secret exit from w1-3 will take you there. Maybe a secret exit from later worlds will take you to a different row of pipes. | |||

Come on guys back on topic. This is lookin good turtleman! By hex editing, you can make cape mario use different GFX to big Mario, so you'd be able to turn him into a different enemy for the cape powerup. | |||

You want to make a paratroopa? That wouldn't require any hex editing, you could just change the cape GFX into wings. A red koopa, good idea HH. | |||

Yeah i will. smwedit told me a way of doing that perfectly. He said i should hide mario at the top of the screen, and use a layer 1 fake mario on the screen, and then have the message displayed. The real mario will be placed a few tiles above a teleport block, so that the message will be displayed before he hits the block. Then after the message goes away, mario will continue falling and hit the teleport block. the screen will then pass to the castle garden where mario will manually climb the anchor up to the doomship. Good idea, eh? Cheap, but efficient! | |||

interesting, there's something quite different about this game. looks quite cool actually! that pipe looks good. change the buzzy beetle's colours. it uses palette E. You should probably get a new background. i reccomend SMB1 world 5-1. it's in this hack: http://www.freewebs.com/peter_ac/smb.zip And eh, where's Mario? or do you play as that hammer bro? i think you should fix those last 3 pics. they don't load... |

Like the rain? it's ripped from the intro in SMA4. a smashed brick leaves behind a rain tile! Mario has a different head for each walking frame A collected coin leaves behind a rain tile, too. I know that these are old levels. the old levels will be released as they were. these are only test levels. some of the extra levels will use rain and snow. i'm adding a few new worlds to this game. Please tell me what ya think! Or i could just take the easy way out, and use movement blocks which look like animated wind. No need for animation activation. |
