You uploaded it as .rar, that's why the link didn't work.

Now, this game has eluded me. I have the mame romset of it, but it doesn't work. I'm sure there must / can be a .smc SNES rom of it somewhere (like for The Addams Family). I've looked everywhere for this game, but had no luck.

The reason I want it is because some stuff in it might be different (like in the NSS Addams Family, some levels and other things were greatly altered). I'm not exactly asking to be pointed right to it, but if anyone has ever seen / downloaded the file "Super Mario World (NSS).smc".

Has anybody ever played this game when it came out a long time ago on the Nintendo Super System in arcades? If so, what is different in this version?

I was thinking something like that, but seeing as the mame romset doesn't work (and you get a bad dump message for one of the files), it would probably be no use.

But, how were The Addams Family and other NSS (.smc) roms made?

I only hope if the day comes that "Super Mario World (NSS).smc" is dumped that it's not 100% the same as the normal version.

There's no good MAME romset dump of it, and no (known) .smc dump.

FuSoYa: Yeah, the dump is bad, but you also need the nss drivers (nss.zip, which includes nss-c.dat, nss-ic14.02, and spc700.rom, altogether are around another 64k) to be able to run a nss game in MAME (which makes no difference here anyway, since the dump of mw.ic1 is bad).

It's quite possible that the game is different even though all the data from the original / full game is there (in NSS Addams Family, all the data from the full game is in the rom, but not all of it is used.. the game leaves out a lot of levels and is in a linear order).

Since the NSS was meant as a 'demo' system, maybe only some levels are accessible. Or not. I don't know since I've never tried NSS SMW and don't have the ability to.

You're probably right, but what if Nintendo didn't use the overworld at all, and instead used a linear set of levels (ie. beat one level and immediately go to another one, like SMB1).

This would still mean that probably nothing in the game is new, but a linear (and short) SMW would still be a nice novelty to have.

You'd be better off playing Super Mario Bros. Deluxe if you are so adamant on playing SMB1 on GBA.

It runs fine, and SMB Deluxe is a much better port than the NES Classic SMB.

Until recently, I've stayed away from religion, but not anymore. I've embraced Christianity, and Jesus. I feel different and stronger as a result.

While I'd like for people to realize that the Son of God died on the cross for our sins, and to embrace Him as your Savior, I will not go to the point of force-feeding it down their throats. In the end, you have to make the decision on your own.

Call me a fool, or whatever you want.. you won't change my beliefs.

Chocolate, and Neopolitan. Voted Chocolate because of the lack of multi-vote option in this poll.

Chocolate is great!

Generic brands aren't so bad.

The 'generic' brand where I live is "Compliments Value", and I really don't find much of a difference, except for the price.

And with the way everything keeps going up in price..

It takes me about an hour (sometimes over) to get to sleep most nights, and I've been this way for a while.

It's normal, don't take sleeping pills for nothing.

Oh, and you only get into heaven or hell (specifically the lake of fire) during judgement day I think, and am paraphrasing.

Ares, you are a bit confused, I'll try to clear up a few things (I'm still new to this, so this might not be all completely correct):

Prior to Jesus's sacrifice on the cross, everyone who died went to Hades. There were two parts to Hades, Paradise and Torments. The righteous and with grace of God were sent to Paradise, and the wicked sent to Torments.

After Jesus died, he decended into Hades to tell everyone there his victory over Satan. He then took all who were in Paradise to Heaven. This would include Abraham, David, Moses, etc.. the Old Testament Saints and other righteous people in God. The wicked were left in the Torments part of Hades, and remain there to this day.

When anyone dies now, if they are saved (through Jesus), then they immediately go to Heaven. If not, they go to the Torments part of Hades (I think). They will stay in Hades until the ressurection of the unrighteous, which will take place at the end of Christ's 1000 year reign. At that time, all the unrighteous will be judged and sent to Hell.

another thing I'm hearing is: "If I'm good...heaven"

Yep, I agree 100% here.. it doesn't matter how good you are, you can't earn your way into heaven. Nobody is good enough.

I usually take the 'best bonus' for each character on level up.

Makes for more balanced characters (as if the game wasn't easy enough already).

No, I'm not a Catholic and none of what I stated came anywhere from the Apocrypha.

http://www.lamblion.com/articles/prophecy/issues/PI-05.php

This article should help to clear it up. Many verses in the Bible clearly state a difference between Hades and Hell (ie. The Lake of Fire), which are referenced in that article. I'm no expert myself on it, and am still learning a lot every day.
