Well, it would be up to board management if any donations (including -- but not limited to -- those generated by this auction) are refunded, not me.

In relation to this specific thread, well... it's an Art Auction. Provided I do the commissioned artwork for the bidders, then as far as I'm concerned, bidders are not entitled to a refund. They will have gotten what they paid for.

I wonder what will happen to this money then if this is the case.

Again, that is a decision I think may be best left to management. I am not instrumental to the fundraising issue here at Acmlm's Board, I am just attempting to come up with a fun way of doing it.

Now, Thayer, if you don't mind, I'd like to see this thread return to bidding. I don't think this is the appropriate venue for discussion on how the staff plan to handle donations. If you have further questions, perhaps somebody like ||bass may be the person to ask, or another thread may be more appropriate.

Oh well, I bid $25.

Kitten Yiffer, I will discuss with you later how it might be best to arrange payment. I think this might be something also for the Questions about Donations thread -- to find out how best to handle donations/auction bids for interested parties who do not have credit cards.

Ooooh, and it's up to $25 USD... hee hee... (And here I was earlier wondering if I'd even get any bids on this... proved me wrong, didn't you guys? )

Well, some things I'd like to know, and I hope that somebody will be able to enlighten me.

I'd like to know if there is any plan in place for people who wish to donate, or participate in the Art Auction, who DON'T have credit cards (and if not, could one be established)?

Obviously, a lot of the users here can't/won't have access to credit cards -- in fact I'd say a majority -- so I think it's certainly in our best interests to try to come up with a way of accomodating those users who wish to find alternate ways of donating.

I'm not sure, but aren't there money transfer services? Would one of these perhaps be worth investigating?

It reminds me of those.... things.. (I can't remember what they're called, it's an acronym of some sort) .. the things I don't get (perhaps doesn't help that my Mac doesn't play the sounds associated with them though)...

... is there a sound associated with this thread, btw...? o.o (If there is, it's not playing on my Mac)

Kick me in my remaining ovary and I will kick you so hard in the nuts they'll have to perform a laparoscopy to locate your wayward testes.

That goes for anybody planning on kicking me in my ovary.

I dunno what I'd do if I were to meet anybody from here. Uh... prolly invite you out for a beer.

I'm not sure either. I know when I was at the FFVII Citadel, we had donators under 18, but they mailed me the cash.. (and I then put it on my debit card and then used the newly cashed-up debit VISA card to pay the hosting fees).

However, one problem with that is that postage does take a little while, and also requires people to remember to actually... well.. *post* things And another downside was the fact that the bank charges to change the currency.

On the bright side, I did get to look at some cool lookin' foreign money.

I was just wondering about New Years Resolutions before, and thinking about my own, and how this is one of the first years I've actually gotten somewhere with a New Years Resolution rather than ignoring it.

Most years, I make a New Year's Resolution at the start of the year. Within a week, it's usually forgotten about and then I don't think about New Years Resolutions again until... well.... New Years!

This year, my resolution was to lose weight.

At the start of this year, I weighed 88kg (193.6 lbs).
Now I weigh 76kg (167.2 lbs)
I lost 12kg (26.4 lbs)

YAY ME! I'm still losing weight too, I intend to lose quite a bit more, but I'm not in any hurry... I'll take it niiice and easy. Hell, I didn't start my resolution till halfway through the year.

So, anyways, how are YOUR New Years Resolutions going? Did you just forget about them?

It freezes at the BIOS as well?

Uhn... something is wrong with the hardware. If it's a laptop, then I don't recommend trying to fix it yourself.... contact your laptop support people.

I get told I'm too nice, and that people take advantage of me because of it. I need to learn to be a bitch.

No, we can't have that. You must be nice, otherwise this place is even less fun. So please, for the children, keep being nice?

No! Screw you!

Seriously, I need to learn to be a touch less nice all the time, so as that I'm not such a pushover I get walked over a bit and I'm often told it's that I'm just too nice and it's just so easy for everybody to walk over me.

Course, I won't be a bitch all the time either, just when it's necessary
