Back to reality I think was the best episode. I like the cat in it as Dwain Dibbley, and also when in series six with the emohawk takes out cats cool and basically turns him into Dwain

Backwards was brilliant but there were many faults in the backwards parts. The first one is when Rimmer and Kryten are in the cafe. Neither of the two women actually speaks backwards except for when the one who was uneating her cake said backwards "The service here is terrible". Also, they were hired for there novelty acts AFTER they got fired from it. And when Lister and Cat ate the pie and started the fight the man says "You've just scoffed my sodding pie. You bloody bastards". Technically he says this BEFORE they ate it. But I liked it anyway

I like doing little quizzes so heres a short question:
How many future echoes altogether did the crew see in "Future Echoes"?

I'm not sure if this should be here or in the rom hacking forum, but where can I learn how to use this language? I want to make some stuff like extra blocks (that blocktool doesn't have) for my SMW hack.

Basically, there is a track, and the sim battlers attempt to get each other off the track and finish first. I'll be the one who says if attacks hit or not, and if the character gets to the end.

Basic Rules:
1) you can't just say "I start and fly to the end. No attack will hit me and I got to the end in one post, I @M 1337!!!!11!11!!!1!!!"

2) This is how I will set the scores of how far people are:
(example in rooftop sprint, counted in houses)
char1 - 6 houses
char2 - 12 houses
char3 - 7 houses (resting from flying)
char4 - 6 houses (resting from direct hit)
char5 - 7 houses (resting from falling at a jump)
char6 - 7 houses (powering up long jump)

3) The first person who wants to join can set the arena. It must follow this template:

TRACK: Make this up yourself, example is the Matrix 100 Houses Sprint
Track Specialities: a description of the track and what can happen in it, example -
When jumping rooftops you can jump over them like in the matrix. Every 5 houses has a large main road gap which a 1 post run up is required, unless flied over. If you are jumping the only post charging you will need is every 5 houses, while flying if you fly constantly it is a 1 post charge/rest every 3 posts. Agents randomly appear around chimneys and windows on the side of the houses who try to shoot you down when you jump. If you are hit, you are put back to the last house you jumped from and you must rest and heal for one post
Players Required: 2 or more (set this to your requirements)

4) There is a system of life in this aswell. A basic race on a 1 kilometre sprint with 3 characters might be like this:

Char1's fireball has hit char3 directly in the back. Char2's thunderbolt has just scratched char1's right arm, so has recieved damage but doesn't need to stop to recover

Char1 - 332 metres / 90/100HP
Char2 - 352 metres / 100/100HP
Char3 - 211 metres / 60/100HP

5) When a challenge is made, me and any others who want to help are incharge of if attacks hit, when random events happen, if a character makes it over an obstacle and every thing else like that. The racers decide when, who and whereabouts they attack and if they decide to make a short stop for healing/resting purposes (you cannot be harmed while doing this).

Sorry for an extensive set of rules, but I'll try to simplify them when i have the time. And I do hope i haven't wasted 30 minutes posting this

Where can I find a free tutorial for VB.NET? I've tried google for a while and either get hard to understand tutorials or ones that don't teach you stuff from the basics to the more complex parts (instead it shows each different tutorial in alphabeticle order)

Four people should join prefferably, so the teams are even. All basic sim battling rules (no god-modding, teleporting etc.), your attacks CAN harm your team mates. When you post say whether you go on the Red or Blue team (I know it's sad names but I'm no good with team names)

Arena - Large sheet of glass which cannot be penetrated in any way. The sheet is 50 by 50 meters. If you are defeated you are placed up into an audience like view and can still fire weak ranged attacks at the enemies until all your team is dead (audience view is 50 meters away from the arena at all points). If you are knocked off the arena you die. Enough explenation lets fight

*Meta Steps through the hallway into the arena and stands in a low down Red Team sphere and waits for more challengers*

Why does someone always have to make you change what you want to learn? I have Dev-C++ which I was using to learn C++ before but couldn't find a complete tutorial. I used cprogramming.com to learn and that helped me a bit, but only taught me a small amount.

Now I have two questions:

1) Where can I get beginners VB.NET tutorials?
2) Where can I get a C++ tutorial to help me learn about programming games in C++?

Pipe land was fun except for those "in the way" levels with the black pirahna plant thingys that kill on impact

How do you make the blue mushroom house appear, and how do you make the hammer brothers levels change into a special coin ship? ive never figured out how, yet ive done it several times

You have to have seen the UK nitnendo magazine for some great scores. They had things like 500,000 points on the slingshot one where you shoot down bob-ombs.

Flipping heck, I can't believe people are arguing over whether I should learn C/C++ and VB.NET. Jees, I only asked for VB.NET tutorials.


From the C++ point of view, I understand what you are saying, as I've heard it all before. Much more flexible etc. So if you can find me tutorials that take me from the basics and work the way up to game/program creation, can you please tell me. That's the reason I stopped C++ learning as I never found any tutorials that took me from basics to game/program creation
