I did a quick google search, and the gift turned out to be "a shiny Zigzagoon holding a Liechi Berry."

Didn't Nintendo actually have little-to-nothing to do with them though?

Yeah, they were created by Animation Magic, Inc.

If you've never heard of them, it's probably since they must've produced nothing but crap. (Still, Mystique is pretty well-known.. might have something wih the nature of their games)

I have the original japanese version, and trust me: If you don't absolutely HAVE to understand the extremely thin storyline*, import this game. Navi Trackers is very entertaining, and not that hard to understand (the in-game tutorial doesn't help much, but there's a nice guide on GameFAQs). It's kinda like Mario Party, just fun. And without the die and board. And very few minigames (less than 10, I think, and you'll only play 2 each round. And the first one is almost always that stupid memory matching game that's really easy to mess up on (Stupid skulls).) Not releasing this game outside Japan is one of the bigger mistakes Nintendo has made recently. (Yeah, there was that damned boring sailing in Wind Waker, but that wasn't THIS bad.)

*Basically: "Evil guy releases eviler guy and kidnaps Zelda and some other chicks. Go from point A to point B, collect shiny stuff, and kill evil stuff. Save chicks and kill evil guy and eviler guy. And save some knight guys and recover some rocks." (No, I didn't play the original Four Swords, but as far as I know, it was pretty much just "Kill evil guy and save Zelda". "Evil Guy" in the original is known as "Eviler Guy" in this game.)
Spoiler:
Oh, and I think Gannon is involved, since the idiots on GameFAQs don't mark spoilers.

Jesus CHRIST, I forgot all about those damn things. Yeah, those were annoying as hell, because you had to jump on them PERFECTLY, or else you'd take damage and thus fall right through the thing to your death. ARRRRRGH.

Bah, they aren't hard. Those stupid flying platforms later on the stage are much worse. You know, since you can die at them.

I believe Dr. Wily put a low roof lined with spikes in the room where you fight him in MMVGB. Of course, his ground-crawling beams are insanely easy to avoid, so you'll make it without much trouble.

King in Rockman and Forte was an ass. You had to fight him what, 5 times in a row? With no energy tanks? Woo.

Then of course there's "The Wall" from MM2, which is just annoying due to the fact that he MUST be defeated with a certain weapon, which must be used at the right places, which must be reached with those item adaptors. Run out of weapon energy for one of the 3 or 4 required items, and you're screwed.

Mercury from MMVGB has a weak point he exposes for half a millisecond every other year or so, making him annoying too. Same with Armored Armadillo from MMX, but his attack hit and kill you easily if you don't have the right weapon. Mercury couldn't hit the side of a barn, so he's not that hard to beat with the blaster.. it just takes way too long.

And then there's always "stuff that knock/push/pull you in some direction and tend to be placed near spikes." Lovable. The GB MMs are full of them. The first NES game too. There are a bunch in Cut Man's level.

The REmake ones don't suck THAT much. At least if you compare them to the original RE VAs.

(Kirb: A rat-tail is not the same as a ponytail. A rat-tail is what you get if you cut most of the hair at the back of your head, except for one small patch, which will grow to a considerable length. It's kinda like a mullet, just thinner.)

...while Mint finally crawled onto the dock.

Mint: If it IS her, tell her I'm gonna kill her. If I make it through this alive. God, I didn't even ant to go along in the first place, I just kinda tagged along because I was bored. YOU was the one to risk your lif and get killed and stuff.

Mint was, unsurprisingly, not in a very good mood at the time, and wanted to get away from this fortress as soon as possible. She walked over to the sleeping Farid, and started shaking him.

Mint: Hey, stupid! We're leaving now! If you don't want to be left behind, get going! I don't want to be stuck here longer than nessecary!

Mint: I say we go look for a way out of.. treasure? Well, since we're already here, why not bring some souvenirs back?
She glanced over at the guy noone had paid any attention to.
Mint: So, what do we do with sleepy-head over there? Anyone stupid enough to sleep when the cell door is open deserves to stay in jail in my opinion.

Well.. Another, perhaps simpler, way (especcially if you can't write japanese, like me), is to edit the text graphic into letters and symbols first, then making a table file and, by using the edited rom along with the original one, translate each line of dialouge by reading it in the original, checking what gibberish the character spout in the roman letter version you created, and then changing it around in a hex editor.

I suck at explainig things, btw. Hopefully you understood what I meant.

Ah yes, that was evil.

Um.. I can beat it... All the levels... at NES... yeah. Yay. Yeah, I'll die a lot, but I can beat it.

Mint: Well.. we could always split up. One group could cut the power (Codename: Gullible), one group could save the girl (Codename: Stupid), and one group could search for treasure (Codename: This group includes me).

Hey, that's cool. Even though I don't really support emulation of current consoles, this thing makes it possible for me to play 4 Swords, which I'd never be able to otherwise. *downloads*
