It looks neat, I'd name it BoneCrown or something similar, because I have to think about human bones when I see it; although it has this kind of "tape" on it

I know this is off topic, but Microsoft doesn't support Windows 98/ME anymore, as there will be no updates. The support for those two Windows versions was closed from December 2003 permanently.
As for speed, I'm running my browser on my older machine, but I notice speed issues compared between Internet Explorer and Firefox. While Internet Explorer is loaded fast, it loses time when loading Acmlm's Board for example.
One layout is not loaded properly (broken CSS file or layout for example), then the entire page hangs; except the header until the thread name it stays blank. The layout background scheme is visible only (in my case stars, since I'm using "Night"); Firefox only needs time if the cache is empty; this only happends if Firefox crashed (this happened only twice in more than one year since I'm using it), but on the other hand the posts load one after another and already display even the "incomplete" posts already (such as the BG image is not loaded yet etc.) while IE wants all posts to be displayed
-> Firefox is way faster for me; the longer start-up time of Firefox (usually about 15-20 seconds when started the first time and no major programs are open at the same time) results in way shorter page loading times than the IE which only has the advantage to be up immediately after you clicked the icon in the Quick Launch bar .

Posted on 04-23-04 10:13 PM, in Collecting Lives Link
It depends on the game. As for SMW hacks I try to collect as many of 1UPs as possible.
But there is nothing better than using some situations to let the game work out the lives for you:
For example in SMB3 or YI, I like to get a spot where unlimited enemies emerge (pipes), between the point where they drop initially and itself should be a pipe.
Now kick a shell in there: it bounces back and forth, hitting one enemy after another ... 100, 200, 400 800, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 1UP, 1UP, 1UP, ...

So you can get 999 lives in Yoshi's Island reallys easily while drinking a cop of coffee meanwhile, since there is not time limit
Then you're well suited for harder levels like Extra - 3 or Extra - 5

Well, that's a name like any other, since it is used in the English language namely
This reminds me about a movie - I don't know the English title:
The main actor's name was Gaylord Focker, usually the short form was "Gay Focker" .
He wanted to marry his girlfriend with her first name "Martha".
Now just think how "Martha Focker" sounds

By the way, an advocate in Berlin has the last name "Ficker", I think I don't need to translate that into English
Usually anyone should go change that name; but he doesn't seem to have a problem with that name

Posted on 04-26-04 02:48 AM, in Is there any hacks/utilities for any N64 games?? Link
Not too long ago the N64 sound data format USF was finished ...
It's no hacking tool, but nice work too
Currently there are only three game soundtracks done, but I'm waiting for the music Zelda OoT and extreme-G

Get the Winamp plugin and the soundtracks here:
http://www.dextrose.com/index.php?s=3

The proper thread in the ZSNES.com forums is located here:

Heh, the post about USF I made in the N64 hack utilities thread left its trace in seeing this thread ^^
It will be similar to PSF in processing (except USF still is new), just check the game music archivr on Zophar's Domain, there are more and more PSF files there
I wonder why it did take that long to figure out the sound data of N64 games
When I'm at home I'll try the Goldeneye OST, I must not test it while at work now

True friends don't value a friendship on the thickness of your wallet
As for me, it was some time ago when I was to prom, in May 2001.
But there are other price categories, the school rent a large hall and charged each pupil who finished school with 50 DM then [~25 Euros, since it was not the state's currency then) for each person who wanted to come
And not everyone wore only the most expensive stuff; I anyway don't like tux and uniforms at all ... except on the prom I never wore it again. But on the other hand the prom was fun; meals were included and the drinks were almost affordable ... some of people used this to drink more and more

When I still used IE some time ago, I liked the pop up windows in a DOS window style which wanted to tell me I should download the newest virus scanner for free
And inside the window was a clickable "Download!" button ... just seeing a click-button in a DOS-window is weird (unless it is inside a game) and makes me laugh

Posted on 05-01-04 09:03 PM, in Demo, or not to demo, that is currently my question. Link
It should depend on the hack. I like it the way FPI Productions did it with the demos from TSRP II. You can reuse old saves but not save states (of course, if anything more important got altered), you may play the world bit by bit, but it is also fun and better, since you can debug easier in a couple of demos than in one large full version.

Simply use Microsoft GIF Animator, it only has the most basic features and is no match with Jasc's Animation Shop Pro or Ulead GIF animator, but for setting up GIFs easily without effects (anyway effects are useless in originally ripped sprites from games like Hiryuu's or my avatar ).
Unlike ASP and Ulead it's free and can be downloaded here, only about 1 MB in size
http://www.keyscreen.com/KeyScreen(s)6/MicroGIFanimator.htm

NOTE: The transparency should be set in the GFX program for each frame and not in the GIF animator

Nice screens, but the vine in the first two screens is odd; with no real start and end
Other than else, nive overworld. What about the single screens above ?
Is the brightness to high due to your GFX program ?

It works with any CD, DVD or anything with a metal and/or reflective surface ...
But on the other hand your're right; nobody would waste the own precious and expensive audio CDs. And unless it is in series like Jackass it is not too common to shred the own microwave or parts from the own flat/house
Some years ago I lived in a flat with cookers using gas ... happily never something mad happened, like "leaking" gas; but some streets further a house nearly exploded because a person forgot to shut his gas cooker

On the old board, I contributed a LM FAQ (with the help of some SMW hacker/players it even grew a little ), I forgot to keep a copy so I can't repost it and cached versions in Google also don't have the thread
Other than else, I'm too inactive here to brought anything important; just trying more people to play Rud(o)ra no Hihou (yes, complain I'm mentioning it too often, I don't care) Rolleyes.gif + Smash.gif = Rolleyssmash.gif !

I' playing mostly SNES games; playing them is fun still today and still the best video game console ever - even when emulated on a computer
Only when I'm playing something else me (distracting from them), like when I borrowed a NGC with Zelda - TWW or games like Metroid Prime, they make me the computer remaining off more than I want usually
As for types of the SNES games I'm playing:
Mostly RPGs, peferably like Rudora no Hihou, Star Ocean, Tales of Phantasia; then strategy games with a small part of RPG elements like Front Mission, Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre.
Also I like to enjoy good SMW hacks.

Other than that I use my old PS1 sometimes (currently playing FF8), but since I don'T emulate PSX, I don't mention the games here

Enjoy your last time in school. When you're going to work, have to do everything alone and pay everything using your own money, sometimes you'll wish to have more spare time then. On the other hand you'll have more freedom

I use PNG all the way, except I plan to work with animated stuff; MNG is superiror to animated GIF, but as posted above a very low number of browsers actually support it.
PNG simply is superior and, hey, ZSNES already allows the direct dump in PNG format (besides BMP ), it has less space and more advantages like support of one alpha-channel, semi-transparency in supporting image viewers and browsers, up to 16.7 million of colors and it's algorithm is free unlike CompuServes GIF
