By "labels" you mean the names, or the lettering?

I'll assume you are using Windows.

  • Open "My Computer"
  • Find the drive you want to rename
  • Right mouse click on it, and select "Rename"
  • Type in the new name for the drive

That should work in Windows XP, and 2000, and probably other versions of Windows too, but I can't be 100% sure off the top of my head.

If you want to change the drive lettering, do the following:

  • Right mouse click on "My Computer"
  • Select "manage"
  • Computer Management will then open -- select "Disk Management" from the left hand side of the window
  • Find the drive you wish to reletter and right mouse click on it
  • Select "Change Drive Letter and Paths" (might be worded slightly differently)
  • It should bring up another window. Make sure you highlight the drive, then click "Change" (again may be worded slightly differently depending on your version of Windows)
  • There will be a drop down box from which you can select drive letters -- pick one.
  • That's about it....

Hope that helps. Obviously I'm working off Windows XP, but I know that there are slight wording differences in Windows 2000 that tend to throw a few people, and I'm not sure about other versions of Windows off the top of my head.

If you wanted a non Microsoft based operating system... I'm not quite sure. It's fairly easy to rename your drive in OS X, but let me know if you need to know.

Yup, that be a Monaro, all right. So I guess it's safe to assume you're a Holden fan, eh?

As for the basement comments, I don't live in my parents basement. My mother is a liiiiitle too controlling for me to handle that -- I'd go insane. I live in a sharehouse with two other people. I'd post their bedrooms, but they're both very messy

Hmm, I've not heard of "ArtRage" before, thanks for pointing it out. I can see that it IS a little painter-esque just from your art; nice to see another program that mimics paintbrush strokes well

I like the paintwork you've done on the sky and water in the first pic in particular for some reason. I also like your use of perspective in the dotted picture Although I find your comment about "real artists" kinda amusing

I'm not sure of any way to extract caffeine, but I know that there are caffeine tablets out there that might be what you're after (aws already mentioned). My brother regularly abuses No-Doz.

As for me, I just tend to get a decent cup of fresh coffee or two... that does the trick for my caffeine needs.

Hello Ben! *waves* (ps, you know me as ChibiTaryn)

Well, I used to have really bad hayfever, and I used to take a lot of antihistamines for it. Thing is, I'd get a tolerance for each antihistamine I tried after a while, and then they wouldn't work anymore.

All I'd do was go from antihistamine to antihistamine trying to find something that works. And if you DO see a doctor about it, make sure you tell the doctor what you've tried and tell them that it hasn't worked.

A friend I live with used to have hayfever too, and he recommended seeing a naturopath. I've not done so, but I wonder if it might help.

English, and that's really about it.

I learned French and Spanish at school, but I wouldn't know enough of either language to do anything.

Well, I have mixed luck with doctors.

I have had some really awful doctors, and I have had some really good doctors. I have been misdiagnosed and ignored by some doctors, and others have bent over backwards to find a solution to things.

Like I had to shop around with antihistamines, I've had to shop around with doctors to find one I liked.

No-Doz can be acquired from a chemist around here.... so I'd assume a chemist where you are too. You'd probably want to take a few of them for the results you require.

And on the note of caffeine, I might get up in a minute and make me some of my nice fresh "Black Magic" coffee.... Nothing like freshly ground coffee beans to start your day.

Um... what is the point of having an artboard in your profile if nobody is allowed to draw on it?

Just wondering.

Posted on 06-20-05 08:20 PM, in What videogame would make an awesome movie? Link
The Metal Gear series, although let's face it, the games are practically interactive movies as they are

The Metal Gear world is pretty big and complex though... Ideally I'd like to see a movie that doesn't cover specifically the stuff we've seen in the games but rather adds another story. A movie specifically based on say "Metal Gear Solid" or "Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater" wouldn't be as much fun to me as a movie that adds to the whole Metal Gear world.

Posted on 06-21-05 06:59 AM, in Apparently I've been here for a year. But there's another purpose to this thread, I promise. Link
In the past year, I've gotten back into my failed relationship, and gotten back out of it again. I've moved house four times, I've gotten a permanent job, etc. Here, I have been given a local mod position again (I resigned last time cause I was too busy) and this time I'm not too busy to quit either, and have been enjoying looking after Modern Art.

I know why your PC is freezing... it's because you are Ice Man!
Thankyou, I'm here all week *dodges tomatoes being thrown at her*

Anyways, on a serious note, just because RAM is new doesn't mean that it can't be a RAM defect. I have had RAM that's been Dead On Arrival before, and had to warranty it as such. You don't happen to have any other RAM that you could try though, do you?
