"long long int " should be 64 bits when using GCC. |

I use the version of IceWM that is distributed with Debian stable. It's small and fast, so it works well in my main computer: a 233 MHz PII.

I use Debian stable. I'd upgrade to unstable, but it would take several days, prehaps even a week, to download the new packages, and backing up would also be major pain. Jesper's comment looks like a response to BMF54123's statement that he will not install XP. |

What about replaceing bad words with images of the words. An image generating script could accept an encrypted version of the word and render it as an image. The existing shenc/shdec functions could be used. A strong cipher is not needed. |

They are using SQL injection. It is possible for users to send pieces of SQL queries when AcmlmBoard is expecting numeric data. If the incoming data is not validated, the user can change the SQL query(s) that use the data. I suggest using is_numeric() ; |

Try using http://hunter.stormbirds.org/board/ for a while. Your ISP may be caching the IP address. BTW, the IP address is 69.44.56.134 in case you want to add it to your hosts file. |

If you just want extra email addresses to use at different places to avoid spam, Sneakemail is a good service. That service provides random addresses that redirect to your normal address. If you recive a message through Sneakemail, the from address is rewritten so that replies pass back through Sneakemail, hiding your real address.

I started a thread in the Brain Teasers forum a while back about this game. Also, I programmed my own version: http://s91407720.onlinehome.us/patr/. |

I checked the thread at EmuTalk. The thread has been active as recently last January and a link to another MIO0 compression tool (by CaH4e3) has been posted on the last page. Instead of using repeated addition to raise 2 to any power, I suggest using a bit shift on 1. eg. " (1<<Power) "(edited by Cellar Dweller on 03-08-05 02:27 AM) |

(rereads posts...woops!) That is a contract/site rules issue, not a labor issue, and I need more sleep. |

I tried to change the graphics near the start of the compressed block that contains the Bob-omb Battlefield data, recompress it, and place it in the ROM. First, I tried to change the fence texture to 16 1 pixel high horz. bands of one bit pixel values (a row of 0001, then 0002, 0004, ... , 8000) followed by a block of zeros for the rest of the texture. When I inserted it and ran the patched ROM, the emulator (PJ64) segfaulted on starting the level. Other attempts to change the same texture brought up a RSP(?) debugger or hung the game. I was starting with data that I decompressed with my own tool a while back, CaH4e3's compressor, and the Japanese ROM. Perhaps it would be good idea to check the various compression tools against each other. Not much luck so far |

Windows 3.x had a registry, but it only stored information about file associations and OLE/COM classes. In Windows 3.x the only root key was HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and keys could have only one value.

The GunBound rank set is not working because the server administrator disabled a feature that is used to produce the rank image. Your rank image is supposed to look like the third one from the bottom. If you want to, you can pick another rank set. To do so, use the "Edit Profile" link at the top of the page. |

status.php and activity.php require access to the database to function. In order to move the image processing to another server, the data used to generate the images would need to be sent from a server that has access to the database. It is possible that the server admin could allow the database to be accessed directly through the Internet by another server, but this is rightfully unlikely for security reasons. A better way to provide status and activity images is to have a script on the main server that provides the data required to generate the image. The image links are pointed to a script on the image server that calls the script on the main server and uses the returned information to generate the image. Another way is to have a script on the main server that passes on the request for the image to the image server along with the required data and passes the returned image back to the user. Image links would not need to be repointed, but performance would be slightly slower. Regarding numgfx and the GunBound images, I'd point the image links for numgfx to Overclocked(if script generated images will not be blocked) or some other server and split up the GunBound ranks. |

You may be able to open your snes9x savestate file with help from your compression software, if it suppots gzip. Just load the compressed savestste and extract the uncompressed version. You may need to give it a ".gz" extention before your compression software will open it. I just tried it with a Yoshi's Island savestate. I used IZArc, but WinZIP or any WinZIP clone should work. I didn't even need to rename it. |
