I think that you guys are making too big a deal of this. If some n00b starts a thread about where to find an editor, close it and trash it, you don't need to get all annoyed. It barely affects you for more than a minute. The posts can get annoying sometimes too.

Yea I just wish we could throw them to zophar or something...I release all my editor information with zophar and my common boards.

I love this hex editor, it's the only one I use. Just a question: is there any way where I can edit a byte without having to type the byte in backwards?

Much agreed .

I have always found it odd why someimes people will post asking for a ROM or editor, when they could find it in like 5 minutes. Just a stupid waste of time.

Well, when I am corrupting, I have my corrupter (Erosion) and the folder with the ROM's I am corrupting open. When I am ASM hacking, I have FCEUd, NNNesterJ, Hex Workshop, my NES goodset folder, Winamp, and Notepad open.

How can you be sure that this will be the next SMB3 Overhaul?

Well, It would be cool if the story was in the actual game. A cinema scene would be cool (but you said that would take like... 25 hours, so...).

Because he made the first SMB3 overhaul, and now he's doing the next one. It's called 'sequence'. You should look into it

ZD has been known to call lots of hacks overhauls, like the hack Pokemon Brown.

I would have asked this on IRC, but long story, I am banned for 5 days, and DD blocked me on AIM . In nestech.txt, it says that the palletes are located in the RAM at address $3F00 and continue for 20 bytes. When I find this location in RAM, it is always at zero. Is there another way to find palletes without using NESTicle.

BTW, yes NES palletes .

I use it, it's amazing. Excellent for save state data finding out of (stupid grammar), but then again, after I found out how to add hex after going from RAM dump to save state, i never needed to use it. Great for ripping off other people's hacks though!

Kinda off topic, but you must be quite the asshole on IRC to get banned at all, and let's face it, NO ONE should be IMing DD on AIM

I mean, the guy has to have his privacy. I wouldn't even dare IM him... I know it would result in an immediate block.


I never said I was right in any way . He should have blocked me.

So? This is still the next. See, when you do something in order, you have the first one, the second one, and maybe a third one. The last one comes after the previous ones, therefore it comes next.

Just stop posting in here It's not a hard concept to grasp.
