Yeah, I'm still working on it. Progress was MEGA SLOW with World 2, mainly because it got deleted a while back (the last three levels of it, I believe) and I had to do it over.

*downloads* I'll edit this post when I finish playing. [EDIT] This hack is fun. The thing with the blocked ship entrance confused me for quite a while, but I got it eventually. (edited by Draconis Kenjishiya on 04-11-04 09:46 AM) |

I use a sort of teal color for my main OV...let's see here: Mmkay...the from lightest teal color to darkest: #1: Hue: 103 Sat: 147 Lum: 117 #2: Hue: 100 Sat: 129 Lum: 98 #3: Hue: 109 Sat: 126 Lum: 79 There you go. Maybe those colors will work...and I love your OV design. You've inspired me for yet another attempt at a SM:CIA 2 OV...yay. |

Uh, yeah, you can use my ExGFX and the Map16 pages, just give me credit in a random Message Box somewhere. And crap, I don't remember how I made the waterfall, I did something so long ago and hoped it worked...I messed with the midway point tiles near the bottom of the "AllGFX" file thing, I think, which is why I have the purple slash things as the midway points. |

I don't know how much you know or not but yes, Jonwil made a Block Editor with blocks that are quite easy to put in your hack. Okay, first thing to do is to make some ExGFX, which, let me tell you, is one of the most complex things in all of hacking- or so it seems, at first. Later, it'll be easy as pie. OK, first you need to open your hack in Lunar Magic. Go to "Options" and make sure the "Joined GFX files" is checked OFF. Then click on the red mushroom on the toolbar. In the folder where your hack and Lunar Magic are (at least this happened for me) should be a folder that says "Graphics". Go into there, and copy and paste one of the files into a folder you make called "Extended Graphics" or something along the sort. Rename it "ExGFX80" if this is your first ExGFX file, and then use a good program like YY-CHR to edit it. (If you need help in YY-CHR, let me know). Okay, then, once you have your ExGFX, go back to Lunar Magic and click the Yellow Mushroom. Go to Level --> Old GFX bypass --> Bypass standard FG/BG GFX list. Usually, you need to change "FG3" to get good results without messing up a great deal of a level. Open to the Map16 and 8x8 editors. In the Map16, go down to one of the blank pages and click on one of the four-tiled..um..tiles. Flip through the 8x8 until you find your ExGFX, and then, in the Map16, change the numbers of the blue tiles to the numbers of your ExGFX. Press F9 to save it, and then you can put that block in your hack. (In case you're wondering, 130 for the "gameplay properties of the 16 by 16 tiles" makes it completely solid, and D2 makes you walk through it.) Alright, open Block Editor next. Open your hack's file in Block Editor and go to "Add Block". Choose the block out of the effects in the list, and then open up your calculator in the "Accessories" program in the Start menu (at least that's it for Windows, I dunno about Macs. May be the same.) In Lunar Magic, check to see what 16x16 tile your ExGFX block is. Enter that number in the "Scentific" section of your calculator, and switch from decimal to hex. Enter that number in the Block Editor 'Add Block' thing, and press 'OK' or whatever it is. Next time you open Lunar Magic, that block should have the effect. If that was too much information, sorry. |

Me and my friend have come up with some pretty random comics. They're basically insane humor, based off...insanity. They're now a main feature of my website, go there to check them out. Some may like it, some not, I'm simply asking you to check it out. http://www.angelfire.com/bug/morth Thanks. And yes, I know the title means 'squirrel'. |

I have a translucent level that is accessed by a door. The main entrance is right near the top. But, when I enter it, I fall right through the floor beneath me (which is set to act like cement blocks) and when I try to fly back up through it, it won't let me go. Vertical scrolling at will and 4 screens are enabled. I've tried everything, except, of course, what fixes it. Help me! *argh* |

Maybe blocks that act like the green, yellow and red blocks in Yoshi's Island? Like, you hit them with a shell a few times, and they turn into the next block in the Map16...three different blocks, each with their own hit count. That'd be cool... |

While this isn't as frustrating as it is hopelessly annoying, I'm having a bit of trouble. See (http://www.angelfire.com/bug/morth/Major_Problem.jpg) here, I can't view the right side of the program. Yep. It's completely cut off, and for some reason doesn't want to go that far. Help! I've tried everything! I can't change the monitor size because the colors immediately go to 16 colors and nothing else, so that's out...I am confused! |

*explodes again* All the Gateway drivers I've found either are only for 9x/2000/XP, whereas I have 98 (unless 9x means any 90 program, therefore, that fixes that problem) but if I do click on one, apparently, I have to pay for it... I'm flat out broke at the moment. ; |

Yeah, I went to Gateway's page...*attempts to find drivers now* ...I can't find them. God, I'm stupid. All I found were drives...and last I checked, those were different. Don't mean to be a pain in the neck, but...where exactly are the drivers on the site? (edited by Draconis Kenjishiya on 06-17-04 08:59 AM) |

Sorry if I sound lazy here, but can anyone either send me or tell me the location of the foresty background in SMAS, the SMB3 one in World 8-1? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Aw, man. I was gonna use arrow thingys. Those look really neat...but, yes. I agree; the Switch Palace really should be hidden. |

Those are kick-ass screenshots, I never was able to correctly pallette, although I have many, Yoshi Island GFX. However, they're right, you should've asked them for their ExGFX first before just putting it in, and credits don't really make a difference; I'm writing a sci-fi book and if someone took tons of my stuff and put it in their book, and then gave me a little section saying "Obvious Parts By (my name)", then I wouldn't be too thrilled. It's kind of like that, y'know? It's just not cool.

Please excuse the annoyingness of this topic. I know I haven't been here for a while... But anyway, does anyone know where the GFX for the SMB3 forest background is? Y'know, the one used in World 8-2, the forest level with all the piranha plants and bullet bills that's mad evil...I'd like to use that GFX for my next level, but can't seem to find it. And yes, I did look. |
