Hello all. I'm DurfarC. I just wanted to tell you that this board has got another user. I'm interested in playing other people's hacks of great games (preferably Mario, Megaman and Zelda), and I'm working with some ROM hacking myself too. You'll probably find posts from me in the ROM hacking sector from now on (also, keep in mind that my english isn't all that good). see you around... |

I'm also having this problem. It's the same when I'm trying to edit the starting location's blocksets too (changing from brick walls to cave walls etc).

Can anybody help me? I have downloaded some of the IPS patches, but when patching them into the zelda3 ROM, the ROM doesn't work! When using Lunar IPS, the ROM goes corrupt. Some of the other IPS patching programs make the hack work, but only the title screen shows right. When entering your name and start playing, the ROM turns into an unplayable game, (blocks and other things appears everywhere) . Does anybody know about a solution? I appreciate it!

Done it already... By the way, if some of you're interested in midi's from nintendo games, I have sequenced some midi's (only megaman at the moment). They're available at http://www.vgmusic.com/new-files |

At last, someone was going to make a quality mm3-hack (not any graphic flaws or glitches or something). Schwa: your work is a masterpice. Nothing bad to say at all, I really want to play this one... Just one notice: The stones on picture 2 of Hardman's stage seems to not match each other (the ceiling / floor blocks), but that's only a minor sight. Even if you really want criticism, I can't see anything other wrong with the pictures... Anyway, keep up the good work, we all want to play this finished - DurfarC |

I think the original theme from SMB1 is still good. However, with today's games, Rainbow Road theme from MKDD is the true winner...

It looks like this will be a very good editor. I hope you will release it soon. Then we all can hack both outside areas and dungeons for this game... It looks very easy to use too, since the data isn't stored in the 32x32 way like Zelda3 (a link to the past)...

I'm using an english (the American, I think) version of the ROM... I haven't found the European... And however, the one I have works nice in Hyrule Magic... (what do you mean with "bad rom dump?). Emulators:I have tried both Zsnes (latest version) and SNES 9X, but it doesn't work... Anyway, thanks for helping me Update: I'm now sure that I have the wrong ROM (compared to the IPS patches at this site). I tried to create a IPS patch from my own hack and patching it back into an original zelda3 room, and it WORKED... This indicates that I have the wrong ROM, and that Lunar IPS works fine (my english = )... (edited by DurfarC on 09-06-04 04:50 PM) |

I don't think Sweden is more IT related than other Scandinavian or American countries... Take a look at this site to see the differences: http://www.globalis.no/indicator.cfm?IndicatorID=91&Country=NO&lang=en I know there are many swedish people on this board, but most of the people are from the U.S.A. and Canada... There aren't many people from the U.K here though... We are some norwegians too, just remember that we are only about 4,5 million people in Norway. Sweden has 8 - 9 millions (is that right?)...
