| UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND SWEPT DUKE 2-0 FIRST TIME EVER Yes, I go to the U of MD. And yes, to my IRC friends, I was indeed shitfaced tonight, as well as last night  So, here's an actual discussion topic, instead of my now-somewhat-sober rambling: UMD has beat Duke twice, giving them 2 of thier only 3 losses, and UMD was also the game that broke thier perfect record of 15-0 this season. Is UMD actually such a good team that they can beat the best team in the league, or are they just impassioned by the blue and white of Duke? I personally think Gary Williams being the UMD coach has a lot to do with it. I bet he keeps some special plays up his sleeves just for the Duke games. He also treats each possession with an incredible passion. Regardless of how far up UMD is, Gary will yell and order his team to scramble for 2 points on each play. Questions? Opinions? Think I'm just shitfaced? Let me know. |

Wow...Duke being swept  I wonder when was the last time that happened? I can't remember--then again, I don't follow college basketball very closely... Considering the calibur of coach Duke has--that has to be a big thing |
