His name is blackhole89 , but I don't know when he will release it.
I only hope that it shouldn't be too long, because I really want to try it out.

As I told peter_ac in a PM already, I am currently planning to give out a first release near the end of the German winter holidays (this should be around the 15th of February). SST already works more or less, but the frequent crashes and the general instability make it not really releaseable yet.

I'm pretty sure you can define the sounds of your instruments.

I'll probably make depressing remixes of the original themes, on account of it fitting the mood.

What I need to make it releaseable? Bugfixes. Lots of them. And some time, too.
"How does the instruments sounds?" - It seems I don't understand the point, or at least the meaning, of this sentence. ;;;

When you compose your music, there are instruments IMO, how does they sound?
I can't explain it better or we need to talk about that on ICQ.

They sound like SMAS instruments do unless you insert new ones (which won't be available in beta 1 because of a memory leak). Listen to any piece of SMAS music to find out.

I am currently trying to replace the SMAS instruments by better ones, but it is quite hard because of the lack on SPC bank space. (I slightly remind having posted a demo SPC with the Chrono Trigger instrument from Wind Scene applied to SMAS's Coin Heaven some time ago)The song bank 4 I announced some time ago still needs lots of time to be usable without pain ^^

I swear, people of you're generation (kids of 89') look down on the older guys.
I don't know nearly enough to make a program like that and I am very excited to know it will be released soon!

In SMAS+SMW they simply pasted the SMW rom onto the end I heard, with the extra feature of loading an uncompressed set of Luigi graphics for player 2. That's what I've heard anyway.

SMW's engine is not entirely different from SMAS's, and I think I know enough about it to convert SMW songs to SMAS. The difference between the two is just enough to make the songs from one of them not playable in the other one and vice versa (the commands are different, but the note formatting is the same).

@The_Raven, it is not that bad.
@Alexa, it is mainly because SMW had some (few) really good tracks (like the castle music).
@UnsurpassedDarkness, right.
