We've got it on TV but you lot can watch it OL right now. As I type Katherine Jenkins is singng "Caruso". Have a look, and see how the Welsh can put on a show http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/music/sites/tsunamireliefcardiff/ |

It looked like a good concert, but the TV coverage was shockingly bad, with more time being devoted to two random c-list "celebrites" than any actual music.

They need more rock. The Scorpions were there for the Berlin Wall takedown and the SARS relief concert, why not here? Has the sting lost its potency? =(

The Manics played Motorcycle Emptiness! *dies* In other news, yes, those two c-list gits sucked terribly. It was almost like the producers decided that that that was all the public was interested in. It would've been worth the time it took up (and the fucking liscence fee... was it on BBC?) if they'd have just shown the music. Honestly! Who tunes in to a concert to watch the same begging ad OVER AND OVER AGAIN and two presenters every other song? This is why I don't watch TV anymore.Oh, if I could have Sky One, UKTV and the movie channels without BBC... (edited by Retro-Kasumi on 01-28-05 05:28 PM) |

The reason they had the "celebs" on stage is that it took time to re set the stage after every act, they did their bestto fill the time I suppose. I think the message from Tony Blair was uncalled for... Oh and Eric Clapton SUCKED.. he really did.. where was Layla and Tears in Heaven? |
