Seriously. Caught me a bit off-guard. An old friend of mine from high school called me tonight. He had been in some trouble earlier, but was supposed to be getting his act together. Anyways, he called, and was telling me how much his life had gotten better. And I was genuinely happy to hear it. He told me about a job he might be getting in town, as an assistant manager at a restaurant, which is cool. Said he needed to do a drug test. Said he needed my urine for it. Which is...a felony. This is a guy I remember seeing him as an incoming freshman at band camp, my sophomore year. He was a laid-back, let's-make-this-fun kind of fellow. He was always interesting. It wasn't until I got to college that much of the truth about him came out. That he had kept his drug habits hidden from most people, me being one of them. I was stunned to find out, since, well, I hadn't a clue. I'm too trusting of people. As I had said, he had gotten himself into trouble. Served time twice. Rehab didn't work with him. He's been out on parole for several months now. So...knowing he's gonna fail this drug test, he's asked me to intervene. Obviously, I'm not going to, but it's how I'm gonna break it to him that's gonna be hard. He thinks I'm gonna do it. I can't, and I won't. I just worry on how he's gonna take that. He can get violent. I'd rather not have to narc him out, since he and I go back a long ways, but...looking at this...I'm not sure I have many other safe options. I dunno. I really don't. |

Go to a public bathroom, get some out of it, and give it to your friend telling him you did it. Sometimes a lye may save you from breaking a relationship and that's the only thing I can think off. Note: I am being serious. |

He got himself into this situation in the first place. If you're afraid of what his reaction will be like, I suggest telling him over the phone. Tell him exactly what you told us, that instead of getting better he still took them and it's hard for you to trust him because of it. He has to learn from his mistakes instead of repeating them. ~Delial |

Originally posted by Uly This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't want to be friends / have a relationship with someone that wants me to commit a crime for them. The line has to be drawn somewhere Also, what if whoever's in charge of the drug test finds out that the urine isn't his? First off, he's going to get in trouble (for what, I'm unsure, but I know he would), and likely have to serve even more time. As for what you posted, Steak, the best option I think you have right now is to do what Delial said. Tell him just what you told us, and if you don't want to tell him in person, for fear of what he might do, talk to him on the phone or through a similar form of communication. If you went ahead and gave him some of your urine for the drug test, it would only get him past that. Judging by what you said, having to go in for something like this isn't going to change his attitude towards drugs, so it would basically be putting it off until next time a problem like this comes up. You said you've already decided that you're not going to do what he wants though, so it's pointless to continue talking about that. Him getting angry because you're not going to help him makes sense, but sooner or later someone's going to have to stop him. I wish you good luck with whatever you do. You are in quite a fix, but hopefully it turns out for the best |

I've done it before. My friend Chris is into some drugs, and needed to get on his feet after kicking his addiction. So, I lent him so urine so he could get a cushy 25$ an hour job at a factory. So, he is on his feet, has a steady girlfriend of 2 years (prolly marrying soon) and all because I pissed into a pop bottle for him | |||

But... if you get caught I agree with your stance on things, and you're right, it'll definitly be hard to break the news to him. I'd just try to tell him that he really needs to work out some of his problems before he confronts you with a situation like that. You have all the rights in the world to say "no". |

Ahhh... It's obvious to me, that you should just break it to him that you don't want anything to do with it. Just tell him no. One simple word can make all the difference, and can be your easiest way out. It might not be the end to this relationship - he might say "Okay" and ask someone else. |

Mario, you can't get caught, they can't tell a female's piss from a man's piss. He has no chance of getting caught, but it is a thing of ethics that he is worried about. I've done it for my step-dad about 30 times, but if you don't feel it is right, don't do it. |

If he's a good friend, he will understand you don't help him if you think doing it isn't right. But Uly's solution is also good. |
