This is a review for the steaming load Space Shuttle Project for NES by yours truly:

So lets get right down to business. They make you fill out a form with your name on it, just like a REAL spaceman! the only difference is REAL spacemen don't have to stop random flashing numbers to enter in thier secret mission code, let alone have to select thier own ship from a random flashing list of ship names. That's right you HAVE to do this correctly or you lose a life. Did I mention that it's near impossible to actually see the flashing numbers? I guess they felt blue on blue was a good color scheme for a life and death situation (i.e. Filling out a form.)

So I filled out my form, and now it's time to prep the ship for launch. As commander of this mission it is MY job to make sure the Hydrogen and Oxygen valves are open, because that's what commanders do! Oh and those valves? They are moving blue bars of death, that prevent your elevator from moving! Don't miss the coundown!! If you do, you lose a life!

After I open the valves and get my fellow crew members to get off thier lazy asses one at a time I'm treated to the countdown... with REAL PEOPLE VOICES!! That's right, you actually hear mission control counting down! Well that's untill you get to "4" then it just beeps, oh well, I'll live.

Time for takeoff, as you are heading up into orbit you have to go through a slew of near impossible to figure out meters to make the ship do stuff that it needs to do. If you mess up a meter guess what happens? You lose a life.

Mission time. They have you do fun stuff like launching satelites (If the HUGE satelite you are toting gets hit by a smaller Tie-Fighter satelite then you lose a life, you run out of Oxygen in space... you lose a life.) Other missions will have you build a space station (If you get hit by a tie fighter, touch the red barriers of doom, or get crushed by the crushinator... well you can guess what happens. Oh you have an Oxygen meter in this one too.)

After that hard mission, it's time to go back home. This is exactly like take off, except with some different meters.

When you land, you get to see a news paper that calls you a hero... that is untill Mission 6... the last mission.

In mission six, you take off, fix a space station, and land. All retty much routine, except for the impossibly fast death valves that you have to turn on, the "valve" meter on takeoff (which is a six step game of "Simon"), and the fact that fixing space stations is hard as crap.

If you survive this suicide mission somehow, you don't get a newspaper...
oh no...
you get something much worse...
GEORGE BUSH SR.! That's right Mr. Read-My-Lips himself gives you a pat on the back... Congratulations my ass... it's more like

Ok Impala!

Ok!

Looks like a pretty cool game. Didn't even know this one existed. I don't recall this game being released in Europe. Seeing it was released in 1991 that's not very strange.

It got good reviews on GameFAQs, though.
