Should we have a staff re-org?
Oh...and maybe some reasons why you think the way you do as well.

Because most of these newbies become big, BIG problems. You indeed are new, but this board seems to attract a certain clientelle. Have you noticed any of these newbies post ANYTHING of relevance, or anything with a semblence to intelligence...No?

There you go.

The ones that get banned get banned for a good reason, there's no doubt about that.

Take, for example, Samur4iX. Several of the staff members know him from tRO, and there are times when he causes trouble there. Not only that, but if you take a look in the officer's club, he out and out insulted Valcion, who already had problems with him from RO.

Then there's Scyther, who just keeps on reregistering.

The people who are obvious joke users, like this guy or this guy are good examples, as well.

Then there's people who reregister when they've been banned for a long time, like him. Personally, I don't think that's such a bad offense, if someone's been gone for a long time there's a chance he or she might have learned his or her lesson in their forced absence. Still, it's breaking the rules, no matter what you do.

I'm a new user too... In fact, technically newer than you, even though we registered around the same time. I've always seen the staff here as tolerant, and willing to accept a complaint, regardless of the possible lesser status I hold as a newer user.

Plus, even older users can get banned. Look at Legion, sadly enough...

First, there are other things you could do besides reregistering, like simply PMing an admin after a (long) while, and asking if you could possibly be allowed one last chance. Reregistering obviously does work (coughlegion) for some people though, but usually you're killed before you get too far.

Second, I don't know why everyone seems to think that Legion's ban was unfair. Several people, including a good deal of staff. He had been permabanned two times before, and technicallys houldn't have even been unbanned in the first place.

I didn't mean it in a way that said that it was unfair, I learned a bit more about what happened behind his ban and changed my stance on it.

What I meant by it was that the oldest users aren't exempt from the rules, and it's sad to see someone who obviously knows the rules break them anyway.

I'll be direct. Before doing any staff restruc, the current staff should look at themselves. There's no freaking guidelines. No standards, no tracking system on bns, warning etc.

When the board was small, we didn't need it. We we replying like to each others. Short, complete replies. Today the same stuff is considered spam. we were at most, 40 daily active users.

As time went by, new users, friends, etc came along. New staff was needed. It's like running a business. Got more entry-level employes, need more staff to manage all of them. Not enough, you'll have chaos. Too many, they'll step on each other. Small staff can be more lenient. Bigger staff need more stict guidelines. With a lot of people, if one goes out of line, it's quick 10 will follow. Smaller board, only 2-3 will follow, it's not that critical

Anyway, overall, staff needs to get it's act together instead of changing where the problem is.

(Besides, Didn't we had enough talk about that recent permaban? ~_~)
