hehe, not really.  this is a quick fix for the incredibly crappy pirate pokemon game for snes. i stumbled across this game when i was browsing through (pd)-roms in order to get some inspiration for the intro of my upcoming breath of fire 2 hack. this game had a really stupid protection. i assume there was some kind of octal latch on the pirate cart that would just buffer any value written to the data bus.(i dont have the cart myself) it was used for some check in the intro and to set up a write to $2116/7 (to copy tile data for each level to vram), so i had to manually store the correct vram adress in the register, otherwise it had corrupted graphics. took 10 minutes to hack! stupid pirates, to think that a crappy protection like that could stop me! Wait, so this is for that 'game' that just shows a scrolling picture?  I thought that was just someone being a wise guy and claiming that was the entire game.It actually looks pretty good for a pirate, I can see a lot of work went into the graphics. |

| Yes, crappy game indeed, but it's nice to know it's a real game. Is it just me or is the only pokemon after level 1 Porygon? The rest of the monsters seem to be unedited.
