Now that I think about the best character's in the game aren't always the main... Wow I shoulda known that from the start. I coulda replaced Zidane with Vivi, Marche with Shara (SP?), and Tidus with Auron... My bad.  |

| Well, might as well keep this one alive: I can't stand Squall as a main character. His catchphrase, a phrase that many people are supposed to build their perceptions of a character around, assuming they even have one, is a fucking ELLIPSIS. DOT. DOT. DOT. "Hey, Squall, what'd you eat for breakfast today?" "..." "Hey Squall, what're you doing tonight?" "..." "Hey Squall, will you sleep with me?" "..." It's like he's dead or something. You get almost nothing out of him as a character. I can't see what's so deep and mysterious about him. Cloud's not a pansy, Marche is. And Zidane. And Tidus. But Cloud still gets supremely owned by Ramza. Ramza is a good example of a hero. His goals and motives are clearly defined for the person who is supposed to be taking on his persona. He is a constant throughout the entire shifting, twisting plot of Final Fantasy Tactics. While everyone else's allegiances become completely crunched by the coup d'etait that occurs among the two kingdoms, Ramza stays allied to one supreme force above all else: His own personal beliefs and the morals and ethics that were taught to him by his noble family. Ramza is an excellent hero. He matures throughout the story into a real man, and one that's capable of taking on entire armies by himself, no less. WITHOUT SUMMONS, might I add. Unless, you know, you swing that way. So yeah, FFTactics wins again. |

| Brunken Drawler... you fail on some many damn levels. I can't stand people who don't include every game in the series because they haven't played them. I'm really serious, I know tons of people who say bad things about IV and V simply because they haven't played them. Please, before you start any more threads about favorite whatever, play all the games. Its not that hard to find a rom if you don't own them. Cecil > every other numbered final fantasy's main hero. Because, he is actually a hero O_o *gasp* *shock* But, yeah Ramza kicks ass so I voted for him.
