Oh so I must just be crazy then. It's perfectly fine to torture animals  All forms of torture are wrong. I just personally beleive that all forms of life are equal.. and that the "plight of a rabbit" is equivalent to the plight of any man or woman. But that just contributes to why I'm not too fond of Bush. How can you be devout christian and then spark a war that kills thousands of people? How does the man sleep at night? The war on terrorism is perfectly justified, but he's just brought it to new levels. Do you know that most of my friends think that Saddam Hussein is responsible for September 11th? I was arguing with one of my new born christian friends who was absolutely sure that Saddam Hussein sent the terrorists here on 9/11. I just told him to get informed and then get back to me. It's a combination of misinformation and "morales" that kept Bush in office. Not saying Kerry is an angel himself- he was saner than Bush though. I could probably rant and rave for hours. But I'm done with this thread.. gave my two cents and I'm outtie. **Edit- The war on Iraq is not part of the war on terrorism.** (edited by more than meets the i on 01-31-05 04:10 AM) |

Given that there is no evidence that puts the brain activity of a rabbit on the same pedestal of that of a human...Well  I'm not saying torturing them is right, but the scientists 99% of the time are doing relatively benign tests on them to see how medications that can save MY and millions of others asses work. If they were stripping the skin off their back to see how they reacted, then sure, I'd be angry too. But that ain't happenin'. Besides, I never said you were crazy, puttin' words into my mouth is quite unneeded. Every born again supports the war, but not every war supporter is a born again. | Bush has driven america's reputation into ruin. While raging war against the world, and therefore confirming america's greed for recognition and power, Bush continues to contribute to the negative views of the world regarding the us. He doesn't stop to realize that maybe he or his country might be the reason for all this hostility. I think if he truly wants to bring about peace, he should change america's image. Get rid of the superiority and ignorance. |

| Before I begin, let me just point out that I am a Republican who does not like Bush. My problem with Bush is that he doesn't focus enough on the current economic crisis. He's off focusing on agendas that relate to EXTERNAL issues rather then on INTERNAL issues. |
