Tampa isn't getting the cup... at least not easily... cause Calgary -will- meet them in the finals... I figure... cause, Calgary is up 3-2 now... and yeah... we're gonna win.... |

Khabibulin was like a god yesterday! It was like, MAGIC! I like the Eastern conference finals, the matches are even and now it's 3-2 TB!

Even matches? A few of them have gotten out of hand score (and fight) wise... And for the first time in 10 years, Canada has a team in the Stanley Cup Finals! ^___^ |

They've broken the chain of Philly's home crowd dominance (in short, their undefeated streak at home), and would've been both the first and last to do it I can almost guarantee. By the looks of things, it looks like Tampa and Calgary will be in the final. GO LIGHTNING! |

Calgary finally defeated San Jose. Maybe Tampa will defeat the Flyers in a few hours... I hope so. |

heheh Go Calgary... yeah.... Calgary really doesn't need to win at home with the way they play on the road.... cause, they don't have home ice advantage... not that it is much of an advantage when you play Calgary... I really doubt it will be a walk in the park for either team.... but with the way Calgary plays on the road... it won't be easy for either TB or Philly to beat Calgary |

Saturday night. Philly vs. Tampa Bay. Winner takes all. ...This is how hockey should be played. |

The last game was, in my opinion, the best in the series.

Lecavalier had a pretty good chance of scoring in the overtime period. BUT he wasn't able to do it. Damnit.

Lightning win game 7 baby! Talk about tight game, did anyone see that save Robert Esche made in the closing seconds of play? Odd-man rushes were kept to a real low, but Richards had one hell of an opportunity late in the 3rd. Khabibulin should've had that one lone goal by Johnson, but without him Philly could've easily walked out of Tampa with the Prince of Whales. Still, the Lightning will have to be as explosive on offense in the Calgary series as this if not more. Kipper won't be stopped (quite) as easily as Esche did this series. |

Tampa/Calgary is going to be a great final. For the first time in a LONG time, you have two fresh teams in there, and neither of them's going to rely on the trap. (Speaking of which... there haven't been that many BORING games in the playoffs. Really good hockey.) |

Let's just hope the ratings don't plummit to an all-low. Not having ESPN's favored Flyers in the finals may or may not be good for hockey with the lockout blooming. But, in all honesty, I think this will help the NHL. 2 Underdog finalists is nothing short of exciting.

Its been 10 years since we had a Canadian team in the Finals, 11 since we won it. Both these teams are speedy so it will be a great Final.

The Flyers were favoured for two reasons: 1) Philly = Good hockey market. 2) ESPN and *ESPECIALLY* ABC wanted a well-known team in the final. The problem is that although the ratings will be tremendous in Canada, they're not going to be good at all in the States I figure. Florida will have a decent rating... Some traditional hockey cities... That's it. |

Begining of the 3rd period and Galgary is leading Tampa 3-0. Its still a good game even with the point difference. Galgary seems much more agressive then in the other series. Seems like they want it more. |
