I got my first Heavy AA today!  And it was actually a "legit" AA, as opposed to the automatic-AA-for-full-comboing-the-song that the home versions also give you (I had 1 good, and 1 something else).If you're curious, it was on The Shining Polaris in DDRMAX, which I believe is a 7. Incidentally, it was on my final stage, meaning I got to try the wonders of the Extra Stage. I failed about 20 steps (Not seconds, STEPS) into it. Oh well. Also, I think at this point I may need to start altering my technique to pass songs much more difficult than where I'm currently at (anywhere from 6-8 depending on my mood). |

Now that I've finally got a chance to hook up my hard drive, I can post what screens I have. 12 of them as well, which is surprising, considering that I didn't touch StepMania until Sunday afternoon. Anyways, here they are: :: ACT v2; Challenge, 1.5x :: bbblow; Heavy, 1.5x :: Club; Heavy, 1.5x :: Forever; Heavy, 1.5x :: High; Heavy, 1.5x :: P.P.R.; Challenge, 1.5x :: Party in my Pants; Challenge, 1.5x :: QQQ -Bounce Connected-; Heavy, 1.5x :: R8U; Heavy, 1.5x :: S.O.S. (The Tiger Took my Family); Challenge, 1.5x :: TGTMN; Heavy, 1.5x :: What Do They Know; Heavy, 1.5x I also tried playing around with various other modifiers, like "dizzy", "boomerang" and such. I have to add that the latter is, well, evil  Just trying to figure out which arrows you need to press, and which still need to come around another time  Dizzy isn't that much harder to deal with, since the arrows simply spin in place.As of right now though, I need to end this post, as it's 30 minutes until 5:00, and I need to finish up what I'm doing |

| I did give that new simfile a try, and managed to get an "A" on Challenge, with no modifiers on. I personally didn't like the song itself as much as the different version of Love Love Shine, but it was still decent. Now, to sum up my playing of StepMania last night, I'll just say "Goodbye 1.5x, hello C400" I decided to try some songs I found too hard to do before, and as a result of that, I've got quite a few screens today that I'm proud of. The song is the thing I don't like. The first "interruption" completely ruins it, if you ask me. Of course, you likely won't know what that's referring to if you don't have the song, so hopefully someone does. There's a second interruption in the song as well, but it fits in with the music somewhat. As for others, the first Hell Scaper picture in the above list could be better, but I'm happy with it for now. The last 5 or 6 seconds are the death of me nearly every time. The rest of the song is very possible, up to that part.The above are the only things I can think of to say about those songs right now, so for the time being, I'll leave it at that  |

It figures I would've forgotten a couple of things yesterday First off, even though Dokudenpa is listed by that name on the song selection screen, playing it in Winamp and opening the "File Properties" box shows the same name, then "Poison Air Wave" in another box  I suppose it's better to go by the song name you see in StepMania though. Next is Hero (Happy Grandale Mix). That isn't the same version of the song that you'd find in the actual game (4th Mix, according to a page I found with google). The difficulty of the song is harder, but I think the banner and background are the same as the original.Now, as for screenshots, I've got the same amount as I did yesterday. There are a couple AA's, several A's, quite a few B's, and one C. It's nothing too noticeable, but it can't hurt to clear that up. Also, I've got 3 different "versions" (they're in different folders) of Quasar, as one came in the Keyboard Megapack, one when I downloaded all of Toph's simfiles, and one that sounded interesting enough. I'm pretty sure that screenshot is from the one in the Keyboard Megapack group, in case it makes a difference to anyone. Next, Prophetess is the song I barely managed to finish, if it wasn't obvious already If you're able to play it through to the end, you'll likely know what I mean. The only other screenshot I have something to say about is Triforce Majeuere. I've got two versions of that song, one done by DukAmok, and the other by Zounder, I think. | One hand, and that's what I've used since I started playing FlashFlashRevolution More specifically, I use three fingers of my right hand (I can't remember the names of them, but the three middle ones ), and sometimes my thumb and little finger, if there's a situation where I need to use them. I tried playing with two hands a while ago, but I didn't do very well. It's a pretty significant change compared to what I'm used to, and I'd rather not work through getting better again Next, I got to reading the various text files in the StepMania folder last night out of boredom, and one of them said something about easter eggs. I haven't found anything easter egg like in any of the themes (with the exception of the Batman logo in Techno Fiend 3), and searching for "stepmania easter eggs" on google gives me a couple pages that say something about the toasty being one. Are there any others aside from that? As for screenshots, I have 3 less than the previous two days' numbers on my external hard drive, but I can't hook it up today. The only one I got a chance to upload was Gargoyle, on Challenge, with C400 on, which can be seen here. The song difficulty is a 12, and it's done by Reach, and those are about the only two other things I can think of to say about it. That's about all I have to say right now, as I've still got quite a bit of work to do here today. |
