Well, it's not that hard. Even a full clockwise/counter-clockwise rotation is possible, it's... just clunky and slow to do. For starters, just quickly tap the first arrow key for the move input twice, then repeat for the other arrows. It'll work (Well, at least it worked for me in FF6, but that's probably a fricking different story for fighters...), if you practice at it... Or you could press all the arrow keys or whatever and hopefully get the same move... For a Hadouken, just tap down and then tap right quickly after. And for Dragon Punch, just tap right, down then right... It takes a while, but after playing quite a bit of M.U.G.E.N., I got used to have a keyboard as a controller, but... it definitely will mess up the keys in the long run. Poor right arrow key... *Shakes head*

The only thing I find honestly harder on a keyboard is pressing a button "as many times as possible" during a time period. That's easier on a real controller, since controller buttons are little softer. That small diffrence makes big diffrence for me.

Heh, I don't play diffrent on keyboard. Hell, I only get problems as soon I have to use the L and R buttons. Which I can easily reach but still tricky... Starwings get's harder to play.

To change the subject, should permabanned users have a negative post count? Because my rank is four users lower than it needs to be.

Why do you even give a shit where you are in post ranking? I'm pretty sure the ACS standards presented in the FAQ can be extended to regular post rankings.

UnsurpassedDarkness: Your post made me think about something. IF your post count represents your e-penis, then how is having a negative post count possible? Having a negative lenght is pretty much impossible, from what I've known.

Ok I'll shut up.

Nah, see, if it's negative, then it's represented by the area within where it should be being hollowed out. If it gets too far in to the negative it pokes a hole through to the other side, and then you bleed out and die.

Maybe because of the way your typical fighting game detects motions...for instance, you actually only need to hit six (Of a possible 8) points of the "360 degree" motion to do, for instance, Zangief's Spinning Piledriver in the Street Fighter games.

Well. I'm not exactly a street fighter enthusiast, so I wouldn't know that. I prefer alternative-style fighting games (like Power Stone and Smash Bros.)

No, since it would mess up stat-related stuff if too many had negative post counts. I prefer it the way that they have posetive.

While we're still around the subject of fighting games to a degree, I would like to recommend Gundam Wing: Endless Duel to those who haven't played it and like fighters. It is a remarkably good fighting game with plenty of unique touches. It's got solid gameplay, with real hits you can feel like in the Street Fighter 2 series (when you thwack 'em, it really goes thwack). It's simple to master too, because the special moves for most of the characters are the same... Fireball motion, Dragon Punch motion, backwards Fireball motion, double Fireball motions for the super attacks. Each attack is entirely different, however.

Plus, for SSB fans there's a sort of 'double jump', basically using the boosters in the air to zip over opponents or perform special attacks from above. You can dash on the ground, too.

Apart from all that, it has a very decent difficulty level, and some of the best graphics and VERY good sound and music, something which is lacking in other fighting games.

The only problem is that since you're fighting in giant mechs, there's a distinct lack of sexy girls being all bouncy and leggy.

Back to Ranma for a second... Two of the three fighting games came out in North America. The first game came out as Street Combat here and pretty much had totally changed sprites/characters/etc. You'd be hard pressed to know that it was based off the first game. The second one obviously came out here as Hard Battle and everyone knows that. The final one was SUPPOSED to come out in North America, and I'm led to believe it was close to happening (with magazine ads showing pictures from the game and all that) but for some reason the plug was pulled. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a proto of the translation out there.

Yeh. The game is quite nice, probably the only standard fighting game I like. I usually play as Deathscythe.
